Speaking of mods.... I just opened and built the Kopaka Nuva I bought a few days ago. I love the mask, I love the wings - I love just about everything. However, as I knew months ago, he is a bit lacking in the weapons department. NO MORE: This is kinda a prelude to my Toa Mistika revamp project that I'll be doing during the summer and fall. Basically, all I did was take the swords and the mismatched shield included with the incomplete 2002 Kopaka Nuva I recieved yesterday, and put them together with a few technic bits. Voila - Kopaka Nuva Ultimatia.

Well, it looks like I've been mistaken about the origin of my title for a while: So, it was YOU that did the second change! I had assumed that Vader gave it to me after I rejoined the Tie Army Thread for a little bit. Guess I underestimated how devious you are.

Well, today an old friend dropped by and gave me a extremely late birthday present: a lot of used Bionicles. In it were a few sets I already had, plus a Korahk and Tahu, Lewa, and Kopaka Nuva. Kopaka was missing his mask and had the wrong shield, there were no cans, and some of the instructions were gone, but it was still a great gift. Oh, wait, I didn't buy this did I?

Member Titles - Questions and Answers
Zarkan replied to languages's topic in Forum Information and Help
Whoops. Sorry dude, but you just made the big mistake you're not supposed to make if you want a title. -
Thanks for the review. Antroz is by far my favorite of the Makuta this year. I'm loving almost everything about him, except for the lack of lower torso armor. From a MOC'ers point of view - yes, most certainly. But from a roleplayer's point of view, the Midak Skyblasters are far superior to any of the previous launchers we have had, for two reasons: 1. They store the zamors right inside the launcher, so they don't fall out. 2. They look plain cool - a lot cooler than the zamor rapidfire racks. I think you might be more pleased with the summer launchers, Jinzo - word has it that you actually build them out of multiple parts. Might be at least one good one in that construction.

New lego batman screens and video of clayface, bane, and nightwing
Zarkan replied to boxcar3's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thanks, although I think this belongs in the Culture and Multimedia forum. Hm, well Bane and Nightwing are using the official lego figures, but Clayface is all new! Honestly, he looks a bit weird, even for clayface. From what I can gather though, Batgirl will not be playing much of a role in this game, if any at all. That's not right - I want my lego Batgirl and Barbara Gordon figures! -
Lucas Arts upcoming video game information leaked!
Zarkan replied to Tarfful's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Yesyesyes - Lego Indy and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull ON! These other new games sound great too - Clone wars on the Wii is so On, as is another Battlefront and KOTOR. The secret character in Soul Calibur? Eh, I still just see this as a quick way to make cash, nothing more. -
Well, I haven't seen the movie, but I read a review in a news magazine that said that the director wants to make a trilogy.

Okay, better get it out. Honestly, the color scheme is horendous. This isn't an insult, I'm just telling the truth. HOWEVER, the rest of the MOC is genius. All of the neat constructions like the feet, the legs - basically everything - is very original. I love the hands - they are pure ownage. I hope that you can make a better version that has better colors, because an awesome MOC like this deserves a cool color scheme as well.

Kopaka Nuva. HOWEVER, I can't open it until I mow the lawn tomorow, as I don't have quite enough money yet.

See Batbrick, I told you this looked like a great set! Thanks for the great review - looks like you've really gotten the whole scoop on this set. Robin Jetski ON!
-
I don't like the idea, honestly. I'd rather not see people naming their kids after inanimate objects - it kinda makes them seem less special, and might be a subject of peer pressure and teasing later in life. Now there's an idea. Manly names on!
-
Happy Birthday! I see you've gotten lego - very good!
-
Welcome to eurobricks! Don't worry about the prices too much- even if you start real small and only get small kits, it's still a great hobby. Especially because these days the vast majority of kits are well designed.
-
Er, I recently noticed that Starwars4J is now a Citizen again on Eurobricks. Was this intentional, and does this mean that he'll be back eventually? Just wondering - it came as kind of a shock to me.
-
This is really great! You really seemed to have captured the spirit of the new castle theme. Speaking of which - I actually made a couple of photocomics that went with the Castle reviews I wrote for eurobricks. Yours are far better though.

Incredible MOC. The detail is stunning - all that foilage and the rock walls are awesome. I love the apple tree in the old one, and the wooden wheel in the new one.

What is the weirdest place you build lego?
Zarkan replied to THE-FORCE's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well, recently I built a brand new Mutran and Vican set in the car while I was at my brothers baseball game. I usually just open the box and look at the instructions, but since I had nothing else to do I opened the bags and built it. Note that I only did this because Bionicle sets often don't have nearly as many tiny parts as system sets, so there was less of a hazard losing pieces in the car seat. -
Well, for space and mech builders, all the sets in the 2008 exo-force line are awesome - as they have tons of great parts like the new cheese slopes, curved wedges, and lots of other stuff. Also, the agents line this year is looking to be amazing for parts. There's tons of dark blue, black, and orange. And the smallest of the Indy 4 sets - the duel set - has a ton of awesome acessories for only 10 dollars.

Great trailer, and I think I hear some classic red-alert music mixed into the trailer music theme near the end. This looks like this may be just as good - if not better - than Command and Conquer 3. It's probably going to be even weirder than the first two red alerts, though - I see spider mechs, and Gamespot reported that the Soviets will be shooting bears out of cannons into enemy bases.
-
My friend, you are a master of 4-wide cars. It's fairly hard to make realistic vehicles in that small scale, but your models are so well done that it doesn't mattter. Awesome job!
-
Yeah, I think I already have an idea how to do it - I think what I might do is make the gear shield be more handheld, and attached in a different way to the new arm I'd give him. Also, while the curse may just have been on the brackets pre-2008, this year every kind of mold using the click joints has a potential to break.
-
Um, actually, that's a Piraka body - not Inika body armor. But yeah, I agree - the prototypes can shove it. The matoran especially - it's just a lame rehash of the 2006 matoran - with no new advancements at all. BTW, something strange has happened: I've rethought my buying plans this year, and it's possible I may try to get every canister set and matoran, plus Vultraz, Ignika, Icarax and Takanuva. It would be a big sacrifice, and I would probably not get any Agents, Starwars, City, or Mars Mission. Also, if I did this, I'd totally revamp the Toa Mistika with new weapons, masks, jets and armor, and would give Icarax a proper arm instead of that gear function stub he has. What do you guys think - should I do it?
-
A non-liscense them, of course! TLC's already proved with the new Agents line that they can make an awesome theme based on popular culture without actually buying a liscense to movies or televison shows. I'd love to see sets that take their cues from shows like Bonanza and many of the old cowboy classics. It would be fairly easy to do a great theme, and I sure hope it comes back!

Wow - another great set! Love the helicopter and the clever use of those Heavy Hauler pieces. Hm, I wonder if this is an exclusive? Probably is, considering that we haven't seen pictures until now.
