That's right! But it is a nice little feature, that should work properly. As I said before: in the originial setup it is a nightmare to fumble out those red connectors to release the cab. And it is also not good to have a "digital" locking mechanism (the yellow thing). So the city cylinders is a very good replacment that works incredibly well. Regards, Gerhard

Here is the of the road-cleaner. Sorry for the quality, it was made with my HTC HD2.Regards, Gerhard

Thanks! I also implemented two lifters for the cabin. I've seen them at barman76 blue Unimog and I like it. In fact the friction between the axle and the connector is pretty high. So the two lifters are way enough to keep the cabin open. We don't need the original yellow thing anymore to hold the cabin in place. I also attached the "quickreleases" for the cabin from efferman, so that I don't have to fumble the red pin-connectors out to open the cabin. See bigger pictures on my flickr photostream. These are interessting for all of us, who don't want to raise the cabin via pneumatic or LA. Regards, Gerhard

I just build up my snowplow in orange too. It features... .. orange and black panels (I like that, as sometimes there is a black rubber shield attached to the top of the plow), .. I removed all red parts, replaced them by dark bluish grey ones, .. I added two cylinders for turning the blade. It's a bit more realistic .. I added the two little flags that I've seen at AndoS snowplow, .. two little stabilization wheels, .. ... More pictures in my brickshelf-folder, once the admins have published them. Regards, Gerhard P.s.: For the meantime: deeplinks are from 01 til 12...

Here is the PDF! Fresh from my Dropbox! It is still 9MB... **************************** My latest creation: a road sweeper or cleaner. The brushes are rotaing counterwise, driven by the front PTO. The two arms are suspended, so that obstacles don't harm them. The whole thing can be lifted by the front PPTO. See more pictures on my BS-folder, once it is published by the admins. Regards, Gerhard P.s.: The Brickshelf deeplinks are going till 15

@Alasdair Ryan: wow! That is really cool! I'll check the instructions and let you know if there is something different. @ Junkstyle Gio: The picture of you is from a different user. I found them at Dikkie Klijn's photostream. Here is a detail of the three-side bed: Regards, Gerhard

Where did you find the picture. In Barman76 foto stream, I only can find these: Regards, Gerhard

Can you please make a picture from above. Then wen can see, if you are using two cylinders to move the shield sideways. Thanks! I like th colour! I do also have orange panels, but I did th upper row in black panels. I'll post a photo these days. Regards, Gerhard

Unfortunately I do not have much time in the moment to improve the whole thing. But I will try my best... Regards, Gerhard

I am just linking the pictures into the thread. They are hosted on Brickshelf and were uploaded by different users. So I cannot resize them. Sorry. Regards, Gerhard

Here is a towbar for the Unimog. It was build by BS-User mati0921. Some more pictures in his BS-folder. Regards, Gerhard

I was NOT building any additional motor so far into the Unimog... Where did you see the motor? The whole Mog is still "manual", but sometimes I will be motorizing it! Regards, Gerhard

I just ordered mine! Looks super!!! Regards, Gerhard -
So, I just took some further pictures. I removed the arm and just left the mounting part. I hope that helps to understand the construction. There are 7 further pictures. Numbers 15 till 21. Regards, Gerhard

Yes, that is exactly how it works! I put a black pulley wheel in the center: I was actually thinking about spnning it, But I am afraid that this wold not looke nice. Maybe with a micro motor... ? Regards, Gerhard

On picture 12 you can see that the PTO is directly connected to two 3L universal joints. And then on picture 13 or picture 8 you can see, that it is going via some gears directly to the LA. Unfortunately I don't know how to make a lld file. Regards, Gerhard

Thanks! Maybe I do not understand it right. The mower itself ist not turning. It is passive, it just rolls over the ground. The front PTO activates the linear actuator, that moves the whole thign sideways by 6 studs. Regards, Gerhard

Here is my version of a mower. It is based on the design of the original crane arm. It can be controlled via the front PPTO. It has three pneumatic cylinders to lift the arm and move the mower-part itself. And also it can be moved sidewise by 6 studs using the front PTO via a linear actuator. See another 12 pictures in my Brickshelf-folder (once it is published by the admins). Regards, Gerhard

Why don't you use the solution shown in the Youtube-video mentioned in this answer? It is the cleanest solution I've seen so far. Hardly no change, everything works as before, you'll have 4WD and also the center of gravity is pretty low. Regards, Gerhard
