5150 Lego

So something has been bothering me lately, and that is the inconsistency of the moderating on this site. As of late, I've seen a few threads being closed, and it didn't have anything to do with them being against site rules and guidelines. It was cause they weren't interested in said discussion. (the most recent being the locking of the "What kind of cell phone do you have?" thread) Not cool. There are plenty of topics that I'm sure many find "silly", or doesn't interest us, but were not forced to open said topics. This is not meant to start any trouble, but i think we should be able to voice our thoughts if we see a problem.

Very cool. I used run SCCA as well and drag sportsman series. Aslo ran a a couple NOPI events. Had a VW GTI with a Turbo upgrade than ran high to mid 12'sin the quater mile. I also used to race my friends 5.0 mustang. Ran 10's. Starting to get into Drifting now.

You are correct that it is a combination of car and driver. That's goes with any form of racing. But Given Button's 9 year track record, i'd say its defenatly more car than driver. Its more than clear that the Brawn cars have a significantly higher advantage than any other cars out there. In the past he has never really stood out against the crowd. Heck,even by your own admittance (well i saw it myself) he admitted they built him one "monster" of a car. So its clear that given his track record it has more to do with the car than him as a driver.

Meh. Its all the car. I'm telling you. Put Hamiltion, Massa, Alonso, or nearly half of the grid in the same car, and they would knock close to a second off his best time. I will admit, that Brawn has the game toeghter better than any team this yr. And their doing it clean. Ross Brawn is Brilliant.

So is Transformers, Halo, movies, foods, other hobbies, and pretty much everything else that is discussed in the "Community" forum. If you don't like the topic at hand, then just movie on dude. All he's doing is asking for a little advice. No harm, no foul. To sai, If you really care about her that much,I'd be upfront with her. In my 27yrs I've found that girls appreciate a guy that will be upfront and "has balls" so to speak. You don't need to pour your heart out or anything, but just letting her know that you like her will go a long way. Even if she rejects you at least you'll know. Nothing worse than letting her move away without knowing what could have been.

Alonso sucks!!!! Your just blind with love KimT!! But really, i could see, and wouldn't mind seeing Alonso on the podium either. In all honesty, i don't look forward to F1 races any more. Its the same thing over and over. Brawn GP. Its getting old. Not interesting. I agree that both McLaren and Ferrari put off there 09' cars and concentrated on the remaining 08 ' championship. while there competitors concentrated on building their 09' cars. (lets also not forget, that Ross Brawn had but close to 3 yrs of development on their chassis)

I Dunno. I still think Family guy is better. American dad and the Simpson's have clearly gone down the tubes in the last year or so. But as far as animated "adult"cartoons go,i still think Family guy rules supreme, with South Park coming in at a close second.

Wouldn't mind seeing Webber up on the Podium this race. I'm just not convinced that Vettel is this "Golden boy"that everyone seems to think he is. As for Hamilton, what can he do? Its very clear that he's fighting the car every step of the way. Even the commentators have pointed out how twitchy it compared to other cars. Like i said, at least he's gained positions in every race he's had this year. So i think that says something about his driving, as well as his passion to win. Com'on McLaren and Ferrari. Show the old fart, has-been, and brat that your still a force to be reconed with!

Can't believe I'm saying this,... but it looks like I'm going to be cheering for Ferrari this weekend. Hopefully they can bump the old farts and the kid off the podiem. It will be interesting to se if he can keep his pace without the rain on his side. Still haven't lost hope for MCLaren. Hamilton has improved his position in every race, so there still hope. So its up to big red. Lets get back in the game guys!

5150= American police code for insanity, or an unstable individual. When i used to race cars, i was known for never backing down in high speed corners, and generally just going balls out. My friends gave me the nickname 5150. Since then every screen name I've had has had 5150 in it in some form or another. As for Lego... Ya, i think that's obvious. :)

ROTF toys are officaly out for purchase today. Wall mart and TRU were supposed to have 5:00pm realse times, but that time was pushed to 9am this morning. Happy hunting!

I'm really impressed with the fire engine,and transport truck. Looks like it will work perfect with Cool Cars and the similar green creator car we got lost year. After i take care of some finances, and repay my debt to a fellow EB member i think these will be the first sets I'll be picking up for 09'. (Along with the Techinc Crane Truck of course!)

When I first saw previews for Star Trek, i was skeptical considering the absence of the original cast. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that a new cast can carry on an epic story without hurting it. I have hopes that this can be the case with Terminator Salvation. Not having Arnold might have killed it before it even was started. I'm going to go into this with an open mind, as well as no expectations. One thing i truly hope is that it doesn't get all sappy and philosophical like the series ended up. I hope the focus will truly be the war and machines. There really going to have to come through with a good story and action.

Excuse me if this is a stupid question, but what exactly do they mean by it being a "Two Tier Championship"? That only half of the grid will be able to fit for the championship while the other half lingers? As much as Max think they can survive without Ferrari,....... They can't. Ferrari is the backbone of F1 and was one of the key runners in getting it started. Way to much fan base. F1 would not be the same without them.

I think you read legomilk's post wrong. English is not his first language and i believe he was trying to say that Star Wars has another 2 yrs left. Not that it will be gone by next year. Greeks??? Lame! I Truly hope that TLC doesn't waste their time with this. Since when? Never seen them make any decisions based on the opinions of this (or any other than their own) forum.

I think it would be a great idea! You could even playas the Enterprise and blow up Romulan warbirds and Klingon Battle ships! What would be better would be if Lego had a Star Trek theme!

Politics clouding up an F1 race??? Never!

First off, I'd like to say that i am a born Again Christan and am very proud of it. I have no problem talking about my religion to others, or those that would like to learn/know more about it. I also respect other religions. I will never knock someone for there choice of religion regardless if its not the same as mine. That being said,i have to agree with most about starting religious topics on sites like these. I've been a member of many different type of forums over the years. (mainly automotive) and the 3 things that I've found that really gets people going and starts problems are discussions about 1.- Religion 2.- Politics 3.- Firearms (guns) None in any particular order. I have no quarrels with keeping this one open, as well as others of different religious backgrounds starting there own threads. Cause if i don't like what i read, i can just not click on the topic.... But unfortunately, many for whatever reason, can not do that and always have to put in there two cents. Many times just cause they want to get a reaction from someone. And its not like were talking about a movie, or your favorite comic book hero. Religion is something that someone generally is very set on,and will not sway away from no matter how many "Facts" you try and throw at them to convince them other wise. So if we can keep things cival, then i welcome this thread. ..But unfortunelty, the interent has proven that topics like these in public forums are rarely kept so.

Sounds a lot like the Transformers forum before the first movie came out, the G.I. Joe forums currently, and probably how most forums based on a certain series/toy/comic book hero reacts when a movie based on one of these genera's reacts before actually seeing the movie their criticizing. Even Trek fans highly criticized the new Star Trek film for well over a year. Funny thing is once they actually see the movie, most do a 180 and like it. I think this is the result of being a hard core fan or "Fan Boy". When you grow up with something and follow every different carnation of its evolving since you were 6yrs old, you have a certain mind set of what you expect from a movie. Now this isn't necessarily a bad thing. Knowing that people have certain expectation are good. This helps prevent movie makers making complete crap just for the sake of doing it. (although this doesn't always work ...ahem... Doom! ) But for many, there expectations are either to high, or they basically want to see a carbon copy of what they grew up with 20yrs ago. Your just never going to please these types. There always going to kind something wrong.
