From my understanding, there's a reason that destro (in the previews) doesn't have his chrome helmet. Its basically going to be like Star Trek were there going to be introducing all the characters and giving you background on them. So for the first part of the movie, Destro will not have his Chrome helmet, but rest assured that he will adorn it in the film. Though i don't remember her speaking in the trailer, if this is in fact true, it will be very disappointing. I always thought her accent was abit sexy. I have to agree. From what I've read they will have an assortment of new vehicles, but it would have been nice to have a few of the classics thrown in the mix. Heck, i would have been fine with even a few modern day "tweaks" of the original designs. Maybe they will. How cool would it be if they discovered a bunker that housed a bunch of old original vehicles that have been in hibernation for a couple decades?? I would forgive all if that was part of the plot! There in what i highlighted is the problem. You need to remember that movie like these, while the idea is not to piss off, and dismantle the fan base of whaitch made such series such as G.I. Joe and Transformers so great,..... Can not be full talored to them alone. These are not B rate movies with B rate budjets. While the fans are an important part of any Series, unfortunutly, they do not make up the majority that will be seeing these movies. I could go on, but i think you know where my thoughts on the new movies and "Bayformers".

And how exactly did it fail at being a Star Trek film?

To be honest, formula one really shouldn't have any kind of budget cap. I mean think about it.... Formula One is the epitome of all motor sports. -The cars are built/designed to the absolute edge of reliability, power, grip and performance. -The engine oil has to be preheated for the engine to even turn over. -The cars produce so much down force, that at 100mph, they could theoretically, drive upside down. -To perform to there very best, the cars demand the very best physical condition from their drivers. -It is THEE most difficult type of race car to drive on the planet. - -Competitors are separated mear thousands of a second. Even the weight of a wrist watch can affect an overall lap time. -Manufacturers/teams have spent millions of dollars just to shave half a second off a lap time. -Its the most technologically advanced racing on the planet. You don't make these kind of advances with budget caps. You hinder them. If your penny pinching in F1, then you don't belong. Go to Fomula 3!!! But seriously, i hope Max wakes up. Cause he's single handily, destroying F1 as we know it.

Congrats to yourself. Cause you just jinkst Brawn! Bed Red, Renault and McLaren will now bounce back and be in the running for the title!

You call it "art"....... I call it crap. Pure, utter crap.

Exactly. Kirk and Spock should have been the main subject (along with the rest of the main cast) and Nero being the subplot. That's exactly how a story like this; that is introducing the main characters of a saga, should have been. I'd have to disagree with this. Too me, having Nero accidentally going back in time, in an attempt to get revenge was much more original than how it was done in first contact. Think about it... How many times have you seen people plan to go back in time vs. accidentally, or following someone/thing in an attempt to catch them whether it be to change history, or prevent a change? Not only that, but time travel has been done twice already. Both times being planned. So in this case, i think it was a nice change that worked well for the plot.

Which is good. For a movie of this magnitude and for a franchise that has such a large following, its important not to change the characters in a way that they don't relate or portray the originals they were based on. I felt all the characters were easily recognizable and kept true to themselves. Actually, it was the lack of character development in Nero that make the movie more enjoyable for me. To me, this movie's main focus should have been about getting to know the original cast. I felt there was enough character development for him not to take away from the main cast. I felt that the 3rd movie was definitely one of the better ones. It introduced us to the Klingon's (on the big screen anyways) Actually, Star Trek the Motion Picture did,but they were only in it for a few minutes)). It did however, introduce us to the Bird Of Prey ) I agree. It was the base of what everything Star Trek was based on, so in essence, i really can't see putting it in the bad colum either.

Saw the New Star Trek movie last night.... Fantastic movie. While not perfect (well lets be honest, what movie is?) J.J. Abrams did Gene Roddenberry proud. Great cast, great story and plot with great Character development. Every Actor was perfect for their said roles/characters. Very well done. Whats really cool is that unlike previous Star Trek movies, you could go into watching this knowing nothing about Star Trek and you would not get lost in the story. Highly recommended movie. We can also use this to discuss other Star Trek movies/series if people would like.

Blahh! That was Rubens race to win. It was more than clear that Button is the favorite. Brawn screwed him with the 3 stop strategy. I have a feeling that Brawn is going to create a Hamilton/Alonso type team if he keeps pushing Button as the favorite. Rubens will not play second to Button for long. Not when its clear that he himself can fightforthe championship. Over all an alright race. But like KimT said, its getting old seeing Brawn always up top. Good to see Hamilton make up spots on the Grid. Good Job! It was even nice to see Massa with big Red up top getting some points. Reallysucks about his fuel mistake though. Sad to see that he had to relinquish not one, but two spots just so he could ensure to make it to the end of the race. Very poor planning. Lets hope that Monaco gives us some more excitement.

ya,I'm thing of grabbing a Rattler while there still on the shelves. Even though its not a movie toy, i fear once the movie comes out, everything GI Joe related will be cleaned out. Much like when the transformers movie came out. From what i understand there releasing things in waves. Its very possible that there's quite a few more figs and vehicles to be released before the movie toys come out. There's even rumors of the U.S.S. Flagg coming back.

