Nice modular MOC lego2000! It's small yes, but well done too! So the size is not all with LEGO... And I like this way.
-
I'm like you for this point! Nice little layout! Great work with your construction site, it looks really realistic, with a really nice LEGO feeling! And this is the kind of action that I see at least once per week in my job, so I like it a lot *y* ! But such a big crane for such a tiny house..! :-D Nice to see another layout!

So after, Yoda, it's my turn to share with you some pics. For the fisrt wave, there are pics from Clermont-Ferrand (which is the historical town of the big tire manufacturer Michelin), the city where I have made studies during 3 years. Fisrt, some pics of Monferrand, the medieval part of the city: They used a lot of volcano stones, which give the building a very dark aspect like here: And the black cathedral (which is darker in real than in this pic) Here are pics from more original constructions: Here, it's from a town near Clermont-Ferrand, Royat, which is a thermal city. Some times ago, the rich Parisians came here to look after their rumatisms. So, for them, the architects built more parisian style houses... Here more modern style construction: It's a retro-style building here, I find it nice: And here, a really modern building, it's the new Art school, under construction, with it's boat feeling made in copper (which will become green in few years): Here, just a pic from a nice outodoormetal straicase. Nothing spectial, but I like it: And because Clermont-Ferrand is a land of volcanos, here you can see in the middle, the voclano which is used for the brand Volvic (a brand of water). It's not as green as like on the bottle, because the pic wasn't taken during the spring...: And finally a view on the Puy de D

And the "Castle" logo is not the same too... I never noticed the gobelin...

Good work Yoda, with all those Train&Town index. And for the train section, you forgot my review of the 9V version of 7898... :'-(

It's not US only, because I'm French :-D ! And KMOI, don't take *yoda* for me! In fact, in my Spongebob set, the cones are like alawys (it's the orange one in the pics from the first page of this topic). And I don't think that those cones are made especially for the castle boat, because I don't see why the utility of making a new mold for cones where some small teeth are in it! On the contrary, the design is worst, because you don't have the feeling that it's just one big tooth (cone+small tooth). Am I really the only one in theEB community with this kind of cones? I will call TCL maybe...

Yesterday, I was building my new sets the 2 new spongebob and the castle ship. When I was building this nice castle set, I found very strange white cone... And all the cones in that set are the same... Just look here: white: new mold orange: regular mold (old mold now?) It seems that TLC has made a new mold for this piece, which now looks more like a mega :-X than a regular LEGO one! I think that the reason is that you can do what you want with this piece without being in an "illegal construction" situation (like a cone with a 1x1 brick in top of it, which is "illegal"). Does anybody else have noticed this?

Whack-a-Fig Contest Semi-Final Round 2

:-P I'm happy to succed in this poll! Once again, good entries from everyone, and the choice will be as hard for the rest of the (friendly) competition! Thanks! -
Have fun with them :-D
-
The colors are great, in good proportion.
-
It seems that this tread will be hard too! There are nice entry here, and some other will come... Legocastlegirl, don't worry, your flower shop is great! And the use of the boat is not so strange, because things like boats or old carriages are used to make some floral compositions. So it's ok for me! And for the raised baseplates, I like them all. Well, they are not really cute by themselves, but they can be really great isf they are used in a good way.

Thanks for those pics! I will post some pics from Nancy and Clermont-Ferrand (this week end at last).

B-OV-2A So, finally, I've finished my latest city moc until the end of the contest: a lighthouse Some months ago, I bought the latest ResQ set with the base, with the idea of making on it a lighthouse. And now that I leave with my bricks and I'm rebuilding all my city, I have made it. And because I don't have curves pieces and the fact that you cannot put windows in them, and I don't want to spend all my bricks in a technical technic to have those curves, I decided to make it right, with an open back for playability and toshow the inside. So I made a simple structure. I just add some details in the "toplight" The interior has some sealife accessories in the case of... a table with a chair and a lamp for the gardian to live, and the ladder to go on top of the tower... On the base, I put a pontoon for boats, just few things not to make it too much. And some grass here and here. But there is a place where it grow up better... There is a legend on it, with a *skull* story... If you want to learn more about it, clic here, you will find a part of this legend...

Whoa, it's really nice! 8-

Thanks for this second review Paksu! The plane is really nice, even if it's short. And the hangar adds a lot in terme of design and playability. Really nice! +1 with me! And Paksu, if you will make your airport as describe, just show us some pics, it's always cool to see new mocs.
-
A cargo station would be very nice, with some small crane, a dock and a lot of accessories! Dream on...
-
A lighthouse would be great, a nice addition for the seaport...
-
Welcome Paksu! It's nice to see pics from this set! And more with a review! I didn't imagine the back like that... So I'm happy to have read your review! I really like those promo airline sets! But I don't fly (have never taken the plane...) So Sinner, your idea of a promo club can be very nice :-)
