Don't worry, I think a lot of people here have that problem. I believe it's a common defect among lego builders. Sadly, I'd have to disagree with that. These days we hardly get any dark purple - the first two sets we've gotten since 2005 that have some great purple pieces in them are the Exo-force Dark Panther and one of the new lego racers. And even then, the majority of those two kits are still other colors. I'm still waiting for TLC to make another goldmine kit like the Harry Potter Knight Bus - and for them to make one without making the same shade of purple in SEVERAL slightly different shades that don't quite match.

Very fun! The little water wheel is my favorite part of course, but everything is great. Fabutastic!

Villian Mode in Lego Batman: The Video Game. Nuff said. That sounds more like your making a moveset for Batman if he were to appear in Smash Brothers: Batmobile = Final Smash, Batarang = B Side move, etc. I honestly don't think we'll be seeing any of that in Mortal Combat, as cool as it would be.

I'd agree because of most of those reasons, plus because it's the ONLY batman set I have, sadly. Still, I really think it's one of the best liscensed sets we've gotten in a first year lineup. Plenty of playability, awesome vehicles, amazing figures, and lots of awesome pieces and acessories. What more could you want?

It's easy to see what this really is, guys - just an attempt at cashing in on Super Smash Brothers' massive sucess by combining a rehashed fighting franchise with "celebrity" co-stars.

Mmmmm, dark blue. Very nice version of this awesome ship, Mr M! You've really got the shape and color scheme down. Now, if only TLC would make a kit of this....

Happy birthday!

Same here. Not a fun time it was... Today, I looked in my files to discover that sadly, I lost pictures of not just one, but FOUR bionicle creations. I had suspected this soon after our computer crashed, but I was waiting as long as possible to check. Man, and my Toa Nuparu remake was one of my best ones ever! Good thing that I keep cranking out new ones - just finished Toa Defilak today, and my Toa of Time yesterday (I just knew I'd be making a Time toa using a visorless Kakama Phantoka mask).

Today I went to see the new documentary Expelled: No Inteligence Allowed. ... Yeah, I know what you're thinking. After all, Hollywood absolutely despises it, and it is a biased film. But seriously, the word "bias" doesn't necessarily mean that you are discriminating against a viewpoint or select group of people - it can just mean that you favor one viewpoint over the other. Besides, it's nearly impossible to do a documentary on or write something about a political issue without having some tendancy towards one side. The difference between Expelled and the Holllywood-lauded Michael Moore Crapumentarys is that it comes to a conclusion based solely on historical facts and the words straight from interviewed scientists, not baseless speculation. Anyway, I enjoyed it, and while I don't expect many here to even consider going, it is really interesting and well written.

Actually, when I meant regular blue, regular red, and regular green, I meant the colors used in the original 2001 toa. They haven't featured majorly at all for years. And the light blue I'm talking about (Gali Mata's light blue) hasn't been used since 2005. The piraka used sand blue and baby blue.

Topic title says it all. Anyway, although I have a soft spot for anything Teal, I'd have to say purple. We've already gotten lots of blue and green shaded colors, but we haven't gotten anything purple since the Shadow Kraata of 2003 (and nothing actually USEFUL in MOC's since 2001). Come on TLC, bring back the purple!

I just got back from wal-mart today, and while I was there I saw that they had a couple of the new indiana jones crystal skull sets on the shelves. They had the big temple and the amphibious vehicle set, so they probably do at other walmarts in the USA. Just thought I'd share what I saw.

Shine, this is the kind of "out of the box" bionicle building that we need to see more of. I love the whole thing, especially the neat little base. Hope you do well in the competition! Yeppers.

Wonderful artwork - far better than I could ever draw! I especially love the masks and weapons - although the technic launchers are a bit too much. I'd love to see more! Sadly, no one has the parts, as many of the parts in these awesome drawings are not actually made in real life.

Really? Well, then I guess I WAS wrong. Good to see that you understand now, anyway.

Man, you guys are creeping me out here. Hm, funny, I liked the first trailer better than this one. Maybe it's the music or something.... but at least this one revealed a lot more about the story. Baby hutt's been captured? The Jedi joining up with the crime lords? I likey.

Batman: Gotham Knight Trailer and reviews

Deadshot is Not sure about the other two villian designs, but man, how I love Deadshot. Can't wait to see what the other villians are, if there are others. Anyone for Firefly and Bane? -
Front, you continue to deliver awesome MOC's relatively quickly. I love the shape of these vehicles - and I also am quite a sucker for alternate models. Can't wait to see more creations from you!

A couple days ago I watched the first of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy - the Fellowship of the Ring. I think the Return of the King is my favorite of the three, but I still love all of them, of course. Yesterday I started watching The Two Towers, and I'll be finishing it today. Before that, I watched a great war movie called Flyboys. Not the best on character development, but the dogfighting scenes made up for it - and yes, there were a lot of them. Plus, the movie actually had a decent love story as a side plot - I guess it helped that this movie was based on a true story.

Yesterday I spent the money I earned from cleaning a friend's yard on Bionicle Photok and Pohatu Nuva. Awesome sets, I tell ya. Oh, and I also used the rest of my Borders gift card to get Bionicle Legends 9. Very enjoyable read - and one of Greg's best books by far. Now all I need to finish my 2008 bionicle collection is Mutran and Vican, Toa Ignika, and Takanuva from the summer. I WON'T be getting any of the other sets from the lineup.

Totally agree. I mean, the kardatoran are the size of the Toa Mata! Worse, they are more <insert that tiresome argument> than any previous bionicle line PERIOD. Hm, really? Funny, just yesterday I was thinking it was the rahi/matoran hybrid Vican rode in Bionicle Legends 9.
-
Funny comic, even though I totally disagree. ... Wait a minute! Is that YOUR bionicle, hollisbrick? Hypocrite!
-
Happy birthday, general G! Hm, good thing I mispelled MY username when I registered here.

Sorry, Holisbrick, but your argument for getting rid of bionicle doesn't work. I'm not being mean, I'm serious - you're criticizing a line for continuing to use concepts that DO work - like masks and toa. There's nothing wrong with continuing to make either. I think this isn't as much about you asking us whether we think bionicle should go on or not - this is just a topic for you to express hatred toward a theme you've hated from the start - before it was ever repetitive. I could be wrong though. But seriously, this kind of argument could be used to say that almost any continuing theme should die. Look at this quote for example: The list could go on and on. Technic: "They keep making vehicles over and over again. They're beating a dead horse!" City: "They keep making firestations and police stations over and over again! They're beating a dead horse!" Now, this doesn't mean that it's imaginitive that TLC keeps making firestations and technic vehicles over and over again - Many of us are tired of it. In the same way, Bionicle designs have somewhat gotten repetitive as well, which does not please me. But in almost all lego lines, there are good things too. In city, we get firestations yes, but also postal and cargo vehicles, airplanes, trains, and now even seaports and gas stations, among other things. In the same way, bionicle has postitives even this year: some awesome pieces, non-clone canister sets, and more technic builtvehicle sets that we've ever had before. It's not all bad. But the most important thing is that bionicle sell kits. Why should TLC stop a line that sells just to please you and everybody else that thinks it's dumb? Not a good buisness strategy, is it?

Very nice. Although, I didn't know they had 1x1x2/3 slopes back in the 80's.
