  1. SuperCow : I really like what you have done, I hope to see you selling them soon :) I am planning a big pnematics thing at the moment where the values need to return to center. The only idea I had so far was to use the little technic blocks that came with the lego ice hocky sets. I seen people use them for steering on cars :)
  2. Thanks for the feedback people. I do have the RCX (well 6 of them), the NXT (2) with IRlink and quite a few pf bit now but I seem to like computer controlled lego rather than the brain being on the rcx / nxt. So I could use a program to command the rcx / nxt (via bluetooth) however I am kinda limited to 3 motors Unless I write sub programs for each nxt to do something with a msg or get the nxt to control PF / RCX. Sadly no ones written a Robotc NXT IRLink plugin for the RCX, only PF. So I am either looking for a way to control multiple rcx vai a pc, or nxt to rcx/pf to do the same thing as the Control lab could do Oh and as for the delay, its true (kinda) the 1 second wait seems to be intermittent
  3. That is huge, wow must of taken ages to build, I do love the pirate theme stuff, I so need to build a pirate ship!
  4. Fantasic moc, thats really brilliant!
  5. I am really struggling with this interface, it works for a bit and crashes, has anyone in the world used the interface B in the last couple of years? Good came up with a couple but all dead email addresses now
  6. Wow a new one, gor iI had that model when I was little (have it now to on my fridge), one of my favourite models because of the childhood memories I mainly like stud building, I just seem to enjoy the old school technic. I try to build big structures and so a) I have more stud than studdless and b) it easier to build big things from c) you can use bricks with it. So I spend less time desgining the structure and more time making it do something ! Studdless was very useful though when building a lego hand and rollercoaster. I used it as part of the track
  7. Yeah thats cool mate :) Love the choice of colours

  12. The display will be held at STEAM - Museum of the Great Western Railway in Swindon on 3rd and 4th October 2009. This year, the display will be bigger than ever, with even more activities for all the family to enjoy and participate in. All models on display are built by Brickish Association members, making it the largest display of LEGO fan models in the UK. For more information see http://www.brickish.com/steam/ I Hope to see some of you there, look out for the technic display
  13. So how many people in the technic forum use mindstorms and what for? Killer robots, theme park rides or the usual brick sorter?
  14. Why move it? there are loads of UK lego people near the area, be well worth it
  15. I sign up for this, pirate sets rule!!! When is there going to be a pirate village
  16. Well I have made a simple one work that has a see through piston so you can see it working. I was also going to put that in a traction engine but trying to think what would make a good boiler that has a diameter of a bout 2 inches
  17. I think The Almighty Caribbean Clipper looks better
  18. So the fact I done it, do you think that be a quite a cool thing to show at a show?
  19. Well I did do it from 2 small pumps running on the RC motor, just was not fast (and noisy), oh is this a first? Trying to make something interesting for the UK STEAM event, want to do a whole technic mindstorm thing
  20. Hi people, I have built a lego pneumatic engine based off some examples on youtube. However I am trying to build a compressor to run it, I had some very odd results (for me anyway) I have been using the Lego RC motor. I first tried 2 little pistons which did drive it, then thought I would go to 4 to get more speed and it does not seem to move it. The went to using the really old pneumatics with the value block, this was kicking out major air, yet it does not move it. I am causing issues by trying to create more air? Any ideas?
  21. Brilliant MOC, very thought provoking, its given me some idea's for mine once I get some time (currently in a meeting),
  22. You got me thinking as i have 2 copies of this set both built, one as the second model (F1 car). so there where quite a few variations?
  23. I would love to list my parts i have but i probably have 10 to 15 times more parts in boxes than models lol, been slowly sorting it out for years
  24. When I am back from work (away at the mo) i try and find more mocs for the front page :)
