It's early yet. Last year we didn't get them until it was actually summer.

Wonder if the EC230 is gonna come with an external power recharge unit? Maybe not something on the magnitude of the one presented here, but possibly a generator of some kind. It could be carried by the truck.

8353 Slammer Rhino has a Technic function that adjusts the ride height, involving a shock absorber. Meanwhile, 8472 has the pretty cool directional control system that's governed by a linkage depending on which bumper hits something. The B-model is also reminiscent of the 4WD X-Track set, with gears that can be rearranged to customize its performance. Oh, and the Power Crusher and Slammer Raptor sets have the rubber band-driven ejection feature, though whether or not those are Technic is pretty much up to you.

Very cool, and very detailed! That is an observation that did not come easy, however. Your images are way too small; rather than directly uploading, you might want to try hosting on Flickr and linking them. -

True. But I'd think it'd make more sense to show off both vehicles fully up front, then a rear shot of the truck would display the whole "transporter" thing better. But who knows at this point.

If the Volvo FMX in 42175 is a flatbed truck, then I reckon the front of the box is gonna show it and the EC230 separately, with the excavator loaded onto the truck on the back of the box.

Moreover, there have been some rather reasonably priced sets recently. Take 42178 for example - around the same amount of parts as 42049 eight years before it, and it's the same price. The upcoming Volvo set has a pretty agreeable price tag as well.
