Big medieval landscape: BIG UPDATE on page 26
maydayartist replied to maydayartist's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
First step of my extensions on chapter 4 is the update on the weeping willow. My current amount of sea grass plants is twice of the first build. So here are the old and the new (based on the idea from one of our LUG members, monteur!) version of the willow A new problem will be the place. The willow have to move for the next build phase. It is done to 70% and with a little bit luck ready for a first picture this night. Phil -

And now it is integrated on chapter 3 But I have to hurry up so I give you the pictures without many words. Enjoy! Now chapter 4 will get his extension. see you later Phil -
The army is great of course but the scene around them makes it perfect. I like the green in front of your wall a lot. But I wonder about the straight discipline of your attacking army. I miss the rough and chaotic atmosphere of such a siege. Maybe you can give them more headless movement and dramatic in front of their nearly end :) Phil

Big medieval landscape: BIG UPDATE on page 26

Hello friends, I have finished my next building. It will be located on the free field on chapter 3. But for the first time it is only the house. In the next few days I will update more pictures with different steps of the build. I don't know if I can do a similar guide to the one of Derfels. Maybe if there is a bit more time. And here is my farmhouse with stable for cows in it. I try to give every house any new style so the woodwork is another way like the old buildings. And the the roof is completely new, straw covered. I hope you like it. The next pictures will be done with daylight. Phil -

Hi Thomas, very nice extension as I already said. The best is the connection on your first two parts. I hope to see you on the fanwelt. I will be there with my medieval landscape. Do you plan another part? greetings Phil -
Big medieval landscape: BIG UPDATE on page 26

Hello my friends, After five long days without any chance to upload pictures on BS they are back, woho! And I'm back too with new updates. After a long break with only a short time for my hobby I collect and weigh my Lego and can now repeat my work. If any new updates will fit to the guild builds I try to adapt it. First I have bad and good news for you. The bad, i´my project isn't finished. But the good is that it will become bigger. A 16 wide extension on the long side. The six chapters are still existing so chapter two, three and four grow on the same size like their counterparts chapter one, five and six. The first resaon for this is the small place on chapter three. I can't do what I want on this small field. Now the field is bigger and the path for the knights to the camp on chapter two is removed and new located between chapter one and two. But you need to be patient to see what this location will get. On this time the extensions for chapter two and most on chapter three are ready. The extended space on chapter two is perfect for a new tent that's done already. And here are new pictures for you in order of construction: The empty 16 studs extension The new tent with two masts inside ... ... and the details from the inside The new bigger Chapter 2 before the path is relayed. The new place for the old little tent and a new pine. The first step on chapter 3 The big path with new junction Completed fireplace and relayed path and finally the ready upway The next step is the free place on chapter three. Hope to do this in a few days. Until then, Phil -

We still know/see your roots, captain! But the result looks perfect. The ruined look is so simple to do many think of. Nice mixture of colours for the wall. for avalonia mate Phil -
Avalonian Watchtower for the West Region
maydayartist replied to maydayartist's topic in Guilds of Historica
Thank you guys so much for your feedback. The spiral stair is in fact a detail that is installed at the end of this build. And it works perfect, although the Rock is build on Burps and Lurps and one of them are very close to the track, but it fits perfect. One detail is missing, the upper watch platform. So here it is. for Avalonia Phil -

My lord, one new watchtower for the border at the enchanted forests is done. More pictures can you find here enchanted forests watchtower -
Very well done my friend! The upper section of your tower looks really beautiful. And the snow cover fits very well to your country side. Phil

My Lord, our first official task starts and me and my fellowship follow this order. We have built a watchtower on an ancient tree on a tactical good position as an entrance to our kingdom. This tree is very old and interwoven with power and magic. He is an living structure and unaffected by fire and axe due to his stonelike surface. Ok my friends, here are the pictures: And details: There are a little bit more pictures from the whole built in different angles on my Brickshelf folder when moderated. For AVALONIA! Phil

Ok my lord. Here we are. The given tasks are ready or under construction: - The leader of my army on his "tiny" mount - done - My army - lining up - Our first building task - 75% done And in this case I wish for my title: "Prince Of The Forest" (or if you have something special comes up to your mind than let me know) I hope that my watchtower will be done tomorrow to reinforce our border line at the western frontline and the other done towers so far. Great work by the way my fellow campaigners! -

