5150 Lego

You know its funny. I remember when the first two batman movies (Batman and Batman returns) were released, they were critized by critics and fans alike for being to "dark" and not having the same feel as the orignal Batman tellavision series did back in the 60's. I even remember my unkle making simular coments when we came out of the theater after watching Batman returns. We then get Batman and Robin and Batman forever. These two films give a very simular feel and look of the orginal series and comic book, but are looked down as being the worst of the batman movies again by critics and fans alike. Just goes to show you that following the look of a series that was on 20 to 30 years prior doesn't mean it will work in present day cinema's or that its what the majority of people want to see.

Please do! I think this was a great idea. That little crane was my very first lego set thaty i remeber getting! Brings back alot of memories! I have to agree. I really don't think there is any differnce in the yellow other than its showing its age after 20 yrs witch is to be expected.

So i've been checking out the TF2 blog fromtime totime tocheck status on the new movie, with pics and stuff. So far i'm not to impressed with the alt forms i've been seeing. Bumble Bee is the same 09 Camaro that he was in the first movie just with a new front end, hood and wheels. Whitch is fine. Kind of disapointed that prime is still the same rig he was in the first movie. Was hoping that he would change his alt mode. TGhere's alos these two little sub compact things that are were spotted with outbot symbols on them. Looked really lame in the pics they showed. I know these are early pics, and we don't know the full story yet, but i was hoping for a bit more diversity. The rumoured SR-71 Blackbird is cool though. The Audi R8 that was spotted on set could have some potentail as well.

I looked back at where Hinki suposoflly cut off webber in qualifing, and to be honest,i just don't see it. The call was defenatly harsh, as there were planty of other drivers that were in the same line as Hinki. As you said, Webber still madei t to Q3 so there shouldn't have been any problems. i also felt the stop and go penalty on lewis was also a bit questionable. Ya, he jumped part of the course, but he made no advancment in placment, and didn't affect anyones else's line. And what was with the exhaust coming off of Kimi's ferrari? While i'm happy to see that it didn't fly off and hit anyone, you can bet your megablocks if that was a McLaren car (even one of the ouncers said it themselfs) you could have bet they would have been forced in the pits to have it removed. Seems to be some favoratisim going on. Not cool. Congrats to Felipe for his win. Even happier to see Kovi take 4th place. Glad to see him getting up in the ranks. I figured that Lewis wouldn't do that well this race, but he did prove that he can move up spots, even when stuck in the middle, and back of the field. Don't giveup my man! Your still in it! It was defenatly great to see Nelson Piquet place in front of his team mate Alonso. Goesto show you what someone can really do when there job is in jepordy! I heard this alot from many people. Channels that are covering the race show favoratisim to drivers from there country. The UK is espeaially found of Lewis Hamiltion but the worst iv'e heard is spain towards Fernando Alonso. Speed channel (North american coverage of F1)really doesn't have any favortisim torwards any driver. To bad some countries are baised. While i can defenatly understand giving support to your fellow countryman, it doesn't give you a fair perspective of the other drivers if you base your whole show on one or two drivers. (this is one of the very few reasons i could see anyone supporting cry baby Fernado Alonso) Next race will be a fresh start. No one will start with any penalties, everyone will have a fair shot at the podiem. Should be good!

Grand Prix of france is coming up. Should be interesting.

Your stories are great, but can i make a sugjestion? It seems that your just taking multiple pics of the same scene. In this instance all of the mini figs are in the same spot even as the story progress. It would be better if you posed themdiffernt for every scene. Just a friendly sugjestion.

Wow! Fantasic base! great detail, and the story to go with it awsome! One querstion regarding the base, i'm guessing you painted the bridge peices, or were they from another set (Mars mission maybe?)

Impressive.......(In vader voice) Lots ofdetail crammedinot such a small space. Looks like they have taken care of nearly every popular scene taken place on the death star. Most impressive..(in vader voice!) Doesanyone know if the little tie fighter will be able to hold a mini fig? Sorryifthat question has been asked before already. Though i have to say i really don't understand TLG asking to takedown the pics when they are avaible to be scene in so many other sites. It seems that eurobricks is either the only site they ask to remove pics from, or the only ones that listen/comply with the request.

Thank you. This was preety much what i was going to say, but you beat me to the punch. While i can understand being a fan and expecting the movies to perform to a certain degree, movies like the new Indie film are meant to entertain and are not going to win any acadamey awards for there story line. I'll admit it probbly was the weakest of the Indie line, i still enjoyed it. But thats one of the problems that producers have to face when another movie in a triogy that has such a large fan following. Espeacailly doing one 20 years after the last one made. Times change, as do what people expect out of a movie. i don't feel Harrison Ford brought the same level action he did in the first two movies. Its evedent that his age is a factor in this. I even like how they made a referance to that in the movie when he went to swing on his whip to the truck. "Damm, i thought that was closer!" I understand that when your a big fan of somthing its hard not to have high expectations. I think this is mainly because many have set in their mind what they want to see in the movie, and when it differs from there vision, it seems like a bit of a let down. All in all, although i did enjoy the movie as a whole, i kinda felt that the kingdom of the crystal skull wasn't really gonna give the same feel the first 3 movies did.

