LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!

Yeah, the small Duel sets would be a welcome return. Something I also really liked about sets like Duel on Naboo or the Starkiller base duel is that they were cheap that you could buy multiple of them to create a larger set. Another duel you could do would be a Yoda vs Sidious set complete with a senate pod (and podium). -

Yeah, I remember when they were 9.99 - great pocket money/stocking filler for Christmas type thing. I’ve said it before but I do think we’re missing that range of good < $50 sets. Looking back (only 6-7 years ago) at some of the sets coming out, you had things like Duel on Naboo, Duel on Mustafar, Yoda’s hut, the Hoth Medical Bay, the Ach To set, the landspeeders from the Solo film, I think you even had a small Mos Eisley Cantina set. There was a healthy balance of expensive and affordable sets. I think there definitely has been a shift in the age demographics of people buying Lego - something that’s been reflected in their products. -
Yeah, I think the recent Dumbledore's office was good but it omitted quite a few details like the portraits, the spiral staircase, the cabinet containing all the pensive memories etc.

Yes, I think those themes have struck a good balance between "regular" (for lack of a better term) sets and buildables/figures/microscale etc. sets. That would be a really good idea. It would essentially be combining the Ewok Village and the Battle of Endor set into one. Throw in some speeder bikes, an AT-ST etc. I think It's been 10 years since we've seen an Endor Han too. -
Got into model railways again after a few years. Received some Hornby stuff over Christmas.

Yeah, this sounds like one of the largest Hogwarts sets we're going to get so I really hope Lego go all out. I could see them potentially putting the Ravenclaw common room in a future set but I do hope we get the Gryffindor and Slytherin ones at the very least. Has there been any hint on what else might be included? I know in the films Dumbeldore's office is located in the tower (on one of the mini towers that protrudes of the roof).

I think the 40 minifigures could make sense. If you take the 25 from the 2016 version as a sort of starting point you can then add: - Admiral Motti - Hurst Romodi - Admiral Yularen - Shann Childsen - Moff Jerjerrod - Sim Aloo (Palpatine’s advisor) - Janus Greejatus (Advisor) - Sate Pestage (Advisor) - Krennic (assuming Rogue One stuff is included) That would take you to 34 figures. Throw in 2 extra Stormtroopers and two extra Royal Guards would take you to 38 figures. And then if you added two extra Death Star technicians or 2 extra gunners you have 40 figures. -

Yeah, the Freemakers sets and indeed the Yoda Chronicles sets also came with some pretty cool figures too. YC gave us the first(?) Ithorian mould and the first RA-7 protocol droid. And Freemakers gave us characters like Dengar and Quarrie. I do think RTG could have followed a little more in those themes’ footsteps and given us SW alien we haven’t seen before like a Bothan or something. Or a character we haven’t seen in a while like Zam Wessell or Count Dooku or whatever. -

Yeah same, I wish they’d redo Captain Rex as well. I must admit I never cared that much for the pirates that much in Clone Wars but Mando (and especially Skeleton Crew) had me much more invested in them. I do have my doubts about any more sets as well. Reading the figure list for the MTT sort of makes me wish it was based of TPM instead. As well as the droids we could’ve got Boss Nass, Captain Panaka, Padmé etc. -

The AT-AT driver helmet has leaked. I’ve never been that into the helmets but it does look really good. -

Yeah, in 2013(?). They included him in an A Wing fighter. And like you said, any single fighter/Rebel Captial ship based of the ROTJ could include Lando. And they've always had habit of putting characters into vehicles they didn't feature in (Queen Amidala in the Gungun sub comes to mind). Yeah I'd love that if they ever went back to polybag figures. I suppose they could do a the main pirate ship with Brutus, Jon with his mask, SM-33 and some ppirates. They could even do the Spa/underground temple from episode 5 if they wanted. -

Yes, one of the reasons I loved Skeleton Crew was because they included a lot more aliens. I’m still hoping we get a Captain Brutus figure at some point. -

Yeah that's what I'm thinking too. Or maybe something like a rebuild the galaxy Luke's landspeeder? (Never seen the show so I'm not sure what vehicles they could do). -

Yeah, this is similar to my experience. To Lego’s credit they’ve definitely tried to expand their reach beyond the usual AFOL target demographic and it’s worked really well. Things like the buildable helmets, buildable figures, even the diorama sets do really appeal to people who aren’t usually into Lego far more than play sets do. And you see that in other themes too like Harry Potter and Marvel. -

Yeah, I’m not quite sure why he was omitted. I think he was used pretty openly in the trailers and everything. I really enjoyed Skeleton Crew so I’m hoping we can get some more sets out of it. -

I would think it would be something ROTS related maybe? Given it’s the 20th anniversary and they did a TPM anniversary one last year. A mini diorama (similar to the Lars Homestead Kitchen) depicting the battle of the heroes would be fun. -

Yes, I’m surprised that even 20 years on we still don’t have set depicting the Anakin and Obi Wan vs Dooku. It’s one of the few lightsaber fights that’s never been done before. -

Yeah, the line has always had sub themes (microfighters/planets/buildable figures etc.) but we’re at a stage where it feels like it’s skewering one way to the point where we’re not getting many playsets. -
Great game everyone! It was fun playing mafia again.

Yes, from 2012-2014 we had some solid waves of Clone Wars/Prequels sets that weren’t just Clone based. Palpatine’s arrest/Duel on Geonosis/Anakin’s Jedi Interceptor - just to name a few. -

The UT-AT sounds exciting. I’m assuming it would come with a new Ki-Adi-Mundi. If it is the latter I could see them including the reactor core tunnel - possibly with a micro Falcon, some X wings, a TIE fighter etc. Perhaps a micro throne room and hanger bay as well. -

They could include some of the Emperor’s advisors but even then I can’t see them being hugely desirable. Yeah, whilst we haven’t seen the full list yet it but it does feel like we’re missing that range of good < $50 sets. At that price, the Death Star should be able to destroy planets! I’m guessing they may have microscale recreation of the reactor run. -
A late flip is tempting but I just fear with only 5 players a wrong lynch could be game over.