Big medieval landscape: BIG UPDATE on page 26
maydayartist replied to maydayartist's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Hello again first I have to say, no this project isn't abandoned, but the next update will not be the final one. Sorry My problem is that we have to do a lot of extra work on my workplace since two month. And the other problem is that I have bought a lot of new Lego on ebay and I have to control and collect them all. So my Lego room looks like an testfield for rockets and bombs My girlfriend and me have cleaned it up today so I can return to the project the next days. I have also a good and a bad news for you. The bad, it will take more time as I planed, the good, this is because of a planned enlargement of 16 studs on the long side. On chapter three a farm is planned and there are only two options, a half building (I hate doing this) or a bigger place to build this on. And I have to say sorry once more to all the ungiven answers, but I don't want that everybody get an e-mail only to read that nothing new is done. So I have a little pic for you showing a start of a new building for the village. As you can see it has a white plate. This is out of my winter market update that based on present time. And that's the actual problem. The design is not really medieval, so I have to change this into an old version. But the really difficult part of this isn't the house, it is the little quarter round stair in front of it. It is all build by myself with normal bricks and not the easy way with the Harry Potter set staircase. And this will be the next to updates, one little house for the village and the farm on the other side of the river. I try my best to update this in the near future. so long Phil -
Big medieval landscape: BIG UPDATE on page 26
maydayartist replied to maydayartist's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Hello friends my last update is over two weeks ago. And the new starts without any new building or something like that It is more a change to a completely new layout, a snow covered layout. Chapter 5 and some spaces around them get a white cover. It is very hard to think on a winter place at the end of summer where the temperatures are not really freezing. This is for a (only german?) Lego competition to present the new winter post office. I have asked if it is ok to present this now to you and it is, but the pictures here are not exactly the same. I changed the medieval layout to a present one. It is a very typical christmas market for our country and especially for the area I live. Some changes are need for a realistic view. I have removed the well, the open flames, the blacksmith tools and changed some tree places. After all my plan was to do a little bit digital rendering on some of the lights but the time was running out, so the pictures are all original. And here they are. Now the sun has to to her best to give us back the green landscape good night Phil -
Wow and what for a beauty. This is really nice. I like the way you design the walls with all their different types of parts and colour. But I wouldn't give the posting such a boring and in my opinon wrong name. I have thought to see a western fort after all the western competition in here. Continue the good work Phil

Hey fiction, do you mean this guy with his creations? Black Dragons Castle A thread with only this castle is not published by him. In this thread is a picture of the big kings castle and another picture of this is in his flickr folder. greetings Phil

Ok my friends, you want that change you get it After two hours of testing, changing and problems without end I can now present the new bow with tiles. I have also a lot of pictures of my different versions with all their advantage or disadvantages. The big problem was the space between the windows and the door. Only 2 studs are not enough to mount two 1 x 1 tiles on different angles. I had to find a solution for this problem and find it, but with this a lot of new problems start. How can I fix the snot bricks and get over the problem of their high of two and a half plate. More than 1000 words say pictures, so see yourself. the way it should be the first try -> too high second try -> still too high the easy new way and the best in this case And the final new overview of the house. That´s it for now. Now the next house can be done. And I think about your request for a complete picture of all. I don´t want to show to much in this stadium, but ok it is very much done and it could be the right time. greetings Phil -

Thank you, and yes that is all normal Lego. No other brands and no Duplo or something like that. Thanks man. Hm, you are right in one way. Only vegs where a little bit 'cheap' for suge a building. but that will be the problem. The salewindows are not a good solution for such a valuable thing like gems. Rug is a very good idea. This come into my mind by starting the third house, but the windows doesn´t completely fit to this type of ware. Weapons can be another option. this can be the store from the blacksmith. If you have another idea in this way, give it to me This is nice to hear and I will continue my work ;) Yes it is the QAR, she has wonderful parts and 104 dark grey 1x1 round plates :) but it wasn't my plan to buy it in the near future. The only problem was that I have get the chance to buy it for a phenomenal price, so I can't resist Thank you my dark elves friend. I hope not ;) As you can see in the last building, the shutters and the big brown arches are pieces from new sets or new for me sets. For example, I could get the complete 09 pirates wave for a good condition last week, and the arches are perfect for the woodwork on this roof. We will see how many things are still able to build. My biggest pleasure for now is, that my amount of new and old light gray, for the castle, is nearly untouched. I'm curious to see what is possible with this. Unluckily my amount of plants and leaves is nearby 0. Thank all for your comments. Phil -

Here we go again. I have done my next building in only three days. And I can't wait to present it to you. Last details likt the backside door and the chimney will be done later. And unfotunately one last brown arch is missing so I have to use a black one. It is a store for any type of wares. I think it will be finally vegetables and fruits. This building has 2 sale windows on the frontside to present the sales. The shutters and the boards can be closed and the door can be opened. the backside and the closed shutters and boards Next are details on this one and ... hm .. we will see. I can't say it in this moment. I think the place will pretend the type of building. Phil
