  1. As most of you know, I am a collector of all bricks small, and my ridiculous Modulex collection. Well recently I have been into Nanoblocks from the Kawada company and am having fun with these super tiny bricks. My latest idea has been how these would look scaled up from being nano to LEGO. I took the Nanoblock instructions and built the LEGO version exactly as the Nanoblock one, using all the same parts. Here are my results: LEGO IS HUGE!!!! And I had to make a Modulex version too! Nanoblock makes Modulex look big. And the three together: I cannot wait to do more of these, so stay tuned as I scale up a few more sets!
  2. I quite enjoyed your film! its like a live MOC! ...also nice song, Edward Maya, stereo love! And welcome to Eurobricks!
  3. I know, I do not like it either, but I ran out of trans-black, so blue it is for the time being. And to those who say the hood is too short, it is not really THAT short, the 1:1 car also has a fairly short hood when looking at it from a side view, also I tried making it 4 studs long and it looked way more out of proportion that the 3 studs... to be perfect it would have to be 3 & 1/2 studs long (which I have not figured out yet) And for "Out of Sight" i will definitely be building more JDM cars, I'm going VIP next.
  4. V-LV-33F This is a LEGO Toyota ae86 Trueno from the popular anime series InitialD The car is built as a five wide and features tons of unusual building techniques to achieve the correct shape while keeping it 5 wide and minifigure scale! Only thing I cheated on with this MOC is just a tiny piece of double stick tape to hold the headlights on. :( There was no other way to really attach the flip up lights without making it look odd. Enjoy the pics: And of course I have to have the Fujiwara Tofu shop! More pictures can be found in my photostream: http://www.flickr.com/photos/51480565@N03/ Comments welcome!
  5. Good work so far. Its tough to get the shapes right when working on such a small scale. If you are willing to make it bigger (5 wide) you might get better results. If you'd like, take a look at my attempt at a 911 and get some inspiration: Blackbird 911
  6. They are actually smaller than Modulex. And, being that I collect Modulex and all things small, I had to get these and now I have quite a few of Nanoblocks, soo much fun!
  7. I hope 1.9 will fix the crash problem that us Mac users been having. I have not been able to run MC since 1.8 came out.
  8. Nope, a minifig cannot fit inside, due to all the supports inside. and the main body of the car is 4 1/2 wide and the front and rear body is 5 wide (excluding fenders).
  9. ...I do not know why... But I am kinda disappointed there is not a whole lot of pink in these sets!? O___o
  10. Dubstep... Yo. ...Actually it is unusually catchy.
  11. I am having trouble getting onto the server as well.... also, I just got the 1.8 patch, and now minecraft crashes on my mac every time I try to play. I hope Notch fixes the issue for macs soon as it seems to affect every mac to where the game instantly crashes.
  12. Okay, I'm sold. I'll be buying this entire line for sure! If not multiples of each! I love the fact that these are packed with accessories that will fit into existing city lines and are minifig scale. I do not care much for the figures in these sets, but I do love the beautiful variety of parts and colors!
  13. It is very fragile, the only thing that holds the front of the car on to the rest is just the windshield! But it is strong enough to where handling it is not a problem that it would fall abart from just being picked up off the ground. Getting the wheels to fit/attach in such a small space. Since there is no room for any stock LEGO axle, I used my method of jumpers and clips to do the job, plus there is such a mess of jumpers, headlight bricks, and clips under the car, it almost looked like it would not go together at all.
  14. Thanks guys! Yes, It was quite difficult to make this look "correct" in minifig scale, thats why I like the challenge of working in this scale!
  15. Would anyone confirm the colors in these sets? I'm looking at these sets as a new source for pink and "girly" color parts Anyone know what colors will be predominant in these sets?
  16. Stunning work! Everything from the windswept palms to the waves crashing on the sides! Great work, very realistic! Well done!
  17. V-LV-30A This is a car I just finished today. It is roughly based on the car from the anime "Wangan Midnight" The king of the Wangan, "Blackbird", a highly modified Porsche 964 with a wide body, and some cues from the "RAUH-Welt BEGRIFF Stella Artois This car is built in Minifig scale in 5 wide with wide body fenders. No LEGO parts have been modified in the making of this car. The design of this car is very complex and is made to a point where the camber can be adjustable! The car looks like it is sitting completely on the ground, but it is not, there is just enough room for a piece of paper to slip under. On with the pics! My car is based off of this monster: The car looks like it is simple, but it is one of the most complex cars I have built! There are parts where there is only one stud holding on, and parts where, even I, have no idea that LEGO can be used in that manner. Well, Enjoy, Comments welcomed! Hope you like my 964!
  18. I'm from NILTC. Yes, I can confirm that there is a show at the Crystal Lake Public Library this weekend! I am not displaying there this weekend, but there is a fairly good sized display there! I know I'm not in charge of the site emails, but I can tell you that the show schedules are accurate on the site and we never cancel shows.
  19. The tail lights are absolutely spot on!
  20. LOVE Em' The basic colors these are in make them look so cheerful! and they just scream "nostalgia".
  21. Hey EB members! I thought I would share some of the more wild cars that cruise around my town! First is a Datsun Fairlady Z done in a Japanese tuning style called "bosozoku" which features wild suspension set ups, massive camber, huge exhaust pipes, and radical body designs! This car is build to minifigure scale, 5 wide. The wheels are from "ChromeBricks" and use my building technique to have the wheels attached to the car in a cambered out and turned position. Rear view: The next car is the "Voodoo Idol" Based on a real car made by Voodoo Larry Kustoms. The LEGO car is made in 6 wide minifigure scale and features radical body lines like the real car. Also, unseen in the picture are the rear wheels which are present and the car can roll with no dragging parts! SHOOT SOME FLAME! And the real car it is based off of: And the "Voodoo Psychosis": The "Voodoo Psychosis" is also based off the real car from Voodoo Larry Kustoms! Hope you like my cars! Comments Welcome!
  22. What I was thinking about for this topic would be something along this line, why not just make a basic brick box, but instead of the primary colors, it is all the other colors, a box for earth tones, dark brick box, box for greys, etc.
  23. One of the Best Anime show EVER! I have watched every episode at least twice, have all the DVD's most of the Manga books, and now I'm trying to get the Diecast cars. Any street racer fans also might like "Wangan Midnight", its about racing on the highways of Japan.
  24. Order these little guys: They are Neodymium magnets, place one in between every LEGO coupler, makes the hold 10x stronger and really helps long and heavy trains stay together! No need to build new couplers, or modify parts to work.
  25. Well, I guess I need to update my anime list... Some of the Anime series I am watching now or just finished watching are: FLCL Rumbling Hearts (what a sad and heart wrenching series...I'm a sucker for these chick-flick kinds of things ) Hidamari Sketch Bubblegum Crisis (only watched the first episode so far) Galaxy Express 999 Ghost Hunt You're Under Arrest
