Honestly, I'd probably have more issue with the flick missiles if they were obtrusive. I think the only set in which they would fall under that category was BA Stormer, and even then, I don't think they were terribly handled. I'm just grateful we had one year without Thornax launchers being present in sets (although I guess Jet Rocka kinda ruined that), and that they took the opportunity to try new things, like flick missiles and functions. Even if some of them weren't handled properly, I'm glad they tried. HOWEVER... I will agree that the entirety of BA could be described as gimmicky. It seems as if every set was trying to scrape up a different gimmick to make up for the lack of a projectile weapon. I personally start cracking up whenever I see a promotional blurb about Aquagon with his swords combining being advertised as a function, considering how laughably bad it looks IRL.

Grogall is typically known for getting the HD, finalized images of upcoming sets. Prelims and initial discoveries aren't really his specialty, though it's not unheard of. :P
-
Last year I initially found them on this website and then uploaded them to my Majhost gallery afterwards. I've been searching every day across the web to no avail. The only sites which have yielded pictures for other themes so far have been Kmart and Brixit.

I'll assume that these prelims aren't online for everyone to see? :P

...Huh. Interesting, to say the least. Not really sure what to make of that. Considering I have no clue as to how these pictures are structured (packaging, blown up "poster" images, or some mix of the two), this may be a difficult question to answer, but how common would you say these are? I'd rather they not oversaturate the sets and inflate the piece count with these... things. At least, not unless they're really cool looking. Thanks very much for the continuous stream of new information! At this rate, we'll know pretty much everything there is to know before pictures even come out.

These, perhaps?

Hmm... so I have but one question which I'd be very grateful if you could answer. What are the villains' colors? One of them is red and black, as you say, but what of the other two? And is the shade of red on the Balrog-esque villain normal or dark red? Thanks very much.

Go on, Lego. Take my money. You know you want to. Thanks very much for the update. These sets are sounding better and better.

Huh. This is very interesting to me. Honestly, the idea of HF minifigures sounds pretty appealing. Any doubts I had went away when I saw that the "machines" will be constructed out of HF parts rather than system. I say bring it on. I always appreciate variety and innovation in themes, and the fact that HF is trying this speaks to the theme's desire to try new things. Looking forward to it. (also invasion from below is a great title)

Alright. Thanks again for the news. And so the wait for viewable pictures continues on...

Where did you see these pictures? The retailer catalog, or some website that we can view? :P Thanks very much for the news.

Yeah... I'll agree with you there. The heroes they're excluding from this wave are some of my personal favorites. It's frustrating when, for three waves, your favorite hero (Stringer) gets shafted in favor of repeats of Rocka and characters that have already been spotlighted enough. Oh well. I'll still enjoy the sets regardless (unless they're freakish abominations and a disgrace to the theme). And, as you say, worst case scenario there are still plenty of new pieces. :P
-
I've got a feeling this wave is going to be very different to stuff we've seen before and I'm going to be displeased. That being said, I fully support taking risks and trying new things. These prices are quite different; very curious to see just what kind of sets these actually are.

Clearly.

Ah... alright. I normally watch online (I have no cable), and when I saw that no episode was uploaded I decided to ask. I suppose it's good that the releases will finally be synchronized properly. :P
-
So was there no episode yesterday or what?
-
Well... the original Superheroes wave featured three DC sets, whereas wave 2 was based on Marvel. However, each wave consisted of only three sets rather than a fully-fledged wave consisting of six sets. Also, the initial catalog leaks had all six sets on display. So it depends on your perspective. :P

The only possibility for constraction figures next year is the "Legend Beast" sets that we're supposedly getting. However, signs are pointing towards those being brick-built animals with minifigures included rather than constraction sets. Shame, really. The Chima figures were excellent. I suppose we won't know for certain until pictures are released, though, so I can continue to hope. speaking of pictures i really want them like badly

We need the info, man I'm practically dying here ;_;

As much as I always enjoyed the canisters, I buy the sets for the sets themselves, not the packaging they come with. The change to bags allowed for better sets. Therefore, I like the change. Simple as that. :P

Here's the list in question (went and tracked it down). Interesting that both "Core Drainer" and "Hunter" are on that list. Ironically enough, there's another "Walker" listed there - the Tri Walker. I would probably share the suspicion that this list was false to a degree IF All About Bricks wasn't so reliable. To my knowledge, they've never been wrong about something they claim.

Sets are quite intriguing. Minifigures are the standout for me, though. Bring on the rest! Also, out of all the places for sets to leak I never expected Kmart. Didn't earlier this year with Hero Factory, and I certainly didn't now.
-
C'mon Kmart, do us a solid. Leak some more. My interest is the highest it's been since Savage Planet. I want to know what the heck this wave is.
-
I hate to say it, but from what I've heard, Castle won't be returning in 2014. I think it was a one-wave return, unfortunately.
-
LOL, I had completely forgotten about Fire Lord = Evil Stringer. Good times, good times. In all seriousness though, I'd actually love a wave where some old villains returned.
