I'm going to say something that'll really shake things up but I think Lego should drop the starwars license soon as it's not that relevant anymore. Then again they've targeted a whole new market of starwars geeks with this theme. Still the prices aren't justifiable. That's just my two schillings.

The imperial flagship I think was just plain better. It was more detailed, less bulky and spiffy too. It also had a mechanism to turn the rudder, which was cool. I thought that was pretty cool. Dont get me wrong the Clipper is great too, and it was amazing for it's time.

So I guess I should start thinking about christmas shopping. I told my mom I wanted to wait for the 08 line but I'm wondering should I get my hopes up? Is it likely us canadians get the new sets in before christmas?

As I recall I tried making an alternate model out of this set, a post-apoc bulldozer. You were more sucessful than I was. ;-)

well you know there've been studies that reveal people of different ages have different facial features, maybe there ought to be some sort of screening that makes sure you're the age you say you are. Like lego could issue the official lego age seperator. It would look something like this. except, try to imagine it with a bunch of wires coming out of it and anntenae. Yeah, that sounds pretty cool. Oh and blinking lights with a robotic voice that says "does not compute" once in a while. Anyway, you would hook this up to your computer and it would have a little camera that would take your picture whenever you tried to sign up a new account on Lego Universe. Then a crack team of guys would make sure you didnt look like this Then they would put you into the appropriate age group. Money?...... Whats that? 8-|

yeah, but it's a good thing you caught the seminar on sarcasm or else you would be totally out to lunch. :-D ;-) I think noobs can be very destructive if not properly dealt with myself. The idea of a game like, LU is to have fun and noobs can obviously ruin the fun by following you around, mockz0rsing you, etcetera and they should be treated with prejudice. However I also think by pwning them you get a rush that just cant be beat. It's a delicate equalibrium.

I dont think he was directing that first comment at you, just explaining how noobs are generally dealt with.

what.... X-O ................ X-O X-O Whaaat!? This is the last thing I'd expect anyone to complain about. The trucks were the nicest sets this year IMO. They were very detailed and realistic and by making them bigger lego added more detail, which did indeed make them nicer. I would take anyone of the 07 trucks over this fourwide truck any day. I do have to agree that the 08 truck is crap though. My personal opinion is that sets have become overpriced ( and come to mind.) because of big parts and overall scales of sets. I hope lego ends with this nonsense soon and prices sets according to piece count. >:-(

|-/ hmmm........ while I do think starwars is looking pretty bad, I would say set design is quite good overall this year, and one bad line of Starwars sets -- you should be happy they're still being made since the movies are done with -- shouldnt turn you off lego completely. I think there are some pretty outstanding sets in the starwars 08 wave, anakin's starfighter (despite the new face) and the droid battlepack come to mind. Please, just spare me the theatrics.
