  1. So how many distinct grimy wasteland dude/dudettes are there to collect in this wave? I'm seeing top hat guy, straw hat guy, 4 legs topknot guy, mohawk girl, welder guy, really derpy broken helmet guy, cowl guy with blade mask (+ cowl guy without blade mask). Sometimes they just get downright stupid with calling variations distinct characters (See Skip Vicious & Luke Cunningham) but the faceless cowl guys don't offend as multiples.
  2. I love this absurd idea but it seems hard to aim for second place entering solely in category 2...
  3. Well I for one think it’s time to bug the Tt Games team to bug Disney for permission to patch in FF and X-Men characters - everyone who was in LEGO Marvel 1 plus Rogue and Nightcrawler should suffice. But seriously though, time to tweet at Arthur Parsons.
  4. I can't find the leaks and probably don't really want to but did they do something okay with the Outriders' posture or are they too upright? Do they have satyr/Gremlin legs? And did they do Ebony Maw's face the way they do the Duros characters in the Star Wars sets?
  5. Heyyyyy figured somebody in the city discussion woulda seen this. I didn’t see the pictures until about an hour ago, and then i went and mentioned it in the ninjago topic. Also in the mining “starter pack” I think the muscled sleeveless orange shirt with suspenders is very Fifth Element Bruce Willis.
  6. Nope. https://www.brothers-brick.com/2017/11/20/lego-city-2018-sets-revealed-news/#more-98300 See the 3rd and 4th pictures for 60186 for the best look at the part. it was used in the movie to represent the earth element, next to existing parts (red and blue flames, Nexo Knights lightning bolt, and maybe the crystal you’re thinking of represented ice, don’t recall for sure), but was this little oddball rock that wasn’t a real piece yet.
  7. Someone probably said this already in the city forum, but I see that cole’s elemental earth nugget from the ninjago movie is now a physical part (in gold, in 2018 city mining sets)
  8. Yes, I bought one. There are two still on the shelf at my Toys R Us, no other 2018 besides the Ninjago Movie Quake Mech.
  9. As many tries in as I am to the race from the top of the blimp, it’d be nice if “double wide race rings” was a red (ok, pink) brick unlock.
  10. It's pretty much exactly a furniture dolly: although I'm not by the set right now and I think the lower layer is actually the round 4x4 plate, with a plate across the middle, rather than the frame of plates I made in LDD there. It's sitting in a room that's so filled with Lego sets I don't want to deal with it right now :P
  11. He’s sitting on my knee right now and you’re correct. Box pics for the people: https://www.flickr.com/photos/27846102@N06/shares/rSnyc6
  12. That's a good looking car. Is the hood ornament the "ice tiara" from the collectible minifigures ice queen? Where is that part available in gold?
  13. Does anyone else have "100%" but still have a single character locked at the end of the row before the customs? i just peeked at brickipedia and saw their list of playable characters ends with the last character I have too. i didn't know if there might be some extra secret thing to do to change that (replay story, revisit credits, play all arenas, make a particular combo in th customizer, etc) or if the game is just screwy...
  14. I kinda wanted to try my hand at it but I am having a bit of trouble visualizing the function. I definitely always envisioned a shutter movement of the forearm plates with the wrist, but then there's this flywheel attached to an actuator that attaches at the axis of rotation. I might sleep on that one and think over what's a compelling mechanism to adapt there. Got an original mask I'd designed in 2014, just did a quick and sloppy print of, figured I'd show it off here:
  15. Hey can somebody who's playing on pc put up a pic of the early adopter bonus item? I actually have the game on steam but don't have a properly powered windows desktop, so I'm picking up the PS4 edition this evening. I'm just curious what I'm missing out on while I'm running around being a secret agent. Also, are there any more current sets with unlock codes included besides the nexo knights prisoner carriage?
  16. Now I'm wondering how the ornate dragon head from "Adventurers" would work out
  17. I forgot all of the patterns can be seen in the app, thanks! Recognized... "dark drop", you called it? With the inking cephalopod? Love that design. My favorite yearly coverage is up, this guy really gets up in there: http://toyfair17.asmzine.com/gallery/lego/nexo-knights/slides/DSC01872.html
  18. Has anyone found a clearer picture of that side of the blind bag shields box?
  19. Certainly a good time to change subject I was starting to feel like a movie discussion derailer. I like that idea to give some spotlight to all the underutilized movie assets, like you're saying. I wouldn't want it to reserve shelf space for more products though, as much as I'm loving all the Lego batman products - I don't think we're getting any regular DC content with LBM and Justice League this year. And the "justice league action" cartoon that's been launched is special-made for reaching into every corner of DC comics and making it all viable for toys - even things that aren't classically kid friendly. If LEGO can ride that train and get us a big variety of comics style characters, I'd like that to take up the set slots.
  20. Eh, they could always manufacture new molds to make the same shape in other materials - I just don't think they have any interest in doing so. But there have been reissued part shapes in the past. For example, diver flippers - went from a paired breakaway part to a single, basically the same geometry, from a softer plastic to a harder plastic I think. Which has been done with the Dino tail tip/tentacle and the Ben 10 tail- a part that actually survived into profuse ccbs and system use.
  21. Yeah like the emmet's shower/gunfire effect? I wish they would make some of that too. Good for brick filmers and people making dynamic battle action displays. Honestly I could settle for solid light blue and red
  22. Warner Bros Animation and Tt Games love to act like this piece is a piece you can get readily in a variety of colors: It's kind of cruel.
  23. I think I'll get these by ordering the superheroes brickheadz and the 853651 gotham police set.