As much as i want to disagree with you, considering Hamiltions past when he has started in the middle of the grid, you might be right. I really hope he learns from this. He's proven that he is more than a talented driver, so if he can just keep his cool and understand that he doesn't nessasarly need to jump out in first on the first lap. This might be a hick up for Mclaren, but they by no means are out of the running.... ..... Renault on the other hand, are still no better (actually worse) than they were. This was a prime opertunity for Alonso to gain some spots and get some real point for both the drivers, and constructors championship. But as ussual, he is impatient, and causes his own spinout ending his race. Nelson did a bite better but i wouldn't exactly call going from 18th to 17th a a real improvment. This really shows how much a change in points a DNF in a race can really affect things. Its really anyones season right now. Go Mclaren!!

Best "deal i ever got was free lego from the lego store!! I went near closing time wanting to stop off and see if they had some certain parts i was looking for in the Pick-a-brick section. Didn't have them, but had a couple in an impulse set, so i picked them up. While i was about to make my purchase, the cashiermade a coment. "Wow, that has to be the smallest amount i've seen you buy here!" (I was kinda of a regular there before they closed) I told here i just needed a couple of peices from the sets. She then led me to the back of the store, were she had some sets already built that they had took down getting ready to put up new batman sets. She said since they were already built, they couldn't be sold, so she offered them to me for free! I ended up with an XXL mobile crane, A belvile house, a couple of exo-force sets, and a few other misalanous things (Can't remeber of the top of my head) Not bad!

Agreed. First when people sugjest a line simular to this one, people say it will never happen cause they still believe lego has a so called "No violence policy". Then we see pics, and everyone complains how they don't like the lineandits to violent. Then the line acctually comes out andeveryone praises the line for the fantastic colors and designs. Now we don't get a gun, and some people have a fit. Sure is interesting to see the "evolution" of the opinions on the boards from priminary pics, to reviewed sets. Agents on!!!!

Isn't that whats great about parts like the bridge pieces? When we first saw the bridge pieces in 7900, no one thought they would be any goodfor anything but bridges. Really glad to see TLC coming up with great uses for these peices. Over all i think the design is great! i do wish the dock at the bottom was a bit bigger to dock the large CG ship, and the boat from 7726. I'm also posibbly need to make the heli pad bigger to acomadate the larger 7738 CG helicopter. Oh well. Still a good set!

Well, its still a strong possibity. I don't beleive that it will be nessasary harder per say to a real transformation of a flat nosed truck, but defenatly less impressive to see on screen. As far as size, you could easily get a fire engine the size, and lenth needed to prime a towering stance. So like you said, it still think its feasable. A different alt mode altogether would be defenatly be prefered. Although i have to say his H2 rescue truck was one of my favorites next to Barricades Saleen mustang police car. Man that sure would be a kick in the nuts now wouldn't it! Agreed. Never much a fan of Galvatron, but it does seem like a posibility. Wouldn't have a clue what his alt would be though. Hopfully its an eath vehicle of some sort. Saw the police car. Prowl is a good guess. The Audi R8 sounds like a good one. I like what i'm hearing so far. Now we just need some pics! On a side note, TF-A toys have offically hit U.S. shores! Some better than others of course. Just spent $500 in power tools, so my spending money was plenished for this pay check!

Man,sad sad day for Lewis Hamiliton. Rear ends Kimi Rikononin the pits and takes himself and the Ferrariout of the race. Noone to blame but himself. What a dissapointment. 36 laps to go with Rubens Barachello leading. Even with his mistake, i'm still ruiting for Mclaren! Go Henki!! Hopfully Fellipi Massa can makeup some spots as well! But we may very well see a major upsetthis race!

Your probbly right about the autobots. Lets hope that there vehicle modes differ from the first movie. Maybe prime will be a fire truck this time around since thats an alt mode we've seen him in before. Same with Ratchet. A more heavy duty type rescue vehicle would be preffered. It would be great to see Jazz back as a porche with his white, blue and red paint scheme. Bumble is preety certain as well. I'm sure he'll still be an 09 camaro,but maybe with a body kit, rims and such. As for the Decepticons, its preety much garranteed that Star Scream will be back, will have a preety major role. Hopefully Barricade will be back as well. Sound wave is defenatly a go, and maybe megs will return as Gavlatron. I'm sure since filming has begun, we'll see some pics start to pop up.

I have to agree. I'm not sure if i can remeber another set designed with remotely as much details out of the box (System wise at least) that are as good as this one. Defenatly the best mobile command center by far. If the only real flaw is (If really can even call it that) is a minor gap, then i think lego did a bang up job. Thank you lego company for taking some inishitive (Sorry,i know i spelt that wrong ) to build somthing "out side the box" and not letting somthing like size or so called "violence policy" get in the way of designing such a beautiful set! Glad to see you went all out and didn't let anything get in your way. Thank you Lego, company... Thank you!

Very nice. Ihave to say it would look alot better with some 1x2 slopes to clean up some of the lines and give it a more sleaker look. I'm turning mine into a drag bettle!
