  1. Or maybe good topics are hidden by a lot of not so interesting topics... Anyway. Showing my moc in an exhibition is a thing that I would like to do. But I know that I'm Hinckley :-D It seems to be a very nice experience. Personnaly, I've got some familly members who want to see my layout after seeing my room with LEGO everywhere. I will organize a private exhibition. But there will be some VIP pass for EB members :-P ! I would like to see how the people who come are, looking at those mocs everywhere. I can imagine that it's a real pleasure when they look at your work, with the eyes full of stars...
  2. I hope that you will tell me the things that are not that great in my city mocs! (I hope to post some pics soon, just need some times and some sun...). It's always good to have some constructive critical.
  3. Thank for the review Doc! The only thing I like in this set is the small car. So I will not buy this set just for it! I really dislike those new planes, toooo bbiiiigggg! With this size, this cargo plane can carry just fiew things! What a shame! I think that the way TLC has made the wings is not very good... Like the rest of those big pieces... Just my thought. The positif point of this it's that it makes me saved some money :-D
  4. Hinckley, can you tell us the deadline for the official vote? I need some time for reflexion (2-3 days)... because there are a lot of entries and some are really nice! Congrat to all of the contestors, who make this poll so hard for the choice! :-D
  5. Nice contest with nice entries! My vote goes for Bonaparte. It's not because it's a French Boat, it's because I like the two weels on each sides. It's the first time that I see a boat moc with this kind of structure (ok, I admit that I have never try to find one!).
  6. So, for your attention, after posting in your Green Door Tavern topic, I add a reply here! The more I look at your "piece of street", the more I find that CC looks "strange" compared to your two Modular Mocs (MM). I mean, there is a very big difference of architecture between CC and MM. And the contrast seems more importante looking at your MM style. I mean, in new towns like Chicago, there are not so many different building styles. It's not like in Europe, where the melting pot of architecture is more visible, because of its history. I don't know if you will understand... CC looks like an anachronism if you want an US looking layout. But it's not a problem if you just want to mixe all the architecture. Now, you know my point of view!
  7. Great work Hinckley! The design of this Green Door Tavern is well detailed from the outside. The architecture smelles Chicago! The decals are great, I like them a lot! If I have one things to change, it will be those grey roof parts above the roud grey tiles. They are a little too straight. Maybe some more curved pieces would have look more appropriated...
  8. Happy Bday!
  9. What a great surprise, some interior furnitures! It lakes an open back to see all those details, without remooving the different levels... By the way, It's really a must have set!
  10. What a wonderfull set! I'mglad to see another "UCS City" set! This GG seems to be very nice! I like the fact that TLC gives this GG another architecture and color than CC and MS! I will buy it for sure! And I will try to downsize it of course! For the people who think that there are some interior details, it seems to me that there are stickers on windows to figure those details, because some curtains, never seen in any lego sets (yes I know, there were some in scala sets :-| ) Can't wait to be in march!
  11. Happy birthday Mr. Unicorn!
  12. An impulse set like that would be really great! Maybe too big parts for an impulse set, but it would be very nice. Note that I've photoshoped the satchel to make it black.
  13. Thanks everybody for the feedbacks! Well, I tried to use to the maximum the pieces from the original set, but I have to use some other part, in particular for the truck itself. Sorry I can't, you have asumed well :-) Thanks!
  14. I thought you are 35 and more :-D And yes, you can be young, whatever our age. Everything is in our mind.
  15. It's to make money: the radar takes a pic of the registration of the car if you drive too fast, then police send the infringment to the vehicule's owner, who has to pay this infringment and has also some points removed from its driving license. We have this in France.
  16. Happy birthday to you Corpreal, and to Mr. Tiger of course!
  17. I understand what you feel! I'm in a similar way. Because I have finished some buildings from the outside, but don't have made the furnitures. But I would like to post some pics from the finished version. So it's some unfinished buildings pics, but regularely, or a lot of pics from the finished versions in a same time *wacko* . Ansd the topic question is very good too. I don't know what is the best...

  19. Don't laugh, building a DUPLO model is harder than I though! I have built the bigger zoo set with the little girl of my sister's boyfriend. And it was not "so easy". The instruction is not as details as for System sets, it's not as "step by step", and with all the variation of colours and the trouble to recognize them in the instruction, it seems hard for a child to build a DUPLO set... And I don't remembered that DUPLO are as big! Anyway, back on topic... I bought Town Plan and a T-shirt from s@h, and the new postal sets and creator houses from my supermarket (they are the only new sets that they have put on shelves).
  20. Well, it was very interesting to read your interview. I known some things, but there are others that I didn't, like your Pirate love... And it seems that you are younger than I have though (even if I don't know your age, reading your interview makes me supposed that you are older than me for less than I have though initialy...). Anyway, it's always a pleasure to share my opinion about LEGO with you!
  21. I've bought the set 836 in a shop where I have seen old small sets 2 years ago. And for my work, I had to go near this little village, so I tooke some times to go to this shop. And tada! I found this very old set, my older LEGO set! It's in perfect condition. So I have discovered some new windows! I also bought the 6319 (palm, trees, flowers) and 6709, my first western set!
  22. Another layout, yes! I'm like BrickMiner, I really enjoy seeing layouts! Your city is not so big, but very well made: a downtown area, a suburb one with small houses, and some great details everywhere! We don't know where to look at! It's full of life, with funny touches. So, *y*
  23. An HP moc! It's not so often... What I like in your moc is seeing your vision of this shop. Because, if it's based on the book, evreybody has its own vision of it. And even if I probably will not see it exactly like this, it looks quite good for this shop. I will have a look to the evolution of your moc...
  24. Yes, this is the LEGO charming! No stairs in buildings, cars with just one minifig, all those things that make LEGO what it is... Thanks Yoda for your review! Those posts sets will be mine, but I will wait to find them in my supermarket, even if I have to wait 2 or 3 months, I know that I will save some money, so I will buy more LEGO :-D There are simple designed sets, but we don't need more: two nice litle sets that are not oversized and too expensive.
