  1. *gasp* Are you kidding me? Honestly, I hate this set. The batbike looks far too blocky, and that Hammer Truck looks super shoddy and thrown together. The only real reason I'd get it at all would be for the Harely Quinn figure - but I'd probably just get her separately on Bricklink. Besides, the Tumbler and Robin's Jetski sets look far better to me. They actually seem to have great vehicle designs. No new villian figures, I know, but still some great old ones. Er, wait a minute... oh yeah, hope your review gives the real scoop on this kit, Deino.
  2. I believe it was confirmed long ago that yes, they are doing all 7 of them over the years between now and 2012 or so. Um, don't you have more to say than that, Athos? Did you even like it?
  3. What? Where did you see that? And VBBN, man is that thing creepy. I wonder what it's a prototype of...
  4. I honestly don't see what you're seeing in him, Kal. Aside from the fact that he bears no resemblance to his canister form at all (not even any black, for Karzahni's sake), he's just as boring a build as you can get. Piraka torso. Limbs. Head. It's getting really tiring. And Pohatu... oh man, that has to be the worst Bionicle humanoid I've ever seen in set form! Monkey legs that are worse than ever, backwards Inika torso, and terrible choice of back armor! In short, he's a mess. Even worse is the fact that Jetrax looks far more slapped together from the new picture - the engines look completely out of place, and probably block the vision of anybody riding it. Oh well, at least Takanuva still looks awesome. *Off to read The Kingdom part two*
  5. Amazing Moc. Actually, the color scheme seems fine to me - it's no worse than Cafe corner. And the rest of it is just wondeful, The interior design is fantastic, and I love all the little touches like the sorting room upstairs, the the desk, and other great stuff. Man, I knew TLC had a hit on their hands when they launched the Modular building series - it's been so cool seeing all the AFOL's coming out with buildings of their own to compliment Lego's wonderful line.
  6. Great review, 5150. Although, you might want to resize your pictures before posting them so they don't take forever to load. I was actually the complete opposite. Ever since I saw the first pictures, I fell in love with the whole line. The helicopter looks to be one of the two best in the line, right up with the 4WD and Jetski. Great job TLC, and I do hope you have something equally as great planned for next year.
  7. Actually, I don't see any resemblance at all between that old theme and this set, for several reasons - 1. The cockpits of the sub and ship look airtight. Alpha Team was notorious for having huge gaps in many of the kits' cockpits. 2. The color scheme is totally different - Alpha team was yellow/dark clear and black/trans red, while this is dark blue/clear and black/orange 3. Alpha team's "subs" were totally unrealistic and crappily designed - these models, like much of the Agents line, seem much more though out and more realistic with a futuristic spin. Overall, I like this set a lot. It's yet another sign at how well this theme is playing out, and shows that TLC wasn't winging it this time.
  8. And legomilk strikes again! Actually, I'm willing to bet that one of the themes is some space oriented theme. With the success of Mars Mission TLC is bound to either make more of that or make a brand new spacey theme.
  9. Thanks for the file, Tyranide! Now I'm off to read it.
  10. Great review, Deino! Man, that car is just so beautiful, and the helicopter is nice too. Unfortunately, this seems pretty pricy, and I hardly think I'll be getting it any time soon, what with my limited budget and all. Still, it's great to see how well Agents is shaping up.

    new sets?

Actually, I think the Agents one is brand new! And boy, does it look great! Thanks for the pics, wulf.
  12. Oh oh, but it was a LEAD fridge! That makes all the difference! Anyway, saw TCoN: Prince Caspian today. It was really great - wondeful voice acting, great characters, plenty of storyline, awesome battle scenes, great special effects, and it stays true to the Narnia spirit! Definitely one of the best movies I've seen in the last few years, and even better than the first Narnia movie! And to think - this all came from the director of Shrek! I think C. S. Lewis himself would be pleased with the direction this series is going in today.
  13. Same here! I may just break down and buy both of them eventually, even with the increased price tag. Probably though, I'll just wait until they are reduced in price.
  14. Welcome! Don't worry about your collection size - as long as you share a love of the brick, it doesn't matter how many sets you have.
  15. I voted for Vincent Cheung, Luxor V, and Fluyt. Great job everyone. I wish I could have joined in, but unfortunately I don't really own any pirates.
  16. Chrome..... Can't wait for the review, Deino!
  17. Um, so, how did you decide what to get? Did you just start pulling random things off the shelves until you had a cartful?

    LDD Hospital

Trust me, I TRIED to make a helicopter, but LDD doesn't have the right parts. Maybe when they update the online Pick a brick...

    LDD Hospital

Well, early on I decided I'd use parts that you couldn't buy if I had to, so there's really no way to buy this hospital at the moment, sadly. Thanks for all the comments, guys! I was trying to make a bank recently, but I got stuck because they only give the doors in one color.
  20. Welcome back Norro! I hope you took some time to rest and play with your lego - that always helps.
  21. Man, when I opened this topic, I saw the first picture and was like "Batbrick, how can you say that that pile of crap is an improvement?" Then I took time to read the text. Whoops! Anyway, I like this. I wouldn't necessary call it an improvement though, since it really is it's own model and not just an upgrade of the old one. It's sure got some sleek lines and a cool cockpit. Honestly though, I was one of the few that liked the Bat Dragster kit, and I still think that, while hardly as good as the rest of the 2006 line, it's really a fairly nice kit. But it's great to see a new version as well.
  22. Indead. The only reason to get this set is if you couldn't afford the Batcave back in 2006 and want a Mr. Freeze fig for a cheap price. And anyone who did get that kit really have no reason whatsoever to get this. Wait, did I forget something? Oh yeah - thanks for the review, Riddler.
  23. Well, this settles it: I'm going to see Prince Caspian. Boo you Lucasarts for more of the Starwars Prequel syndrome!
  24. Um, are you sure you don't normally build in minifig scale? Because you already have surpassed half the forum with these two creations, including me. Man, these are amazing! Great detail, wonderful interior, and some wonderful SNOT signs. I love everything about these, and I hope you do more.

    LDD Hospital

B-PV-1B For sometime I've been hoping TLC will make a second, better wave of Emergency Rescue sets that includes a much better hospital than the not so spectacular one we got in 2006 (which wasn't that bad, but needed a lot of work). I decided to create what I think would be an ideal hospital design if TLC did so, and I did it using the amazing LDD. I was going to create vehicles as well, but I gave up on it after a failed attempt at a helicopter.
