Help with identifying parts/sets!
Modulex Guy replied to WhiteFang's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Calling that brick a "Pat Pend" brick is still a very broad area. The sideways logo bricks are most likely Samsonite bricks. Samsonite used LEGO molds that were retooled for their use, most likely changing the orientation of the logo with the retool. -
The spoilers are based off of old Group 5 race cars Group 5 was the "unlimited aero" touring car class. Back in the 1970's and 80's Japanese Bosozoku gangs began to modify their cars after the group 5 racers as a way to rebel against Japanese strict cultural practices. Essentially the Boso cars of today are just a "look at me, I'm a rebel" kind of thing, the louder more obnoxious the bodies, the more rebellious you are without technically breaking any law. Bosozoku just took the Group 5 aero to a whole new level.

To big? Nonsense, nothing is to big for Bosozoku! just look at the rear on this bad boy: The spoiler is huge and the exhaust pipes are just short enough to fit under highway signs.
-
Sup? My latest MOC is this ridiculous Bosozoku styled car: Its 5 wide, big wings, crazy colors and big obnoxious exhaust pipes styled like the classic rebellious Kaido racers and Bosozoku cars in Japan. I'll probably make changes to it here and there, but for now, this is how it looks: Bosozoku/Kaido racer by ChrisR18t, on Flickr Bosozoku/Kaido racer Victory pipes!!! by ChrisR18t, on Flickr Bosozoku/Kaido racer by ChrisR18t, on Flickr Bosozoku/Kaido racer by ChrisR18t, on Flickr Inspiration: Comments welcomed, thanks for looking.

Very cool! If you were to make these into real posters, I'd love to buy one!

I have never had a problem. They just tell me that as long as I can get a lid on it some what I'm fine.

This is how I pack cups: Once it cracks, it gives just a bit more room to pack it some more. All of this was in the cup above: 250 red 2x8 plates in one cup!!!

What's the Biggest and Smallest Lego Piece of All Time?
Modulex Guy replied to JCC1004's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Modulex 1x1 cheese slope gets my vote. Its about a third of the size of a LEGO cheese. -
That does not really mean anything about multiple sets coming out. It means that LEGO, in order to use the "Minecraft/Mojang" names on the Cuusoo set is to get a licence to be able to reproduce the Minecraft name on the set. Anyway, the 1x1 creeper brick is awesome!

I've boughten a few instructions before to complete vintage sets. I have bought sets at garage sales or on ebay that are complete and have the box but are missing the instructions, I'll buy the instructions and/or sticker sheets to just place in the box to make the set 100% complete.

Don't forget the "Friends" figs.

Porsches sure are popular! ...Is it just me, or did I start the trend with the 911s, ever since I posted mine, there are tons of Porsches out there. I think we need a Porsche thread.
-
No. these are only LEGO company or LEGOLand useable bricks. A.K.A. "Q elements"

This is so true! I'm also a NILTC member and I can tell you that you can pretty much display whatever theme you want... *cough* Modulex *cough* You probably have already talked to Stash2Sixx, but if you want more info you can shoot me a PM too.

Getting in the mood... for sorting!
Modulex Guy replied to Dakar A's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I've been sorting for the past two years. I hope you find some method that works for you. Sorting also depends on the size of your collection, if it is relatively small you should not have many problems with rocking out with your ipod and sorting your collection. On the other hand having a collection that is greater than 300K takes time especially when I'm still buying sets, PaB, and mixed lots. It just never ends. Right now Im staring at a 5 pound box of Modulex I still need to sort on top of all the other bins of unsorted brick. -
What do you have against Modulex? I can picture these sets as a basic brick box, with a fancy box and a big price mark up.
-
Very good detail on such a small scale! I would be proud to tow it behind one of my 5 wides.

Great work Mark! Lovely details even on such a small scale!
