Really useful post people. I would love a large number of metallic silver tread and I will be getting that Hero Factory set! I was at AFOlCON where they were showing off some Ninjago sets, lots of new parts! We got to see the design process from initial model to final one. Very interesting!

If I remember you can control 2 led's off 1 power function motor channel so forward does 1 and backwards does 1. I believe it is a cable mod. If you then used a Hitechnic IRink you could control 16 lights, so 4 channels * 2 motor per channel * direction (2). I am sure someone has shown me this. You would also have all your NXT motor ports spare

I attend the odd train event and show off my non train models which is rather random I know. Trying to convert train people in to Mindstorm / Technic builders has failed quite badly to the point where I have made a simple train layout which is controlled via a NXT. Its quite addictive but dont tell the train heads I said that!

That is pretty sh*t hot! I love the fact it uses old Technic panels. I have tons of them and never use them

I believe we should have more blue and white models. It would be great if they expanded the Technic colour palette but made sure there was enough good parts in each colour to build something useful!

I still mainly build studded but dust is a pain in the big behind. I am slowly moving to studless but at the size I build, the move is expensive!

I really fancy building a crane. Just not got around to it. Impressed how much this can lift!

It can move in any direction. Each wheel has its own motor and Eric (the builder) can make it do some magical things.

Small update, I am now focusing on automating it! Also there are a few updates to the Flickr library. Sadly I think the giant head will not be staying
