Nice video! It's nice to see your beautiful trains in action! The moment that I prefer is when the trains are on the curved parts because they don't look like one part, but like some parts connected between each other. It's not veary easy to explain... (I don't know how to say it in french, so in english :-D !) Anyway! And the music add a fun note.

Thanks everybody! :-$ For my birthday, I didn't have any bricks! :'-( My parents didn't buy me any lego for a long time now! The exeption was the viking boat recently (3 years now...). But don't worry! I buy the sets myself! :-) So I bought me the new police station. It was on sale for 75

Happy Bday!

Nice to see a new layout! I really like your port area. The new port mixed with older sets look good. Your park is nice too. The only thing that I dislike is the jump section (bewteen the two skycrapers), because I have the giddiness! *wacko* ;-)

alex54 replied to Captain Green Hair's topic in LEGO Pirates
Congrats to the winner! *y* And congrats to all the contestor too! -
Nice little story! The background is simple but very effective. And the use of the scary face for the 3 minifigs but in a different vig is good! :-D It's really funny! *y* This is the kind of stuff that I like to see, small things that are not so hard to buid, but with good ideas which are well exploited and well executed too.

I'm like Yoda, I don't like this line, but there are just few parts that are really interesting, like the pony tail hair part, and the laptop part (first, I have thought that it was a book printed in its inside... :-D ) The new shark doesn't look that bad. But I don't understand why TLC puts an old one in the coastguard theme. I mean, using two molds for one things doesn't look like an economic strategy...

This advent calendar looks better than the 07 one (which I don't buy). I'm glad with it. It looks more civilian and not only police/firefightered, which is great. The small sets are nice, with new ideas (exept for the oven) and there are some interested pieces like ice cream, chiken leg, glass, trans black cones... It will be fun to open two sets per day this year, with the Castle advent calendar :-D !

Well, no event for me this year. I would have love to come, but I have other project those days which needs a lot of money and time (I'm buying my first appartment...) Hope to see you in 2009!

Thanks for your comments! The roof is the part that took me most of time for thi building. I wanted it not to be too straight on its "top corner". But I wanted it strong in its building too. It takes me some houres...

Layout, B-OM-9C to B-OM-9E So its time for me to write a new chapter to my city story Finally, I didnt do a 2007 layout. I didnt have the time for that and I had a lot of project for my town With the Caf Corner, all my vision of doing LEGO has changed! I hesitated between the modular building and the classic style. But my heart couldnt decide. So I have try to mix them. I have kept the Technic connection between all my modules, and try to make some more detailed building, all in a more classic size, with an opened back to see whats in the buildings. Building Caf Corner gives me a lot of building experience. I think that I have learned a lot about the different technique of constructions. I hope that I will have the time to make a 2008 layout (I do!). But before, I want to share with you some pics of my modules: Here my town hall: A building beside my smaller CC. The shop at the ground floor will probably be a bakery: Here a grocery and a florist: Here my library and a pub: Here two town houses. Maybe you will recognize something The tan house is built in a art nouveau style, which we have in Nancy. Just not the chimney, looking like a flower Here, my Bank Corner: Here my latest project. I have in mind to modify the Cinema from Town Plan, to make it more personal, with proportions similar to my other modules. Just note that its the first version, dont take in account the yellow parts (they are used just to not mix others bricks from the original set, until the design will be validated by myself!). But I want to keep its architecture, which is really great. And now, a bird view of what my down town will look like: More pics here. Now I have to work on the interiors. And after, I will do the suburb area, and after I need to work on some boats and cars, and after... Could someone stop the time for me please? X-D

Thanks for the birdviews! I like to have an overall view of a layout, with some closer views. You've got a nice layout! Even if your buildings are more detailed than the classic lego sets, your layout has a classic feeling. There are so many things to look for. And the guided tour is an excelent idea to show us your town! The stickers are well done and are used right. I mean there are not so many of them and they are applied where we need them. It's funny to see how you have made your own version of official sets or parts of sets, like the garbage truck, or the toilets for the building site :-D Maybe you have done them before TLC... Great work!

Wow! What a great idea for the use of this baseplate! So, the stickers from the hospital set are very well integreted here! Your park is well done, very chaming. I like the two pics "without" and "with" minifigs. We can really see the difference between a closed parck and an alive one!

Nice car, even if it's a 6-wide one :-D ! The spirit of the realmodel is well done *y* I really like the way you use the binoculars! The only things that is missing are some chrome parts. But the grey pieces that you ahve used don't exist in chrome, so... Oh well, it's a small detail...

Well it seems that no one has congratulate Johnny War! So congrat to you! *y* And a *y* for all the members who have entered this nice contest (thanks Hinckley for that!) And a big thank you for all the members who have voted for me! :'-)

I know, I know X-D There are few modification between the official postvan and yur version, but yours looks more finished to me. And the other car is great too. It looks like an older, a previous version of the official van. *y*

Nice trucks! I especially like the gaz tanker. Having some trucks for a layout is very important, they brings some life in the street. Good work. Now, we are waiting for the whole city and trucks pictures!

Me too! And Hinckley too! It's a mistake, but a good one! :-D

Well, I'm unsure but I've got the two sets, so... :-D Those two sets are really differents from everything. They are two philosophies of the brick. I think that I will go with CC,because I have learn so much with this set! My building skill has grown with it just in a few days! No other set gives me this feeling of "master of the brick"! It's definitively a great set which is already a legend in TLC story. TP is another fantastic set. The gaz station looks so much better than the other octan versions. And the cinema is a great addition, and a think that TLC has never done before. Personnaly, the CC buildings are too big for me, so I prefer the TP scale. But size is not really a matter with LEGO!

Damned Yoda! Because of your new pic, I need to rewatch all the 3 first seasons of SB, because this building looks unknown... I know that we see an hospital, but I can't remember how it looks and in which episode it is shown... Maybe I'm not a real SB fan... :'-( The think that I dislike is the limited edition... Just hope to see in a next set the old people's home with the two old super heroes mermaidman and "I don't know his english name"... SB on!
