  1. Right now I'd say it's the CAT that looks somewhat doubtful, especially given that 42128 here has pride of place in the Technic catalogue pages.
  2. There's not much info about Luke Cragin out there but I did see his name attached to a couple of articles concerning robotics.
  3. So if this were to have supplementary motorization capabilities, prepare to pay through the nose...
  4. There's no supplementary set for that, so that's doubtful as well.
  5. Even if it ain't on my must-buy list, this is one cool truck.
  6. The Motorized Functions logo would be present if that were so.
  7. I think one of the black gears on the side lifts the axle.
  8. I think this topic needs to remain inactive until further info is available. It's turning into a speculative wish-fest.
  9. They look like softer shocks. There's a gear as well, though I don't see how it relates to the drive. Big 13 on the side - not great for the superstitious among us. New brand too (or at least one I haven't seen hitherto) - "InTake".
  10. I preferred the preliminary sticker art. Just sayin'.
  11. I saw that horrific one-bloody-stud clearance earlier, forgot about it, and it's been brought back kicking and screaming to my attention. Thanks Jundis, you're a peach! Then what the everloving shit is this thing actually supposed to be? TLG, thoughts?
  12. TLG are wise to us, people. Catalogue's offline.
  13. Nice job! Needs stickers from 42131 though.
  14. The dimensions aren't visible on the image. They look more or less the same size as the balloon tyre though.
  15. Tow truck branding looks completely different. To be honest, I preferred the preliminary detailing. Zetros is... well, it's there. No sign of the CAT.
  16. IT'S GOING TO BE A JCB! IT'S GOING TO BE A JCB! IT'S GOING TO BE A JCB! EDIT: It's unlikely to be a JCB.
  17. It's expensive next to the tow truck, which has a great deal more parts and pneumatics for the same price. It would have to be something special.
  18. Why is 42126 so expensive? Must have one hell of a licence slapped on it.
  19. 8862 is based on a Caterpillar 426 - getting a look at the real thing might help you come up with solutions for the rest of the build. I think the front section might give you a bit of a challenge...
  20. I can see this part through the grill. Guess it's used as an engine fan.
  21. This is bloody awesome! Looks just like a JCB 531. Top marks, might build it in yellow.
  22. I'm thinking that the pneumatic hoses are connected to the valve inside the truck - remember where the attachment points are. And then those hoses go into the rams on the arm. The MLAs are probably controlled by gears that can't be seen from this angle, or are secreted under an opening panel. EDIT: There are two black gears on the side of the truck with indicator stickers above. They seem to relate to the tilt-rotator, I don't know how though.