What does him being from the UK have anything to do with it?

If anyoen isinto racing games, I recomend Grid for the 360. Great detail and good simulator.

Nice. This pretty much sums up how i feel about the movie as well. I am looking forward to seeing this, but i have also come to grips that it won't be what i remember from my childhood. And i can't expect that from a modern day live action movie. As of right now, the only characters that are unmistakable at this point ar Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, and Baroness. Other others at this point all look the same. Though i guess not everyone can have there trade mark uniforms. Then it mightend up looking like "Street Fighter" as have a cheesy feel to it. I too caught G.I. Joe, Resolute. I liked it. Easily recognizable characters, good story and I agree that having real deaths helped add to the whole story. A few weeks ago while shopping at target i came across some GI Joe toys. I was happy to see that they had re-released some of the original toys and figures just as they were built in the 80's. I was stopped in my tracks when i saw the 25th anniversary GI Joe "Tiger Rat" airplane. It is basically a repainted Cobra Rattler plane painted in yellow and black tiger stripes. I remember when i was a kid seeing this in the catalog and doing every bit of homework and cleaning every orifice of my house for months to unsure that i would get this for my birthday. Only to find out that i was looking at an old catalog and it had been discontinued for some time. So needless to say, i snatched one up right away. Next week ithink i'll go pick up a Cobra Rattler and a GI Joe X-30 plane.

...Or anything G.I. Joe related. I heard about the movie around a year ago, and even started seeing some still shots. Then the first trailer aired during the super bowl. I wasn't all that enthused. Then i saw the new 2 minute trailer. I'm a little bit more amped, but still not all that thrilled. Not like i was for the first transformers movie,or even the 2nd for that matter. When i watch it, it just doesn't scream "G.I. Joe!" for me. G.I. Joe (next to Lego) was probably my most favorite of my toys. More so than Transformers. And who wouldn't like them? A mix of all kinds of custom military type vehicles, awesome playsets and great figures with their own little "stories" and back grounds. Its funny; my mom used to have to bitterly drag me out of bed at 7am for school, but i had no problem getting up at 6am on Saturday mornings to watch my favorite cartoon! Yes, like Transformers, it was nothing more than a half hour toy commercial. But i wasok with that. I still remember rolling my Cobra "Hiss" Tank around while it was on screen. Same with my Battle Wagon and Y-22. here's the web site for the movie.. http://www.gijoemovie.com/ Now I'm not going to be unrealistic. I don't expect to see a fleet of Cobra rattler planes, dog fighting GI Joe X-30 fighter planes. I don't expect a live action G1 G.I. Joe movie remake. I'm not a hard core fan by any means, but do have fond memories of what i remember G.I. being. I'm notsure if i see that in this new movie. But either way, it does look like a good action flick. I'm going to go into it with an open mind likei did Transformers. Hopefully i won't be disappointed. The Character designs are pretty good and though i have no idea of the plot, it seems its carrying on the general theme of the original cartoon and comics. Cobra is hell bent to rule the world, and the Joe's have to stop them. If they can at least get that part right, then this movie just might be OK.

I really like Rampage. Especaily his bot mode. How were you able to see and handle aoo these bots? Were you able to play with devestator? ON a side note i went to go see Wolverine this weekend. From what i'e read they said they were going to show the preview for ROTF. Well guess what? They didn't. I was pissed. Aparatly there two sets of previews for this movie and i got the shit box ones. Not cool. Oh well, i just saw it on line, and it looks fantastic! Devestator swallows Mud flap!

You know were they got the idea to sue? An exact same case in the UK. I will agree with you that many Americans are sue happy though. The worse case was when a robber broke into a families home and broke his back falling on their kitchen table. HE sued the family and some how WON his case. Ridiculous.

360 for me. I preffer racing games, and 360 has a far better selectrion than either the Wii or PS3. I also preffer the 360 controller as well. As for graffics, you can have the best consoleon the market, but the graffics are only going to be as good as your TV. SO if your still sporting a 10yr old projection TV, it won't matterif you have a PS3, 360, or Sega Genises. (that console rocked!), your going to have the same graffics.

There was a guy in Las Vegas Nevada that Chrome plated a Mercedes a year or so back. It was so shiny, that it blinded traffic and caused an accident. A hand full of people sued the owner for a sum of around 5 million and won the case. Judge ruled that it was in poor taste that a car would be finished in Chrome, knowing the affect it would have in direct sunlight.

Were did you get that quote from? From my understanding the penalty is a "suspended"one. Meaning that at this point McLaren can keep racing, Hamiltion can continue racing and collect drivers points and McLaren can still pick up constructors points. If at anytime within the next year they are brought before the WMSC, it is then that they will recieve a 3 race penalty. So there ok. They just really need to dot their I'S and cross their T's so to speak.
