  1. No, there is no need for photo with measurements. When we needed to make sure that bot's size comply with the rules, we asked those specific bot's builder to provide measurements. Otherwise, it is up to you. To all of you guys who entered your bots in the entry topic: double check all the requirements needed! Robot name Signature move name Short summary of the functions. One or more pictures (max 3) Embedded video (mandatory) Link to the discussion topic In a two hours, I will post a list of entries that are missing one of more of of these requirements. Those entries need to edit their posts in order to be able to participate.
  2. @teos I have placed proper video link in the entry Topic, in your Bot post. Hope you are ok with this :)
  3. Great! Don't forget, you can make a collage of pics (4 in 1), if you feel you need more actions packed in those three pics. Have fun
  4. @pangniadek We need max 3 photos in the entry topic.
  5. Deadline date is Monday April 17th, 2017. Contest will be closed on Tuesday April 18th, or later. So, good idea is to post it to the end of the Monday.
  6. You have bumped several topic in the last few hours. This one is three years old, and you revive it just to say well done!? Unless you have somethin important to add to the conversation, bumping such an old topic is not very welcomed.
  7. I would say there is no fixed reason, just life. I would hate to see you taking the long pause, or worse. I'll move this to community, it may even get more replies.
  8. We don't want to see a bot breaking something. Lego was not meant to do that, and we don't want participants to damage their bricks. We want to see smart solutions and inventive use of parts. And we want attention on the bot, not on minifigs, tires, blocks etc. It the rules says so, there is no need to ask again. No manual changes/touching during fight. There is no "between battles". When your bot is in the Arena, you film it and that's it. Whatever you have prepared before that battle, show it without touching your bot. You can make 3 photos whatever you like, including all collages.
  9. Awesome and realistic look! Love the shiny parts.
  10. Since OP already moved his question to Axle Collection Thread, I will lock this. Please continue there. Thanks
  11. Glad to see again your DS! What scale it is? It seems to me that it is around 1:16 - 1:17. I would love to see it next to those trucks in same scale!
  12. Guys, lets ends this. We are changing the rules: Diagonal measurements are OK to be more than 45 studs. Yes. It is pretty late. Some entries are posted. Yes. I was the one who suggested NO to diagonal more than 45. Why? Because we did not want entries larger than 45 studs in any direction. Why? Because that is the limit stuff choose to be enough for motorized bot in idle mode. Initial concern was that, once we allow diagonal measurements, bot could be built like a thin wall with more than 60 studs in length. In that case it would also be ok to built a thin wall-like bot with length of more than 75 studs, if you measure diagonal in 3d space, in 45x45x45 cube. All while in idle mode. Not to mention that this 75+ studs bot could still have thick middle section. Yes, we read the forum everyday, this topic also, and we see ideas of what we could have done instead.
  13. Two contest per year average. Depends on other events on EB and the contest prizes.
  14. I knew this crane probably from the start. I think I still have the first WIP photo you showed back then, and followed the build all the way. A truly masterpiece in probably most popular 1:17 scale. Is video planned?
  15. Ok, but we need just one video. Try as PKW suggested, or as last resort, make a new, single video.
  16. @shineyu Instead of telling how accurate and good this looks, I will just move this to our newly formed Scale Modellers forum. As already said, it belongs in SMF! :) Since I have moved it while the topic is very new, I will leave a link for others to see where to find it.
  17. @Aventador2004 1. Resize your pictures. All of them are double the size of max allowed size. 2. Same in your Entry post. 3. We need only one video in Entry topic. 4. Capital letters etc...
  18. You need to upload your photos to some image hosting site, preferably Flickr, Brickshelf, Bricksafe, and link them here. We need to have photos embedded here in order for your entry to be valid.
  19. I broke few of them. Others too. There are ways to reduce load on them, but at the end, lots of motors and heavy weight of the model is too much for them.
  20. Yes, but for this forum, emphasis should be Look and Scale building. Physical builds are more encouraged, but ultimately, If a model fit the criteria, yes.
  21. I will provide my usual thinking when starting a new (scale) model. I have six of them in progress and they all follow these steps, It all depends on scale, and how much realism and details you want to include, and lastly, do you want your model to be powered or manual. For sure, choosing between brick built or studless built will play a big role. For scale modeling, most popular scales are 1:13, 1:17.5 First, there is a phase of collecting info on real life model, like blueprints, pictures and even digital 3d model. After that you have enough data of chassis, axles, engine, gearbox, bodywork, interior etc to start building actual Lego model. You print diagrams in scale, and you have 1:1 paper examples. That is all you need. The rest is try and error phase of building.
  22. @Aventador2004 @evortigosa @Kmuffin Guys, don't discuss bumping in this topic. It is already bumped, so at least try to stick to the Audi.
