  1. Yeah, but the Defender kinda pales in comparison to TLG's biggest cock-up of recent years... namely, the Osprey. Here's hoping the CAT hasn't been pushed back to October for the same reasons as the Liebherr... though it is interesting that Technic has had four waves this year. Wonder if that's gonna be the trend going forward. If TLG keeps up with the bloopers, it just might be.
  2. Hard to argue with that. I've been looking closely at the image we've seen and even though it likely doesn't reflect the final set, I can pick out some of Markus's techniques. Some parts are reminiscent of 42028, which he also designed.
  3. No, neither of those match up. It looks like a saw blade crossed with a round 2x2 plate - the underside of the plate faces outward.
  4. No, I mean the black element used on the outside of the wheel.
  5. Has anyone been able to identify the element on the front wheel hub? I'm talking about the Zetros, by the way.
  6. Pass the pepper. Black actuators sound great as well, kinda like the black pumps in 8455.
  7. So if the ladder were motorized, it would swing out and downward. Cool.
  8. I personally wouldn't copy anything the dumb kids in this image are doing, considering they're running the tyres backwards and couldn't even be arsed to attach the chain to the bull bar properly. And don't even get me started on the positioning of that bear...
  9. It was still described as "Spinnen-Kran" and "Grua aranha" on the box, among other names. Guess arachnophobia isn't a thing in Germany.
  10. That axiom isn't totally solid, considering that 42079's B is better than 9395's A. In fact, 42079's B might actually be better than 42079's A.
  11. I thought they were more material handlers than bin lorries, especially 8868.
  12. It's a bit tragic considering what's been done in the past with 8466, for instance. This set would be ideal for that sort of setup.
  13. I think the age-old adage of "check your work before handing it in" applies quite strongly here.
  14. Now this looks like a premium "18+" product.
  15. I think orange is the right colour. Shame it couldn't be metallic orange, but them's the breaks.
  16. 42029's B is the largest and most fully-featured forest skidder in the Technic theme, so no. Furthermore, I personally like 42070's B-model.
  17. Minus the two functions mentioned previously, and a B-model.
  18. Just one of TWO American sets coming this October! Yee-haw, Mabel.
  19. Ford Raptor F150. Time to rename the topic. Thanks @mpj.
