Are you planning to produce a first batch of sbrick and to implement soon some new features also from the hardware point of view or just to refine the software management? From the video review it's clear that the lower PF connection is one plate outside the original IR receiver shape: is there any technical reason for this odd solution? Last question: did you think about a high degree of integration of sensor management for the use with train and rails?

I found your project very interesting. But I've some concern about the performance in a big Diorama. For my LUG I'm a Project Manager for our City Diorama. The last Diorama had a dimension of about 75 sqm, with 7-8 trains running at the same time. The 9V tracks are very expensive now and the PF system isn't the best system for a big diorama (IR is terrible for long distance, but it's perfect for a toy, we don't forget LEGO is a toy for children). According to you, is this brick a good solution for a diorama with the same dimension? One questions: for a perfect train layout, and a beautiful train automation system, the most important items are the sensors, because with these you can control all the trains, with start, stop, ecc ecc... What we can do with sbrick for this?

During the event in Ballabio (Italy) held the 7th and 8th of July 2012, ItLUG (Italian LEGO Users Group) sets the new World Record for the longest monorail track with an overall length of 362.5 m. The track was composed only by official LEGO monorail parts, brought to the event by many AFOLs from Italy and Netherland. This is the list of the parts used during the attempt, with reference length for each type. We deem that the best way to fix an objective rule in determining the track length is to consider the part list and relevant reference length, so: - 325 x Monorail Track Straight Long (255 mm) - 303 x Monorail Track Straight Short (255/4 = 63.75 mm) - 470 x Monorail Track Curve Long (360 mm) - 49 x Monorail Track Curve Short Left & Right (180 mm) - 55 x Monorail Track Point Left & Right (180 mm on the curved way) - 104 x Monorail Track Ramp Lower Part (260 mm) - 105 x Monorail Track Ramp Upper Part (260 mm) - 142 x Monorail Track Monoswitch (255/2 = 127.5 mm) To read more and for the official video, go to the our website: http://itlug.org/2012/09/new-world-record-lego-monorail/

30 may to 3 june Dear everyone! after the great success of the firs edition, ItLUG is organizing again this event in an amazing location close to Venice! The Cavallino-Treporti Tourism Park ( http://www.cavallino.info/en/index.aspx ) will host a 5 days exhibition open to the public (2 days for the schools only), at the beginning of the summer season: the second edition of "BRICK ON THE BEACH". Considering the period and the location, both ItLUG and the Cavallino Park are glad to invite international exhibitors and AFOLs to show their best creations: that's why there will be free accommodation for them since the 28th of may, as well as discounted prices for their guests. Not only: if we reach a minimum number of participants, there will be a fantastic trip to Venice and outskirts on wednesday the 30th of may! Good enough? Well, maybe you want to know that the exhibition opens in the mid afternoon, so in the morning you'll be free to enjoy the beach and the sea of the park? OK, you can find all the details and the registration form here (in italian and english languages): http://www.brickonthebeach.org We hope that especially the AFOLs from the neighbor Germany, Austria, Slovenia may have some interest in participating again like last year, but feel free to share this invitation to all your LUG members. See you there!!!
