  1. Well, it was bound to happen, and it is a shame for all those great MOCs out there. Personally, I love loads of the "licensed" sets that people propose on Cuusoo, and i think that there's no way to remedy the fandom voting. But I wouldn't want to remedy it. LEGO has made people who use Cuusoo for great original MOCs aware that it may take a while and a lot of work, so I'm fine with that, if at least SOME of those MOCs get 10K votes. I don't like the EVE idea much, I'd much rather support the space marine theme idea. Not based on 40K. It will bring space back into LEGO's own themes which is nice. I also love the Western idea. If these projects got more gravitas then I wouldn't think it unlikely that they generate more support. Maybe it's just the people who make original MOCs, a licensed theme doesn't need much work to get it running, but an original MOC needs to be worked very hard on, maybe by advertising on literally every LEGO related website you can find, making Facebook pages, mentioning it on any social media and getting your friends to gather support. It's not necessarily the fandom, Original MOCs just require a lot more work to get 10 000 supporters.
  2. Another great idea by Sebeus!
  3. Worst drought, EVER.
  4. Very nice! Though a bit fast. Maybe, with application of JUST gears, you could move it manually, therefore you can make them open as fast as you want. If the motor's going to be turned on, on the ship itself then you might as well just use gears and need not waste the battery box and motor.
  5. I love it, great way to introduce yourself! Makes me wonder, is it BIGGER than minifig-scale?
  6. MORE Weeping Angels? Seriously? They were great as a one off villain, "Blink" is perhaps my favourite episode. But when they brought them back it sort of ruined them for me. I liked the ambiguous ending of "Blink", leaves it to the audience to decide rather than blatantly bringing them back. Now I don't mind Daleks, Cybermen etc... coming back, because they are a Doctor Who staple. But Weeping Angels, no. As for Matt Smith, I think that he's a great Doctor, he's got the perfect sense of 'crazy' that I think a Doctor needs. David Tennant was great, but he had some of the WORST episodes of the entire new series. The hospital on New new Earth was a really bad episode, the giant crabs in the space highway, also bad. He also had annoying/boring companions such as Martha and Donna. However, this is to be expected as he's had the most series. But if you looked on average, Matt Smith had the most consistently good episodes. Most of Tennant's episodes left me cold. They were either boring, unmemorable or had a bad plot in general. It's a shame that Christopher Eccleston didn't get more episodes though, because I loved him, he was "Fantastic!". Eagerly awaiting the new series though!
  7. Love it! Packed with details as usual! I can't wait to see some more space MOCs from you.
  8. Maybe you could market it using the picture of LEGO:Europa, a theme that LEGO was going to make, but stopped before any sets were made. It was based around the same period, if you make this I will definitely support it.
  9. Trains may not be my favourite theme, but O love Emerald Night! Down from the colours to the fantastic details, I could never tear this train apart! It's beautiful. And it looks fantastic when going around a track with PF.
  10. For Iron-Man, I have this long transparent rod that LEGO makes, it's attached via a hinge on the top of the building and the other-end is attached to Iron-Man's leg. As for the craft, this was a lot harder, using a smaller see-through rod, I attached it to the building, and then clipped it onto the front of the alien craft, with a couple 'o hinges it meant I could position the craft anyway I liked. With all of these things to make them "fly" it made it very hard to take the photograph, there's really only one angle I could take for the rods not to show. If I still had it built I would take a picture for you.
  11. It's definitely available in Britain then! Thanks very much!
  12. I am flattered! I can't believe someone based one of their designs of something I made! This is a great ship as well! I love the QAR sails on it, they suit it really well.
  13. It's an effect from Picnik on Flickr, I believe Picnik's going soon to be replaced though! You spotted where it was from, Im a brickmaster!
  14. This is fantastic. I love how you made the sea all rough, and as for the ships themselves, they are so wonderfully detailed! Great MOC!
  15. Fantastic! I love how colourful it is, I like to see colour in ships! Congratulations on being front paged, that's the second ship this month! Fantastic! I love how colourful it is, I like to see colour in ships! Congratulations on being front paged, that's the second ship this month!
  16. One of the actors, sometime last year, alluded to Spider-Man in the Avengers. However, this raises two problems, one being that as you've said, Spidey is owned by Sony, secondly, Spider-Man joins the Avengers later on in the comics. Also, I've just found this. No Spidey folks, nothing to see here... I too would LOVE to see Ant-Man. Or, THANOS! But the latter's highly unlikely.
  17. I would put a bet on that giant-wormy thing (like the worm in the worst film ever Transformers 3) being the "Midguard Serpent". I don't even know if Marvel comics has one, but viking mythology certainly does. I wonder if another Marvel character will have a cameo (Like the rumoured, Spider-Man)? It's gonna have to be one of those films where you wait till the end of the credits.
  18. Love it! It's got a perfectly smooth feel to it that I really like! I guess we'll be needing a lot of these this Winter again.
  19. It would be interesting to see what a non-FOL thinks. I'd like to see it!
  20. Hawk-Eye and Black-Widow aren't minor characters, but they aren't as major as the main 4 Avengers. If you notice, even on the LEGO boxes, only Thor, Hulk, Captain America and Iron-Man are displayed. This is true for lots of Avengers Merchandise, usually Hawk-Eye and Black-Widow aren't present.
  21. I believe it's available elsewhere as well, such as the UK. I want this so much, I'm just gonna have to save £50 for after AFOLCON. Which will be hard!
  22. Nick Fury will most likely be in a big "exclusive" set, such as POTC's Black Pearl which had the sought after Davy Jones in it. So, maybe S.H.I.E.L.D's main HQ will have him in it. Either way, I'd eat my shoes if Nick Fury isn't released at some point!
  23. That's amazing! I've probably already commented, but I thought I'd just say that progress is looking fantrastic! I am in envy of your stern making skills! How do you move it around?
  24. No, The theme wasn't popular enough before. Though the buildings and vehicles from it are fantastic, I'd much rather LEGO had it's own Samurai type theme. We have far too many licensed themes, let alone themes like Avatar which hardly anyone knows about. Also, Avatar's buildings/vehicles are a very similar style to Ninjago, to me Avatar would just be more a expensive version of Ninjago.
  25. This Mothership's really nice. It's a shame the UFO theme didn't continue.
