  1. I have always been amazed by your trucks. The DAF is really cool too. There are so much details in there, even the exhaust...
  2. Here it is : As I said in Rebrickable: While building, I was surprised by some techniques used to give an angle to some parts. I was saying to myself: "there is no way it works". I was so wrong. No extra force is needed to hold the parts together. Regarding the improvements, I think the engine does not spin fast enough (even in 1st gear). The rear suspension is pretty weak too (but no choice given the inventory). I modified this by slightly modifying the setup and adding a soft spring for each wheel. I can provide pics to who built the car. Also, following the instructions, I was unable to find the correct attachment points of the front spoiler. Finally, on the aesthetics side, I would remove a 9L black beam so that the rear diffuser is more inward. Very good model
  3. It is great that you are doing building instructions because this MOC really deserves it. Good luck!
  4. All has already been said! Cleaner look, correct proportions, less parts... Amazing
  5. Interesting setup! It is true there are not so many manual transmissions nowadays. But I see one major reason to this : most of the people out there base their car on real recent supercars, and almost all of them have sequential gearbox. I myself plan on doing a manual Porsche 992 with rear wheel steering (the rws depends on the position of the selector). I just can't figure out a way to build a reliable shifter for a 7+R gearbox.. I'll give a try with your solution.
  6. Saw this earlier today... I agree MK is not known for developing their own models. A spy at LEGO's Chinese factory is possible but I don't think Lego will produce 3 pairs of new molds only for this car. And there is a lot of studful involved (trunk and doors). These aspects make me think that this is not the Lego model. Regarding the color, I like this one but it would not be that distinctive compared to the Chiron. But what a coincidence though...
  7. Hi T Lego, I saw your model some time ago on Insta. It is amazing. Two things have particularly caught my attention. The first one is the placement of the gearbox which allows to put the shifter right under the engine, leaving all the space into the monocoque. The second is the wide use of 9x5 beams (combined with frames) on the structure. They efficiently stiffen the chassis in the 3 directions. And that paneling is amazing, especially when considering the part availability in this color. This inspired me for the project I am currently working on (the rework of the Bugatti Chiron with corrected proportions and hopefully the use of less parts). The rear part is done with a different suspension set-up and a different shifter organization, avoiding the use of a chain. At the moment it is paused because I didn't find a rigid enough solution to connect the rear to the monocoque (engine is bigger). I will upload pics to my Bricksafe if you are interested in seeing it! Keep up the good work!
  8. This is an amazing replica, even more considering it is mainly studless. Awesome work
  9. Some time ago, I looked if this could be possible. With the very limited part availability in this color, I am afraid that huge MODs on the aesthetics will be needed.
  10. Just finished the 3D model so here are the comparison shots
  11. It is a really impressive build. I like the fact that the shifter is integrated into the rear bumper. The modularity adds a lot! Oh, and the wheel arch under the windshield is perfect Keep up the excellent work, which amazes me each time.
  12. Hello everyone, As I said before, I create concepts for WIP projects that I don't show you because I lack interest before finishing some MOCs. That's why I decided to create this topic! At the same time, I think (at least for me) it is better to create a single topic gathering all my future MOCs and WIPs. So here it is I don't plan to show my old MOCs but I can provide the links to the folders : Brickshelf Bricksafe I will begin with 2 things : FENWICK Forklift : When @Attika presented his small forklifts, I immediately wanted mine. After some research, I finally found that some MODs could transform it into a Fenwick (1:22 scale). Its features are similar for the steering and for the raising/lowering of the boom. This boom really is the section where all is different because it uses a cable system rather than a gear/rack. The rack was too long and in the driver's vision. A worm gear is hidden it the upper section. Mack Anthem daycab + flatbed trailer : The second MOCs concern the Mack Anthem (yeah again ). This is a daycab version and a classic flatbed trailer (copied on the one made by @Void_S). I used the configurator on the truck manufacturer website to obtain realistic wheelbase and side equipment. The steering is a bit improved since my Granite as there now is a proper 1:3 reduction instead of a 12:20. The rest of the work is mainly to focus on the proportions compared to the real truck. Considering the set, this implies: Lowering the roof by 1 stud. It changes many things actually because the steering mechanism had to be modified... Shortening the hood and the front bumper Lowering the grill to allow a rounder hood Lowering the mudguards Making the headlights thinner I am quite pleased with what I have now To inform you: I don't plan to keep this classic tractor unit and flatbed trailer configuration. I want to explore another thing, why not a heavy-duty wrecker. All the functions would be manual including outriggers, boom raise, fork lowering, boom extension, and 2 winches. What do you think about the Century 7035? See below:
  13. Very nicely done Do the motors suffer because of the weight of the boom? The only "complaint" about the clean design would be the ladders on the lower carriage... In my opinion, they are a bit bulky
  14. It is a bit soon but I will certainly not have the opportunity to do this "on time". So I wish you, in advance, a happy new year. I really wish the best for all EB's members: work and personal happiness, success, especially when reading the earlier posts! And also, I hope the community will last long and Lego will surprise us in a good manner. Please, give us an ultimate Mustang, it is far more iconic than a Bugatti for most people! As a personal improvement, I will create a dedicated topic for my creations (like others have already done). This will be the opportunity to share more concepts, which will not necessarily be included into finished models
  15. Hi Steph, Very good progress so far. I love your helicopters and am happy you began another one. Waiting for more progress One question: do you know the overall scale of this little baby? because I'd like to put it on a lowboy trailer...
  16. Interesting setup. It sure spin much better. I think this finding is more suited for RC vehicle but it is also its limitations because the torque transmitted relies on friction between the 3mm diam. axle and the bearing... I like it anyway
  17. Hi, So this time I will write in the correct location... The 42078 Mack Anthem raises huge interest and offers many possibilities for MOCs. I am continuously improving modifying the design on this set and want to build a new configuration. Can peoples close to the North American and/or Australian market answer these little questions? - Is the Anthem actually replacing an older model (such as the Vision)? - What kind of equipment can it receive? Logging crane, knuckle crane, another,... ? Because most of the photos I saw are "simple" tractor units or dump trucks... Thank you in advance
  18. Thank you! Sadly, I can't delete my post...
  19. RC version is not planned because I don't own RC components anymore... But it shouldn't be a problem. Just swap the fake engine with the servomotor and add the drive motors in the side skirts as this has been done on previous Mods on the 42078.
  20. More news: the .io file for the 6x4 tractor unit is done. To obtain it, click here. Low-resolution renders: This time, I tried to build it completely in Studio because of LDD being too restrictive. I found that Studio is the opposite. As a result, there are some collisions here and there... but nothing very visible. You can correct them if you wish! For the latter projects, I will use LDD for the submodels and Studio for the assembly . Hope you will like it!
  21. The cab and front section of the chassis are modeled...
  22. Very interesting project! I love the progress so far. I kind of miss the front lights... Will you be using the 62.4x20 wheels (my deduction)? Keep up the good work!
  23. Guys, please stop EB is meant to be a peaceful place. Regarding the first wave of set, I tend to be disappointed. I do have regrets for having sold my 42009 set... Waiting for the next wave with the ultimate supercar!
