Damn, that printed beard is VERY off-putting. Why can't it just be a green coat, without the silly printed beard.

That one is very nice, like I said, 7 bricks wide is a lot more reasonable than 6.

The final design for the Quinjet is marvelous! I was on the fence about this set, but now I'm sure I'll pick it up! I like how the chairs themselves are brick-built, not just blue LEGO chair pieces, also the SNOT work is subtle, but works greatly!

Considering that the 60's Batmobile has to fit two minifigs side by side I would think a 6 wide version would be extremely difficult to make it look good, what about 7 wide or 8 wide? It would be hard to get those iconic red lines at the front of it to fit into 6 wide as well.

I see what you did there I love this junk! It's great to see a more diverse range of ships in the Pirates forum! And especially a ship as good as this

The Musketeer wasn't too far away from Pirates. I would like a Pirate CMF though -
Deadpool in his "Wildcard" suit, and "The House". That would be awesome! Though very unlikely.

Big medieval landscape: BIG UPDATE on page 26
______ replied to maydayartist's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I absolutely love this! The village and the windmill is fantastic! I love the rock work too. Now all it needs is a dragon with a dragonborn to boot -
I'm sure all this love for the old type is nostalgia. The new ones are far more practical, even if the shape isn't completely right. They also come in a decent range of colours, whereas the old ones only come in black.

It was a lot shorter than usual. It looks like I'll have to wait to late March to express my love for LEGO pirates.
-
Excellent little ship! I love the brick built hull!
-
I would LOVE for LEGO to vreate a Mysterio minifigure, he was my favourite Spiderman villain. I wonder if there'll be many Spiderman sets over the course of the contract?
-
You are actually considering making them fire!?! That would be absolutely fantastic! Just in interest, I've never seen that motor before, thanks BasOne for sharing this. I shall look into this motor and see if I could use it for any of my own MOCs

Spongebob's hat looks rather nice with that red lining and all. I'll wait to later this year for this set to be on sale before I buy it.
-
That hot water method for removing minifigs from magnets looks interesting, if I don't end up getting the Quinjet I might have to hope there is a Black Widow magnet set. Damn, I want all the Avengers! The more I watch the trailer the more I want them! I hope we see more sets based off the comics in the next few years, but it's early days and that.

This is a fortunate by-product of my love for pirates.

About to say the exact same thing For all we know, though unlikely, LEGO might change her hair to a different hairpiece.
-
That is beautiful work! It definitely looks like TIa-Dalma's shack. The green water and the sand tree are very nice details!

Anyone got any ideas on what the Hobbit sets will be? I would love to see the 3 trolls, but I don't think LEGO would make a set with 3 giant prefab trolls. The problem with LOTR LEGO is that LOTR is full of such giant things, like dragons, mumaks and the eagles (That are essential to the storyline) and I don't know whether LEGO can make all of these giant structures and creatures. I hope they do, and do them justice.

The hand jets did look like trans-blue "The one ring"s to me on the jeep set, but I figured since they were just studs in the Quinjet it probably is the same for the jeep set. Though a trans-blue "One Ring" would be very cool (Especially for Tron MOCs )
-
I think they're trans blue studs, as you can see in the Quinjet set.

I was reading a Spiderman comic yesterday in a shop (I forgot the name of it, derp) and at one point Spiderman was approached by the 3 main Avengers and indeed Nick Fury, so it's possible we'll see Fury in a Spidey set, but improbable as I don't think LEGO want to base their sets off the comics. EDIT:Though that Ultimate Spiderman trailer surely reinforces the point that Fury will be in the Spidey set!

Does it need to be electrified though? You could just attach the axles to a knob at the back which you turn yourself manually, then you won't have to worry about any battery box problems. Although I suppose the point of this is that it's remote controlled.

I've always wanted to do something like this, you've done some great work here!

I like the aliens, they remind me of the aliens from the classic UFO sets :D As for figures, I am really happy with Loki now, I thought there was something needed, turns out it was a cape! I am going to have to get the Wolverine helicopter battle, just for the figures! Really liking Iron-Man too, I think it's a faithful representation of him, hopefully we'll be seeing war machine as well soon! EDIT: They don't look like Skrulls, unfortunately
