LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors
The Executive replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I don't really mind the micro fighters. I know they look ridiculous but at least they're cheap and you get a new clone trooper and a new Han Solo. As for the rumors of a new AT AT I'm all up for that. If they manage to make a new one I really hope it's UCS size because all the others were too small. -

Overall the worst set in my opinion has to be Ani Jedi star fighter. I mean they didn't even add any significant changes from the design of 9494 and it's still missing landing gear. They could have at least threw in an extra figure. I say stick with the 2005 version, its much better than this piece of crap. Everything else looks fantastic, even though they are mostly remakes. I love the detail on the battle pack figures but I am a little worried about the flick fire guns, they look ridiculous. Something about the box art I really like, the blue and orange are nice complimentary colors. -

The octoparra droid flick missiles look gimmicky and pointless. The position of the missiles don't look very practical to shoot. -
Boy those inmates sure do get a nice view of the city. I kind of like the simplicity of the design and the extra blue on the side of the police station is nice. I'm lacking a police station at the moment(was holding out for a modular) but I might pick this one up because I enjoy the new cop hats.

I love the new phase II clone prints. It will be nice to see those in utapau and kashyyyk colors. After seeing a different angle of the kashyyyk trooper, I think if the print was slightly wider it would look better. I also love the Tarful mold. Lego really did a great job on the detail. -

I don't really know why the molds now are mostly bobble heads. It seams like a waist of plastic to make it two times the size of the actual head. Lego has proven in the past that they can make descent sized helmets, just look at the phase I and scout trooper helmet. They should have just modified the scout trooper helmet by filling in the visor hole and putting a print on it. -

The print looks pretty off to me. The helmet is huge and the goggles are tiny. It looks like it could fit two minifigure heads in it. The drawing for the preliminary minifigure looks much better. I really hope this is not final. -

My only concern is the blasters won't fire too well like some of the flick fire missiles. Do kids really care about flick fire missiles? I thought it was building toy not an action figure, but I guess I'm getting old. I was happy with just the building aspect when I was a kid with the first wave of star wars sets back in 1999. -
I have been hoping for a Modular Bank or Hospital for a while now. I also don't understand why Lego made a Fire Station Modular but so far no Police Station to complement it. But who knows what they will make in the future. I just hate waiting an entire year for a new Modular Building and having it be something I don't want. I have recently purchased my first Modular sets, 2 Grand Emporiums and 1 Town Hall. The Town Hall set is incredible.

Excellent, I love Hellboy. Abe is my favorite character. Which reminds me, I still need to see Hellboy II.

The clone cannon thing looks cool. I also like the whole battle scene with all the droids and clones.
-
I like the spider droid and I'm glad it comes with new clone molds and i'll prob end up getting cause its's limited and I like the set. But here's my theory on the extra jump in price. The reason the price is so high is that the spider droid is a toysrus exclusive the same with the hoth base set from 07, and they can usually jump the price up cause it's limited. The extra mini figs also jumped the price as well. I'm pretty sure the new molds didn't jump the price up too much, example, the rebel battle pack came with new molds and decals but it didnt jump the price an extra 10.

Impressive layout. I like how you pushed all the taller buildings together which made the city look bigger.
-
A gray tie fighter would be a great idea seeing I hated the blue color scheme. For 2009 I was really hoping we would get those taun tauns we have been asking for about a decade now.
-
I really like the sets for the clone wars line, but it just seams like they are over priced. I was hoping the HSD would be $20 USD but it was $30 USD which was a surprise for me considering it had the same amount of pieces as the hailfire droid.

A poll to decide a star wars set for february 2009
The Executive replied to darkrebellion's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I really like choice 1. The thought of finally having a palpy figure is nice, but I gotta go with choice 3, because a mon calamari cruiser set sounds much more fun. -
The new Ani hair do looks very useful for other minifigs, too bad I have to buy a crappy fighter to get it. If the rumors of the saber class fighter tank are true, then I sure hope Lego make some more Sep stuff like the homing spider droid, which has been on my list for a long time now.

I'm starting to like this line better then the others. Finally a city builder set with something other then a police, fire, or train station.
-
Hear hear. I absolutely agree. I mean, Pirates got new weapons , Wild Western got new weapons, Batman got new weapons , so it was only reasonable that star wars got some new blasters . I was waiting so long for appropriate blasters, cause those darn megaphones never worked for me.

This set looks like an easy way of getting a few extra naboo pilots X-D . I'm hoping in future sets, Lego decides to make the German helmets.
-
It would be cool if Lego made that. They need to make more Rebel ground vehicles.
-
I have some more things to add. The Rebel Scout speeder is a nice ground vehicle for the rebels. You could use a few of those and take out an At-St or chicken walker. The AT-AP is a perfect artillery unit for anyone's clone army, It's the clone opposite of the AAT. The stormtrooper drop ship is a perfect set for people who want to drop in a few troops without the need of a bulky carrier . The hailfire droid looks great for the missile gimmick thing. The hail fire droid specializes in hit and run type of warfare, which make these things worthy opponents for the AT-AP's. AS for the RS, I'm not too impressed with it, but the minifigs looks interesting.
-
For the the love of Lego, we need a post office. We haven't had one since the eighties and I think it's about time.
-
The rebel speeder looks hilarious, but I'm glad they made up for it with the rebel trooper and it looks like they have new decals too. The AT-AP looks nice, might pick that one up. The new spider droid looks pretty funky, might get that one later on.

I know how you feel. My TRU never has anything.Sometimes it doesn't even get exclusives let alone regular starwars sets. Only exclusive they had their was the Imperial Inspection and they were gone before I could buy one. :'-(
