  1. All right I have hurry up yesterday so the house is properly fit in the land. And here are the last photos of the tavern. have a nice day Phil
  2. Castle 1x 7097 Kingdoms 1x 7187 1x 7188 1x 7189 PotC 1x 4193 and within the post 1x 4195
  3. First I have to say once more thank you so much for all your positive feedback. This sounds interesting, but haven´t take a picture, have you? But this is like all others of my creations, they are all out of my head and not a replica of a real model. Do you mean the black one? If you do, I have to say to you that this is a sword I´m carpenter and this is one of my last three swords I have made during my apprenticeship 10 years ago. It is made of beech, leather, fur and paint. Left from this one stands the other two (not vissible on the photo). One with a skull within a hood (very similar to set 4766) and the other one with a dragon head. I love swords and castles Ok btt; usually I´m not answering without any new shots. And here they are, with the completed tavern (the chimney on the back). And the eagle eye view at the end. The next week I´m on vacation, so the installation to the land has to wait. One quick look on the clock... f*** it is half past three a.m. Ok, good night everyone.
  4. Due to the fact that his house is in front of a big wall of rock, there is no window and no dormer but woodwork too. I have a few more pics of details and a new overview by daylight and with the decreased hight on the second floor. The new hight looks even more better. And one view from the backside. The dormer on this is a first version and will be changed like the one from the front. Ok that´s it for now. The chimney will be build later. nice sunday Phil
  5. Here are three more pictures of the tavern. My plan is to give all the buildings an interieur too. And so my first idea was to make it like the modular houses with single floors to remove. The problem with that was the high amount of details and defferent parts between the floors so I decided to divide it near the middle. As you can see on the three pictures. Yes you are right. A good eye for that For the first floor it has to be this hight, because of the step inside the house (the blue circle on the first picture). If the figs step up they are in the right high for the windows. And all that should give the first floor more 'great hall' character. And after the firste floor I copied the wall with their hight. That was not good. I will try to decrease it by changing the two white bricks to one brick and one plate (in the red circle) All three floors and the wine cellar are incomplete for this moment and especialy the adjustment of the cellar to the land will be hard.
  6. Ok now, after a very long day of working on my tavern I can´t not longer wait to present it to you. The chimney on the backside is not done yet, but for a beautiful view of the front we don´t need him. It was really much of testing and changing, but after all I have to say for myself, this is the best house I ever made. The big angle in the middle was a special challenge, but there was never a point to cancel this and now it´s almost done. And I enjoy the result. This is a pre version with the green around. I will make better photos when it is all done properly insinde my landscape. A few little details were inspired by Derfel Cardarn (with his ok ) Thanks for that! I hope you enjoy it too I try to make all realistic in this build so the shutters can shut completely ... ... and the entrance to the wine cellar can be opened. good night Phil
  7. Three thumbs up :) An absolutely fantastic moc with lots of very nice details and design. My favourite is the monster in the deep with his claws between the lattice.
  8. This is a good question and if I´m right it has been asked before. No problem. I have done my first and only BL order two weeks ago and most of this will shown at the end of all, so all the parts I have worked with "lie around" Many of my Lego is out of used or new (not so many) sets and all of them are from ebay, except a few sets from local stores and my local Lego store when they have special offers. The rest are kilogramm auctions from ebay with uncomlete sets and a few of them are special sells with only gray, green, brown, tan or plant parts. I can´t stop it Every bargain is a must have for me (not really so bad but it is not normal). Some people call me addicted. But that´s my only vice, so I can live with it Now most of the must haves are bought and only new sets and special orders for this build are necessary. In my opinion is it nice to see what is possible with my amount of Lego without special orders (the one not counting) And btw: The modular houses are even not integrated in this (a few parts from one of the CC, ok). I don´t want to mix them with the old parts.
  9. That´s right, but I can understand him The work at the tavern is far more difficult and more protracted than expected. And it is not simple for an preview shot without showing the main special on that building. This is for the end and I will show it on the end Here are two shots from the inside. Not very much to see but you can suggest what´s on the outside. I try to finish it in the near future. Phil
  10. Go to http://rittersets.de/ and on the first side on > Die Minifigs < and you will get a complete list of all minifigs with all their factions and sets where their coming from. This selection is perfectly done and should answer all your questions. Same for shields on > Die Wappen <
  11. Everytime someone ask for an update, anything new to show is done. Not this time Last week was an awful week for me. We went 450 km away from home on assembly. I started the tavern before this but only half of the basementwall is done and this isn´t good enough for a picture, sorry. The good news is, that the next three weeks (beginning on this next weekend) are holiday. That should push all this a little bit. I do my best
  12. Wow. Perfect build! The first thing come to my mind was, hey that can be the original version of caerlaverock castle without reading your description. And yes it is. A friend and I have visited the ruin september 2010 and this is really a beauty. Your rebuild is awesome. The drawings of the castle from 1635 are very similar to this. I have taken a lot of photos of the castle and three of them show the old and the real situation. I hope the pictures can help show your heavy work on this.
