  1. I agree with Musikfreak. The friction is less to both mentioned models! If you turn the center differential on the Unimog, you need hardly any force. All 4 wheels turn right away. If I do this on the 8880 or 8865 (both models are standing on my shelf) I definitly need much more force, even If I set the gearboxes to neutral. Regards, Gerhard
  2. Thanks! I added some new pictures to Flickr. Regards, Gerhard
  3. No, in all available languages on the picture the word "motor" is in plural! So it means "2 motors batterybox". In total three pieces! Regards, Gerhard
  4. I asked the girl in the shop, why they have it already (5 weeks beforfe the official release date. She said: "I don't know, but they sometimes just new stuff along. It is never clear when they get the new stuff. But unfortunately we do not have nay catalogues anymore!" However: I am now on page 41 on step 31! Regards, Gerhard
  5. I just came back from the Lego Flagship Store in Munich! I have the sweetness!!!!!!! Here are some photos from the unpacking! My Flickr photostream! One interessting thing: on the packages it says that there are 2 (!) motors included. But there is definitly only one! Regards, Gerhard
  6. I also called the Lego-Shop in Munich and they also said it is available and I am welcome to stop by. They also said, it is in great demand, but they would reserve one for me! Regards, Gerhard
  7. The seventh Part of the rewview is available. It is about the B-model, the snow-plug. Regards, Gerhard
  8. Was the price the standard 189,99 EUR? How many sets did they have? Why do they have it already? It is even not released on the Lego-website. Regards, Gerhard
  9. These reviews are wonderful! They let us see, how this sweetness will work later in our own hands!! Many thanks to Conchas! It seems, as the front axle has less travel than the rear axle. Is it like that? Regards, Gerhard
  10. See my picture. It is the yellow marked axle, that transfers the steering momentum to the wheels. Regards, Gerhard
  11. T H A N K Y O U !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Regards, Gerhard
  12. We all are waiting desperately for a detailed picture from underneath. Regards, Gerhard
  13. Thanks! :o) I changed it! These links prevent the whole suspension axle to move left and right without control. If this thing is not there, then the whole back axle would swing left and right. And I hope there is only one link-arm on each side of the vehcile, because otherwise the suspension would not work. It would be blocked. On this picture, you can see, that there are only two link-arms. At least it seems, that they have sorted all the bits and pieces. So they only found 2 of them in the package: Regards, Gerhard
  14. I am sure it can! Otherwise Mercedes would have NOT :) given the licensing to TLG. Here you can see the steering transmission pretty clear: They are using at least one of this part in the steering transmission. This part does not have a "press-fit" connection with an axle, but a floating one. So the steering transmission can expand and compress. Regards, Gerhard
  15. It is still down, the pictures above are not visable. :( Regards, Gerhard
  16. I did a little photoshopping, an one can clear see the axlehole in the new part for the portal-axles: Regards, Gerhard
  17. But watching the pictures, I cannot see, where else they used the 4L differential. It seems as if there would be 3 identical 3L diffs. Regards, Gerhard
  18. That picture, which I attached, is interessting: They mounted the crane at the front of the Unimog. Very nice, that this is possible. Obvioulsy the attachment-points are the same on both ends of the Mog. BTW: for those, who are "disappointed" about the new portal-axle-part and its one-time-usability. There are two 4WD-cars in the Technic-Lego history: 8880 and 8466. Both cars have special parts for their 4WD: 2999, 6540 and 873c01. For the 8880 the hubs even need special rims to use them. So IMHO it is more than OK, that Lego developed a new part for this special need. Regards, Gerhard
  19. I did not know, that it is possible to insert a standard axle into that piece (at least I never tried). I thought it would only be possible to insert this: Regards, Gerhard
  20. Within all the discussion about the turning point, let's not forget, that the wheel itself is attached with three pins. So there must be something like this: BTW: here is the full foto about the entanglement of the portal-axles: And what is that in the bottom right corner of the picture? A plastic basket?? Regards, Gerhard
