Eh, 1600 pieces really? More like 1600 really small slope pieces to justify the price. $200 is way to much should be more like $150, This is no where near the bulk of the Slave I. And why is there only one minifigure? they could have at least threw us another stormtrooper like in the Slave I.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
The Executive replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Seeing how small the DO is I've been having to buy more than one modular in order to get a full sized building. I've been building my own modulars now since its so much cheaper to build your own. I'm really not liking the direction Lego is going with the Modular line. The cookie caper was cute but it is really hard to figure out if someone doesn't explain it to you in a video. The story telling is starting to bother me, it just feels unnecessary. What's next an exploding modular for more playability? But I've discovered the joy of building my own modular and also the joy of Bricklink. -
$349 USD is just too pricey for something like this and on top of that, where I live I would have to pay $20 in taxes too. It should be more like $299 USD. I mean where is the Hulk micro figure and the rest of the Avengers? Also the exposed studs is sort of bothering me, this kind of ship needs a more smoother look. They should have used more SNOT techniques. I mean it's a nice ship and its well designed but overall not impressed by the price and lack of Hulk.

I think it needs more minifigs. I agree with everyone that says it should include a Coulson or Bruce Banner. But I really feel bad for our Canadian and New Zealand friends because they are paying $400 for this thing. But this is really for the serious lego builders and for those short on cash you may need to take out a loan to buy this thing. On another note, statue minifigs? Perhaps a glimpse of things to come and is Lego really going the mighty max route.

If I ran TLG. Lego City would no longer be a police state, and would be catered to both boys and girls. I would end the piece count fiasco, and no longer say a 8x16 is equivalent to a 1x1. I would bring back Johnny Thunder/Classic space. I would try to gear Lego more towards the building aspect instead of playability. I would force kids to use their imagination and not just make up a story for them Newer better free style boxes (make use of all the pieces in circulation). No more juniorization of system sets. No more flick fire missiles/spring loaded shooters. No more 4-8, 5-9 type age range. It should be: Duplo ages 1-3, Lego ages 4-and up

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors
The Executive replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I just had a great idea. What if the new echo base set is actually an episode 5 set with both parts from the echo base and cloud city. That would certainly make up for the size difference to replace the death star. -
This set is horrible for one simple reason. You cannot lift the gun without accidentally opening the cockpit. The cockpit is unbelievably small even for a battle droid. Also where are the antennae and launch tubes?

I'm still going to get the DO but the set only comes with 2.5 floors compared to the PR and its even shorter. It just feels too small for $159.99 and would it kill them to design a full third floor. In my opinion the PR was really great because it had such a nice balance of detail. I really miss the nice full sized modulars like the GG and FB but those days are long gone and you can clearly see Lego's greed with their shrinking sets and increasing prices.

How do you display your modular building collection?
The Executive replied to yanathin's topic in LEGO Town
For roads I find the SNOT method very detailed and wonderful if you are a serious city builder but it can be very very expensive and can sometimes cost more than a basic Lego building. I myself am very happy just pushing the modular buildings back and slapping the road plates right next to them. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
The Executive replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I've come to believe that Lego may never make a modular Hospital, Bank, or Police station. The reason why is simply because they are mostly reserved for the City line. In my opinion the modular buildings are meant to be uniquely themed buildings such as a pet shop or barbershop. I'm hoping for a flower shop and laundromat combo in the near future. -
DO looks good. I might buy a couple of these. But I can't help but feel that detective must be pretty ignorant to not be able to smell those cookies baking upstairs.

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors
The Executive replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The new arc-170 helmet looks pretty badass. I think the Hailfire droid should have included a new figure to give people a better incentive to buy it. I think we all remember General Grievous Chase. The bike had printed wheels and yes it sucked, but it came with a new Grievous figure and Boga which balanced it out. This set just has nothing much to balance out the suckage. The treads just look so much nicer than the printed wheels( at least I hope their printed). If you like blue clones go ahead and pick it up, but I was expecting a little bit more. -

Azure Angel is great, Asajj is wonderful. Hailfire is exactly what I expected. A giant piece of crap. -

That's what happens when marketing and the big wigs interfere with the designers. Logic is thrown out the window. I think they could have found a better way of making the wheel instead of printing it. I guess kids are too lazy these days to put together the chain links. -

Wow this is a new low for Lego. Printed wheels? What is this star wars town Jr.? What a drop in quality, pretty terrible. I will gladly boycott this one. -

I would have had a better chance of accepting the rebels storm trooper if they hadn't produced a new OT storm trooper along side it. The OT design is clearly more thought out and looks better by comparison. They could have at least made a micro fighter for the OT storm trooper design this winter. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Wow, I wish I could break into Lego Headquarters and find out what they are. So they already decided the next five so we probably won't now the last one is until the year 2020. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
The Executive replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
If this is true than my voice is going to be diminished over time because of profits. I thought modulars were "toys for adults". All the modular buildings need to be are full sized buildings with a nice balance between interior and exterior detail. Although the story telling is nice, it shouldn't compete with the overall size of the building. If the kids don't like it than they can buy plenty of City sets. I might need to find a new hobby in the future. -

The Tusken has a molded head?! Shut up and take my money! Although I am very very disappointed that the ITT are rebel's stromies I might buy one because I am very desperate for new storm troopers and I don't have $130 to buy the new Star Destroyer. -
This looks great! I like the cage. Yeah Lego should have made the ITT a larger sized battle pack or maybe a $30 set.

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors
The Executive replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Ah man I sure hope they make the senate commando troopers, such a great concept. Those lego stud shooters have grown on me and the multi shooter looks really cool. I'm really upset that the ITT is going to be rebels, those stormie faces look so awful. Also, the AAT is really tiny but its actually a pretty good deal for $25-$30. I'm pretty pleased with most of the battle packs so far but I'm still really hoping for a 501st battle pack in the near future. -
Thanks for the review. I'm gonna have to pass on this set. It feels like a giant rip off. If it was cheaper I might get one but it's too expensive for something so tiny and all those gaps . It could have at least come with a better exclusive figure than a generic naboo guard. I'm still waiting for a Boss Nass minifigure.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12 Rumours and Discussion

The spooky girl is exactly what I expected. She's basically a goth girl with a little Elvira/Vampira feel to her. The piggy guy also is pretty much what I envisioned.- 1,109 replies

Pacman was a great surprise! I would have never thought they would let Pacman in a game like this but I'm not complaining. Bring it on!

I love the mini figures especially the Biths. The new sand trooper is the most accurate so far and the dew back is truly excellent. My only problem with this set is the severe lack of Ponda Baba. Also, Greedo was lacking arm printing and the price is pretty steep for a set this small.
