But he's right. And it was not a "general" coment. People die from less harmfull diesess every day. This is justa media hype.
-
Agreed. But to be honest, i think the fact that if Mclaren were suspended F1 would have lost tomany sponsors also had alot to do with the decision. Whitch i'm fine with. I think the ruling was very fair. The next few races are going to be very important. McLaren have been making progress every GP this year. Come'on McLaren, lets get a podiem next race!!
-
What??? Is that a renault???
-
Very true. Brawn has been developing there car for well over two years. It will be interesting to see how they fare when they have the same amount of build time as the other teamsfor next years season. Rumor is Ferrari has already started working on their's.

I'm still not convinced just yet that this kid is "the future of F1". While he managed to win the last GP, that was under poor circumstances. I aslo felt consideringthe car he had, he should have been able to find a hole toget by Trulli. even the comemtators meantioned he missed a few oppertunites for a good clean pass. But again,it is early in the season, so anything can happen. You can bet if that was a McLaren car that there would have been some kind of penalty. Agreed. Either way, he has showed improvment in every GP he has competed in this year, whitch is somthing no other driver in the field this year has done. Each GP he gets a better qualifing spot, and better overall finish. That as you guys have already meantioned, is the driving of a world champion. Well done Lewis! I just hope that McLaren aren't banned for two races as there making signifcant progress each race. I couldn't help but laugh at that! even the comentators meantioned. Who would have thought that Ferrari would be getting lapped by one of last years lack luster drivers in a brand new car. Whats next,.. Force India lapping him? Ha ha! Just kidding. Over all a good race.

The two toyota's are up front with Vettel 3rd. Good to see Hamiltion make P5. Every race this season he's made improvments in not only qualifing, but grid finish results. Hopfully he can continue that streak and finish in the top three. I think its very possible. I just hope that McLaren don't get a 2 race penalty like everyone says they wil be getting.

Ya, thats the footage that i saw too. Apparently the original footage was taken down after only 12 hours as it was only meant to be up for a short time. Somthing to hold off fans till the second trailer comes out this friday during Wolverine.

Am I the only one who looks longingly...
5150 Lego replied to Sir Norman Ray's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Yes i have glue pieces toeghter, and yes, i have regretted it. Mainly because once it glued, thats it. There's no going back. You might love your tank to death now, but later on you might want to"borrow" a peice for another temporary moc, might want to add something later. I've learned that there is always a way to add on, or change the design that might make it stronger, or more realistic. If you glue them in, you'll never know if that one new piece you got could have added streath, or that exrta detail/function you've been longing for. -
Ralph, I see the point your trying to make, and in short, there just really isn't anything you, me, or probbly even TLC can ultimatly do about it. When someone chooses to post pictures on the internet, it no longer becomes thier property. While a watermark can help proving that the pic is yours, its not going to prevent anyone from claiming that its there's, as there's no real way to prove that you were the one that orignally took the photo, short of a pic of you holding said model. So... At least from my perspective, there really is no answer to your question. Can you prevent plagarism from happening? No. Why do people do it? Many reasons. Though i can't think of one good one. The main reason i can think of is selfishness, and laziness. I'm sorry not just for Ralph S, but for anyone who has had ther pictures taken from them. I had this happen to me myself (though not lego related). Like i said, i don't know if you can prevent somehting like this from happening.

Sucks. The web site that is hosting the trailer is password prtected. After a bit of searching i was able to find the last 57 seconds of it. Looks great! This is going ot be a good one!

To be honest, i think the weather had alot to do with that. The first few cars didn't have the huge water spray that the middle and back of the field had to contend with. Thats not to say that Vettel and Webber didn't run great races, or that they don't have compeditve cars, but its obvious that the weather played a huge role in there overall dominance in this race. Hot headed? How? Are you reffering to his spins? Quite a few spun at some point in the race, including Button, Barrichello, Webber, Alonso. Not easy to keep your vehicle on track when you have massive water spray in your face. And besides that, the couple time when Hamiltion did spin he regained his positions rather quick. Thats not being hot headed, thats keeping your cool. As far as Kovelinen goes, i was glad to see him score some points and make it up in the field from what... like 16th? Preety good race for both him and Hamiltion. They seem to be doing a little better every race. Speaking of McLaren, anyone hear about the crap at McLaren with the Mechanics blowing off Hamiltion? Some insider says there pissed off at him cause they feel he got Dave Ryan booted. What a load of crap. This "insider" also says that Hamiltion never gives the Mechanics credit. Again, crap!! Like Hamiltion or not, one thing he has always been is very humble. He has always given his team credit for every win he has ever had. I can understand being upset at seeing Ryan leave (many have worked with him for 20+ yrs, vs. a couple with LH), but lets be fair. Dave Ryan was the boss(well, suppose of boss) of this whole situation. Hopefully the team will get back to being a team instead of pointing fingers. Just goes to show how much lighter he was compared to the rest of the field. Alonso was somthing like 135 pounds lighter than his team mate Sad really. I also really thought FI was going to finally score a couple points. Oh well. Maybe next week.