  13. Yes this is another new evidence of your talent to build it in a 100% realistic and beautiful look. This one and of course the ship of bonaparte and CGH are the best versions of a galleon. If I can ever finish my project sooner or later this kind of galleon have to be build in the planque technique. But this can take month to it. To glue the parts is a little bit strange but the result looks perfect. Apropos building instructions. I´m not a fan of doing this. There are two big nice versions of ships. The fregate and the galleon and if second one will have a building instrucion too, many people copy one of them and no new stuff will be create. That´s a little bit sad imho. Can´t wait to see it finish. Phil
  14. First I have already to say thank you for all of your superb feedback, that´s my motivation for bricking on The Blacksmith is ready (outside) and in addition the little well next to the blacksmith too. Last details and minifigs will be add when chapter 5 (the village) is completely done. On one end the new water wheel is connected and drives a big hammer inside the building. The water inflow will be constructed later. It was my plan to add a wooden structure on the other end of the house for all the blacksmith things. An anvil, the forge, the water place and a grindstone. Unfortunately all of this is a little bit hide under the roof but that´s a little tribut for the realistic scene. Would you work under free sky if it´s rain? The first version from the roof wasn´t accepted by a workmate of mine, so the second version was done and hey, he was right. The new one looks very much better. the mechanism of the wheel and the hammer (a little bit easy, I know. Sorry for that ) The next building on my list is the tavern, but it can take a lot of time to give you new updates. Next week is another assembly on my work for 5 days. No bricking at that time We will see. have a nice evening Phil
  15. One short view on my clock says 'It´s ghost hour (in germany)!' *spooky* This is the right time to present you the blacksmith by night (with light). The forge outside the house has a light to glow up the coal too. It looks very heavy enlighted on the photo but that´s not. Btw, the water wheel and the big hammer inside are ready too and they work perfect, but this will be shown later. good night everyone Phil
  16. After a long time of testing different ways the simplest wins :) It´s only a 1 x 2 plate with arm and a 1 x 1 plate with clip clamped behind. Phil
  17. Everytime I read all this phenomenal feedback my cheeks blush. Hey it´s only a big amount of plastic OF COURSE NOT! This is a lot of love in it :) enough bla bla Yeah I have an update for you. My first building for this landscape. This is the first version of the watermill, but not for a miller. It will be a blacksmith with a big hammer driven by the water wheel. The missing parts on it (the wheel, an anvil and so on) will be done in the next days. Maybe as an update, maybe not I hope that my amount of work in business will be less in the next weeks (month) so I can do more on the next houses and the castle of course. the hole in the wall is for the wheel. But it is also possible that it will be located a few bricks from there, we will see. have a nice evening Phil
  18. And here it is. Due to the fact that my work table is spaceless filled with my moc, I decided to finish chapter 1 first. And then remove this and chapter 2 from the table to get space for designing the houses. The first one isn´t so much overloaded with structures like the tents and the knights but that´s good. Anything else would cause a loss of overview. Only for info; The single weight of both chapters is 3,8 kg. Now we can get it on!
  19. Very nice design of the ship bow. My first thought was that this could be a 8 x 8 vig for a minifig contest and hey it was Try to do a whole ship with this technique
  20. Fantastic work mate! All techniques make the whole build so real and lively. The 45° windows look very well ind the wall. Only the woodwork on the second house look a little bit more like a boarded old house like the shrieking shack from harry potter. But that´s nothing in compare to the rest.
  21. Time for an update (to late, to late!! ) Chapter Two is complete!! Oleee Work on the other chapters will cause one or two little changes after all but that´s not bad for this moment. The sand place was planned as a mixture between tournament rest and a celebreation place. And here it is. Only one shot for all the details is not realistic so I have to do a couple of shots. I hope you can recognize all of it. eagle eye view and the stragglers ;) The party will be extended with the last missing fractions as visitors by time. Crusaders, black dragons etc. But first I will make the trees (pines) complete to locate the exact positions for the buildings, I guess. Ok that´s it or now. I wish you all I nice sunday. Phil
  22. Oo this place to write and read messages was never recognized by me.

Ok, the torso is from the last castle advent calendar.

And all my Lego is from ebay. All of the castles from 1978 to now (one times or even more) and a lot of special offers and kg offers. Specially brown, green and gray.

  23. You two are absolutely right. We don´t want to get rusty. If I could I would present you the finished project now. But that´s fiction. Ok after the last two weeks and a long weekend the progress isn´t so far I wished. One part of the long weekend was wasted in building my two new modular houses a little bit work with a good old instructions can not hurt. I redesigned and improve the trees and get a new ebay delivery with over hundred palm leaves so the option of 2-3 more pine are given. Further more the complete green in my build is improve with bright and dark green places. And two new tents are done. One of them has need a lot of time to create the roof. Octagonal is very tricky. I have one shot for you with the new tent and a pine behind. I hope I can continue chapter 2 (the tent place) tomorrow and on monday. please be patient
  24. three new Kingdoms sets, 2x 7187 1x 6918 and three modular houses 1x Fire Brigade 10197 1x Grand Emporium 10211 1x Cafe Corner 10182
