I want you to know that I have restart my work after another bigger break. And for this I can give you a first quickshot on this beginning. This step has to be done at the end of this month for the fanabriques 2012 in france. So I have to hurry up myself and you can be sure to get new pictures in the next few weeks. Phil -
special order for a special project. Maybe some few parts will increase my medieval build. I have to see what will be unused.

New parts arrived. And this is my first time for such a big order. This is fantastic. Now I have to organize my Lego room new and can continue building.

Not very important are more instructions of city, train, technic and a lot of space.

Hey what a lovely scene and for your first build of this genre it is outstanding. I'm a fan of all your ground in front of the castle. Houses, water, green und trees. This is what a build needs to make it alive.

Yes, the castle on top, but there will be one step before the final build. Please be patient for this Hey, I have said I'm running out of bricks not running out of money. In the near future, my stock will be increase by additional 50k pieces for another project. The one or another piece will enrich this project too. I'm very excited about this delivery. -

The time between the update now and the last update was taken to reinforce the basement of chapter 5. The whole build was extremely bad done and I couldn't lift it up without a complete destruction. This is the open structure. And yes, the stand up variant was not a good one. I know that after I brush against them. And this is the result. But now everything is repaired and fixed. -

No I won't do a complete shot over the table as I say it before on page 21. These two on page 21 are the last complete pictures, but I have done another nice shots. I will show them after this one. My already shown house is integrated. It is the last one and fill the empty place between merchant house and tavern. The last picture is done by night, so you can see the light inside. Have fun Phil -
Hey my friend, another outstanding creation of yours. And everytime I thought: "This is so perfect, he can't improve this." And the next beat the previous one. I is a big pleasure to see your builds. Phil

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback and you are right. It is a bit more in another style due to the fact that the original is a typical video game style. But I want to try this and after the whole work I decide to put this on the last free place in the village. Here are two new pictures from chapter 4 with a little bit photoshop background improvement in a little bit bigger format. I hope that´s ok?! The background is blur, that is full intention Phil -

Hi friends, I have finished my last village building, a normal medieval house. It is a copy of a digital tudor house I found online. The only part I have made myself is the roof. The original is not really special. The only wow effect is to do this with cheese slopes but I don't have this amount left. Btw, I'm running out of good parts for example, brown tiles (no surprise after the mill) 1x1 bricks with stud on one side and so on. In this case all the tiles fit with headlight bricks and thats the reason why this build took more time than expected. And here are the first single shots without environment. The other will come later. As you can see on the pictures, I try to give all my buildings other techniques and designs. So the roof is designed in a similar way to Derfel Cadarn. As you can see on this two pictures, the front extension is five and a half brick wide to close the gap in the woodwork. The door can be open as usual. And one picture to show you the chaotic inside with all the headlights. Hm, every update is a very late one. It is midnight. I should do the last work on my updates more earlier good night Phil -
Wow awesome creation. Everything looks so beautiful. And the balancing of all the materials fit perfect. Phil

Oh yes. It is a convention of Lego and the in the cologne convention center. It will be about 30.000 m² with MOCs and many more. You can read more information (in german) on FANWELT 2012 Btt: I am pleased to present you chapter 4 with the postmill, the little mill lake and the weeping willow. It is late, so the picture are only with electric lights and I have to hurry up. Here are the first three pictures: good night Phil -

Hi, I have taken some pictures of my pine last year and add them to a collage. The big one on chapter 3 has a tree trunk out of the western series. This tree has no building instruction yet. Sooner or later a secont thread similar to the building instruction of Derfel Cadarn will show some details of this landscape. The mill place, without plants and trees, is nearly done. I hope to show him later this evening. Phil -
Very nice, especially the window with the log bricks. looking forward for the next step Phil

It is very funny to me see this variant. Best is, that the mayday slogan in 2010 was this one  Not in this moment, maybe later. The problem is the axle for the wings is the same for the roof connection. You are absolutely right, the managment is a little bit more difficult. The idea for the mill starts with the ecognition to expand for the farm. The new problem is that the rotation arm on the backside needs more place than expected. So, the extension of 16 studs need another 16 studs for this problem. But I will only expand chapter 4 with a little bit optical finesse. First picture for this extended extension Phil -
Best parts to have in bulk for castle MOCing?
maydayartist replied to dwarf-brik's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Hello, many normal bricks of course, but tiles and plates too. And to set them in a good position specials like: headlight bricks, and the new one with 1 or 2 studs on the side. For example greetings Phil -

That's it. The update version of this mill is the smock mill where only the top rotate. Here is another picture with good view on the stilts and the middle attachment to the upper structure. very Big picture of a post mill The long bar (good to see on this picture) is the lever arm to rotate them on the socket. Allright, it's done. Chapter 4 will get a windmill, ok that is what we just now. Someone will say that's not really logical near a rock and yeah in general it is but this is a special higher place and the rock nearby is the only one in this area Unfortunately the windmill on my mind was never seen in medieval life. The beauty "smock mill". Her first date was about the 16th century. Ok, I have to search deeper, to find the right for this time and it is the "post mill". Not as much as beauty like the other one but still a nice structure to create. At this moment I have seen that TLG has done a good job with their own post mill in the mill village raid. Nice to now is the fact that they started in france about the 13th century but build in abundance in germany. So the second name for this mill is german mill. The next question was the parts to do the hull. Log bricks are too easy and not exactly what you can see on original pictures. So I have taken tiles. Grey would be authentic but in Lego they look not wooden. The post (in german 'Bock') was the last missing part and my first version was really nice but too big and a little bit uncommon in design. The second one is not as big as the first and same like hundreds of photos online. By the way; my version based a little bit of this original post mill "Bockwindmühle Oppenwehe" located in north rhine westfalia - germany And here it is (as single version with only a normal baseplate). Now I have to create a good place to put it on. Phil -

Ok ok, but first one part of it. Guess what it is. It's not very difficult, isn't it? Last changes and the base are in progress now. until then Phil