Yes, considering that this is an 09 set, and the previous sets were over ten years old, yes, i did expect more. This is the first time we had a 6 wide camper, so the potentail for a better interior is there. Just cause you liked the overall result, doesn't mean everyone else will, or should. Perhaps your the one that needs to go play with the barbie toys. Thank you for proving my point. You have given example of sets that are as much as 20 years older than the one in question. This camper really doesn't offer us anything new than we've already seen. And since you are bring it up..... 6351 is superior to the new camper in nearly every way. It acomplishes more in a 4 wide vehicle than TLC could in a 6 wide (7 with fenders). Again, just cause you like it, doesn't mean everyone else will. From what i've read, its not like anyone has just said "i just don't like it" People have given valid aurguments and reasons to why there not happy with the product.

Same could be said for Kovilinen (miss spelt his name i know ) for McLaren. He doesn't have the new diffuser that Hamiltion has, so that could be an indication of much of an improvment the new design is. Even though Alonso is up front on P2, i'm happy that its not the Brawn cars up front. To be honest, its getting boring seeing the same cars up front. Also, hopfully this will bring the Button and Barrichello down to earth a bit. They were getting a little to cocky for my taste. Although i would have liked to see Hamiltion in the top three, its good to seehim make Q3. He's making improvment, and thats whats important. This should be a good race. Its seems more of the cars are better balanced, so hopfully we'vee see some actual racing.

Wow. Very impressed. The detail of the interior and the way you have the door open is exellent. You never ceese to amaze withyour creations Lasse D. -
So this isn't going to be in theaters? Its going straight to DVD? Edit: It seems that the movie has already been released in selected cites since Febuary. Only about 20 or so though. It will be on DVD May 19th in the U.S.

I completly agree. now that i've seen some more detailed pics, i'm even less impressed with the overall design. From the outside it looks good, but open it up......... Ya. I'm not a fan of the way it opens to begin with, and the fact that all it has is a couple of chairs, pot and cup... Com'on Lego. I mean really??

I'm in western United States. I really like my job. Its somthing different every day. I could be working on a Ford Crown Vic or a Dodge Charger one day, or a Chevy Tahoe or Swatt truck another.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles -- SPOILER ALERT !
5150 Lego replied to SWMAN's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I have to say i'm getting more and more impessed the more i see of the new movie. Action looks top notch, and the story line looks good. I'm begining to think that this justmight be a good movie dispite the absence of "The Governator". By the looks of the previews, it looks like were in for a few surprises. Very cool! -
I'd have to disagree. I don't feel that banning McLaren for a number of races, or the rest of the season is in anyway fair punishment. They were caught lieing, and the were disqualified from Melborne. Its done, let it be! Cause if McLaren leaves, like them or not, so does 20% of the fan base. Same could be said if Ferrari or even renault were in the same situation. I truely hope that they don't get banned. Or maybe they should, and they can get a years head start on their car for 2010. Heck, it took Brawn 3 years to get his cars to were they are now. I posted this a few posts up, but nobody responded. There's no doubt in my mind that Hamiltion is a better driver than Barrichello. I would garrantee that if he was behind the wheel he could knock off close to a second a lap of Barrichello's best effort. I even feel he could give Button a good run, if not beat him. A Hamiltion/Brawn combo would be unstopable at this point in the season. ..However. Rubens does have alot more experiance in car setup. And as we all know, that is the key factor. Does Hamiltion have enough experiance in car setup to make it worth Ross Brawn to buy out Ruben's contract and bring in Hamiltion? aAs i said, LH is a far better driver than RB, so it might be worth it. Though i have to say i don't think any of that will happen if McLaren stays in the game. If thier banned, then maybe, but there's quite a bit of politics that would need to be overcome for somthing like this to happen.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles -- SPOILER ALERT !
5150 Lego replied to SWMAN's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I stopped watching about 4 weeks ago. The series just got lame. NO action. Completely oppisite of what terminator should be. Its a story of time traveling robots that nuke the world. Not a doctor Phil sesion. Good riddance. -
And the playing field will be equal. Then we we really see if Button and Barrichello are as good of drivers as people seem to think they are.
-
Hmm.... I doubt it will happen, but it could be possible that Barrichello could be the one to loose out if McLaren does in fact get banned. http://planetf1.com/story/0,18954,3213_5182869,00.html Man, how that would shake things up. But again, i doubt it would happen.

I can't be 100% certain, but it looks like the trailer in the wind turbine transport extends. Anyone else catch this?
