  1. I have just posted up my new robot :)
  2. They are some great models, if I ever get time I will check out the instructions
  3. I will try and take some pictures this weekend mate so you can make some instructions, will I be able to put them on my site? Maybe we could do some for other engines and bits I have built.
  4. I have just noticed your avatar animates lol You jsut reminded me I must finish this robot lol!
  5. So are you actually going to try and use it mate?
  6. This is version 2 of Wheeler featuring a completely different body (old one was a red box). Uses 1 NXT programmed in RobotC and a Mindsensors.com RCX Motor Multiplexer. It is controlled via a Android phone and Bluetooth NXT port 1&2 for driving the wheels. NXT port 3 to lights up the face (hard to see due to the great sunshine) The Mindsensors RCX Multiplexer adds 4 RCX motor ports. RCX port 1 turns the head. RCX port 2&3 move the arms up and down (pretty slow moving at the moment) RCX port 4 controls the claws. Wheeler is just over 1.1 meters tall
  7. It is looking very nice, randomy when I first saw the picture on my phone I thought it was a lot bigger but then I worked out it was on a table. I know your fight with the center of gravity after moving the body, had the same issues on BOB in my profile picture. Try using hailfire wheels for a turntabe Main Bearing by burf2000, on Flickr
  8. That is pretty cool, where did you find it? Must post up wheeler today!
  9. Once I get my RC train, I will give this a go!
  10. I have one, I would try ebay, or use the Lego touch Sensor multiplexer and some 9v to NXT cables
  11. Hey if you need any further info or want to chat about Mindsensors, do drop me a email mate at burf2000ATgmail.com
  12. I brought from them directly and paid in USD as it was cheaper than buying from Active-Robots.com in the UK (LOL)
  13. Same here, well not a purest but messy. I might try it out on some of my pneumatic engines
  14. That is a very good idea! The legs are a bit basic on this. Give me some time and I hope to do some improvements!
  15. Using Xander driver suite for RobotC, I found this pretty simple to code for, it returns you an array of squares that it detects and you decide what you want to do with it.
  16. I have a understanding wife and a good job lol. Mindsensors has been very good to me lately but I have probably still spent over £400 with them in the past. As for Lego, I just buy far to much lol.
  17. So I brought this sensor over a year ago however have only now got around to using it. It is the Mindsensors NXTCam version 2(The new version 3 allows custom firmware, oh also seems to be a V4, will investigate). It can track up to 8 objects at a time and you can configure what colours it tracks via NXTCamView It actually works pretty well compared to Lego Vision Command which to be fair was made years ago and was just a normal web cam. I wrote my own VB app to control that. The main reason I am posting up about this is that I feel this sensor is not used enough in projects. Its actually very useful. I plan to put it on The T1 Robots to detect when people pass. I would not recommend unscrewing the Lens as it breaks down in to lots of parts!
  18. I have used the HiTechnic IRLink a lot, George has one and yes there is a little bit of a delay but works well. However maybe I should review it against the Mindsensors PFMate which I have just received and I believe is cheaper. :)
  19. I decided to destroy the old walker as it was too weak. This is a small preview of the new one. Can support its own weight on 3 legs. Uses Mindsensors.com Pressure Sensor, Servo Controller and Pneumatic Servo motors. Programmed in RobotC and uses Xanders Driver suite! I should have it walking by the end of the weekend I hope!
  20. So people, as I get the chance to play with some cool sensors. Is it worth me posting them up here? Should I make a single topic and keep adding new reviews to it or a new topic per sensor? I thought I would ask the question as I don't want people thinking that I am being paid to promote stuff etc. (which I am not)
