  1. I don't think they're connected. They're just proximal to each other.
  2. I can make out the "ENgyne" and "Northern" brands on the bodywork. Great to see the DBG panels from the Mack and hook loader making a return as well.
  3. Not very, I'd wager. We're approaching the final release date now, unless TLG in all their collective wisdom decide to delay it. Or choose not to release it altogether.
  4. They have changed that up from the 6x6 version that used the 42043 badge. Shame they also sliced off an axle, but hey.
  5. 8289 might be a good set to check out as well.
  6. The cab does seem unfinished. Too many exposed pinholes and sharp edges that need rounding off.
  7. I don't think the proportions are that off, tbh. When compared to this real-world version, the set looks pretty accurate. I did think that the wheels looked a bit small at first but they're not that far off.
  8. As an aside, I wonder which direction the tread on the part image for the new tyre will face. We've had the tread run backwards and forwards, respectively - sideways next?
  9. Might just be the render, but the chevron tyres look a bit rounder than the other types. Cool look for a backhoe.
  10. Magnifique, mon ami! Excellent rendition of a classic excavator. Funnily enough, a couple of official sets were modelled on Poclain machines as well:
  11. Yellow was the first colour to show differences, in 2002 I believe.
  12. So. To sum up, we've gone from this: to this: Is it just me, or did the 6x6 version look better? On the plus side though, it's one less axle for the drivetrain to handle, so the 4x4 arrangement might work out better.
  13. My nearest shop in Milton Keynes always had a ton of spare PF kit, so it's likely leftover stock.
  14. Ah yes, the legendary grader! Looking forward to that.
  15. Side-by-side, there admittedly isn't much resemblance. The builder only had certain parts available, though, and considering how off-model the actual set is, it's arguably forgivable. I'd actually be intrigued to see whether or not you or Eric could build a more recognizable version of the R70D from 42114.
  16. That's actually been done: Great job, Eric! Yours is cool as well.
  17. He already stated that the tyres are smaller than the Xerion tyres (18 treads rather than 20). Seeing as the Jeep tyres are the same size as the corresponding balloon version, I see no reason why that wouldn't be the case with these versions as well.
