Why is this offer not in Britain? (Hopefully, yet) I love that minifig size Hulk! DERP:Because it says May, but we still don't know if it'll be over the pond.

REVIEW: 6865 Captain America's Avenging Cycle
______ replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Boring, but again, we all know it's made just for the figures! The bike can come in handy I suppose and the alien flying thingy certainly looks quite cool, may have to get a couple of these just for some more alions. -
Review: 6866 Wolverine's Chopper Showdown

Buying this set solely for the figures. Definitely the best line-up of any Marvel set. However, the Helicopter really isn't too good, but it makes a great dark red parts pack. Just another little thing, I love how they got Wolverine's hood hanging out at the back! -
Review: 6868 Hulk's Helicarrier Breakout
______ replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Definitely the only reason I may want this is the Hulk. But he also has many problems, such as the lack of posability, and, WHERE'S HIS PURPLE TROUSERS? This must be because in the film he's wearing a different colour, but I'm sure LEGO could of given him the iconic colour. As for the lab itself, the pieces are very nice, that's why I rated the set above average, but again it seems like it'll be a set I'll expand upon. It doesn't seem like the parts/price ratio is very good at all, but that's what you get with a license set. I'm on the fence with this, it's the only way (For now) to get the Hulk. I don't know whether I'll wait it out just in case TLC decide to make another set with Hulk in or not. -
That's one problem I can fore-see with this theme. It's based solely on the mini-figures, and this could lead to there being lots of exclusives. This could potentially be unfair for those who want certain figures but have to shell out big money in order to get them. I remember that in the UK it's hard to get a shadow ARF trooper. (I believe in the US they keep getting recurring promotional offers of him though) Let's just hope that TLC doesn't make too many exclusives and brings out many great mini-figures in this theme.

Ah thanks for that, I remember it took them forever to get the DC sets in as well. So then, it seems the internet will be the best choice then. Thanks much!

Maybe it's your browser then, I think it was mentioned before. It may work later, just keep trying for now.

I just checked out a few sets on Amazon.co.uk, they're sold out! Must of had loads of people pre-ordering them! Luckily, the LEGO website still has them in stock, would it be a sensible idea to order online or check if they're in Tescos tomorrow?

Probably something to do with your computer. Maybe try turning it off and on again?

Amazing review! I loved how you added the pictures of the characters for reference. That set looks great! Not sure about the flick-fire missiles though...

I don't think I like those Spiderman figures. To be expected though since they're based off the the Ultimate Spider-man cartoon series. I know this line will be years anyway so we're bound to get a more realistic Spidey.

This makes me wonder when and how we'll get Nick Fury. He's an excellent figure, let's just hope he isn't exclusive and is relatively easy to acquire.

My favourite Avenger has to be Iron Man, if only they had put in Captain America's red boots and his white feathers, I would have voted for him. However my favourite fig (Over both DC and Marvel) is definitely Deadpool, I'm so glad that LEGO decided to make him. (Btw, he'll look great with a brickforge utility belt )

I came here for Galactus (Not being a fan of Fantastic 4), but I must say, the vehicle and minifigs you used are great! But Galactus is definitely my favorite, he looks great! Very good job.

Hello, short comment. The shape is lovely, the colours great, the ship looks really nice, however the stern isn't so good (I also have problems making the stern ) I don't think the windows are the best choice. If you look on the tutorials here there is a great tutorial on how to build a Frigate, that's really helpful

Well, as much as I want the figure, I think there's no point trying, it'll be loads on the secondary market. And it's probably impossible to get in Britain. Luckily for me I'm chiefly interested in Marvel, so DC sets don't matter as much.

What does Lego mean by "Hard to find"?
______ replied to Oretreus's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I don't know, I've seen it in the past on some relatively easy to find sets. Such as this set -
Here's my latest, Maccus searching for Davy Jone's chest!

That's a lovely ship so far, do I spy a white hull?

General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread
______ replied to Oswald the Rabbit's topic in LEGO Pirates
Well, that doesn't bode well for an official FD. It's a shame that TLC already had designed it, I'd love to see the design. -
This ship is shaping up extremely nice! I especially love how you did the tan details in-between the gun-ports (If that makes sense ) And the cabin is beautiful!
-
Thanks for that, I think I'll pre-order the Cap America set and Hulk's helicarrier breakout!
-
Another thing I'd love is an X-Men sentinel! That would be gorgeous!

I have this lovely book which goes page by page throughout a whole Man of War ship, it's extremely useful for me. Except I usually build smaller ships, looking through this book a proper LEGO Man Of War (or frigate) would have to have a brick-built hull, being so wide. I would seriously suggest this book to anyone building a frigate.
