  1. Tch, this thing hasn't even been released yet and already it has an improvement topic. We're never satisfied. Seriously though, nice job with the outrigger.
  2. That engine looks like a bad idea for a cupholder...
  3. Woah, this topic comes up a lot now. I suppose you could also draw parallels with Farming Simulator and the ingame Lizard-branded vehicles - in FS2013, there's the Lizard Wheel Loader that is essentially a rebranded Liebherr L566 with the brand name replaced by Lizard (funnily enough actual Liebherr vehicles appeared in the next game). Plus, and yes, I am bringing 8283 up again, but TLG were clever with it - they used a mid-2000s Manitou design for the vehicle itself, but the colour scheme (red mudguards, white hubs) is from the earlier '90s models.
  4. It's got some differences. The tracks are triangular, it uses twin linear jacks as opposed to four spread out and, well, it can't help being yellow. I like that both models fold up for transport. Quite cool.
  5. What the heck is Tim Allen doing handing them out? He holds all the answers...
  6. Mm-hm. "4WD" probably sounds better than "2WD But Still With 4W". Anyway, back to 2019! The description for 42097 mentions "cool stickers". How cool are they?
  7. 42053 is a material handler as well. Didn't stop TLG from referring to it as an excavator, though...
  8. Compact Crawler Crane (triple alliteration score! Woo!) sounds excellent. Since it folds up, storing it should be a breeze.
  9. Guess this is why TLG issued a revised version. Hey @Costas, make sure you get that one.
  10. I've edited the link out if it was violating guidelines. Hey, it's more than I've seen from any other source so far...
  11. Looked everywhere and can't find anything. Any pointers?
  12. Found something on Youtube. Pics are blurry, but... The Car Transporter comes with one car. The Spider Crane's gear racks are grey. The 4x4 looks seriously boring. And the Liebherr is still the Liebherr. EDIT: Whoops, that video was posted in January! Dunno how I missed that.
  13. Please be the spider crane, please be the spider crane!
  14. Very odd choice of vehicle for an 8-wheel chassis. The turning circle on that thing would be massive.
  15. In addition to @Jim's suggestions, I'd check these out as well: Mindstorms Exploration Mars 8446 Crane Truck (you gotta have a grapple claw somewhere) Discovery Channel Rover Can't wait to check out some amazing builds!
  16. Well, hey, the writers already gave the show that treatment.
  17. Sounds about right, otherwise it would hit the operator.
  18. Thanks for shining a beam on that matter, Barty. I'll, er, show myself out. But not before talking about 42097 some more! So it continues the semi-trend of cranes having tower-based B-models, following in the footsteps of 8288, 8270 and 42042. Will it be a whole alternate build, or the ol' rearrange-the-boom routine?
  19. I'm wondering if there will be a supplemental set like 8293 for installing these components in certain models.
