  1. Very mixed feelings about the AC. Looks as though they’ve gone for a bit more of a Harry Potter approach as I think this is the first year we don’t have any micro builds of the ships/vehicles but rather builds for the workshop. Some nice things in there like Ahsoka’s droid and B2. A part of wishes they’d included a TPM or AOTC C3PO rather than the ROS one but I suppose this one fits a bit better in the context of the calendar.
  2. Yeah, I preferred it better when they included things builds and accessories that could be incorporated into sets. They’ve could have maybe done some builds related to the Gryffindor common room considering the upcoming Tower set or something like that.
  3. Yeah that Bo Peep figure looks great and I like that they’ve done Buzz’s spaceship box as well. I don’t mind the train or the car but I do hope we get some non 4+ sets when TS5 rolls out.
  4. I think it’s based of the one at the Warner Studio Tour so the films I’m assuming.
  5. @ArrowBricks Very well put and I agree. I think we do need to see some more affordable but still detailed and large sets. Mon Calamari Home One Star Cruiser - (149.99) Admiral Ackbar, Mon Calamari Rebel Officer, Mon Mothma, Lando, Crix Madine, 2 Home One Rebel Officers. Invisible Hand - (199.99) Could include the cockpit, fight are fore Dooku vs Anakin and maybe a detachable escape pod of some kind? Figures could be Grevious, 2 Magna guard droids, battle droid pilot, 2 regular battle droids, Anakin Skywalker, Obi Wan Kenobi, Count Dooku, Chancellor Palpatine, R2-D2. Hoth Echo Base - (199.99) Basically a proper Echo base (unlike 2016 which only focused on the doors) including a control room, Taunton stable, area for a Snowspeeder, medical bay etc. Han Solo, Leia, Luke (bacta tank), Luke (Hoth gear), Luke (Snowspeeder gear), Dak Ralter, General Rieeken, K3PO, 4 Rebel troopers, Toryn Farr. Similar to what you’ve said, I’ve been think a bit about the upcoming Death Star. In the Harry Potter line they have the large D2C Diagon Alley and Gringotts on shelves but they have a small and more affordable range of Diagon Alley sets coming out that can be put together. I’m wondering if they might do something similar with the DS. Like you have the DWC one on shelves but you also have a range of smaller sets on shelves as well depicting specific rooms/scenes that can be combined together or something.
  6. Yes that could be quite fun. Or you could have calendars based of certain trilogies (Originals/Prequels/Sequels) or a calendar based of all the animated shows (CW/Rebels/TBB) etc. Even versions of existing characters (Like Endor Han or TLJ Leia) would be pretty cool. I feel like Mon Mothma would be a good choice for an Advent Calendar still insane we have got an updated version of her yet.
  7. Yes, I’ve always hoped for more obscure figures in the calendars. I think the 2016 one came with U-3PO? And the 2013 one came with a Young Boba Fett (who at the time had not appeared since 2002). It would be nice to get more characters who wouldn’t usually appear in sets. I’m really not sure what to make of that Turbo Tank wheel. Someone’s posted a comparison photo and the 2016 and 2010 versions look so much better.
  8. Yeah, correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think we got any Hogwarts sets based off GOF/OOTP/HBP in the last previous 2021-2023 system. I suppose there were the banners and the moments sets but they were their own thing. I’m wondering what they might tackle next: Viaduct Entrance - COS based? Clocktower - POA based Bell towers and long gallery - GOF? Astronomy Tower - HBP I’m just spitballing here. Not sure what they would do for OOTP.
  9. The Tower looks excellent. Love that we finally have a common room with the Fat Lady this time. The Dormitory is a little simple but I’m glad they’ve included it with the common room. Dumbledore’s office is that surprises me most - it’s a lot more detailed than I would’ve expected it to be. I can’t wait to see what this looks like next to the Great Hall.
  10. I could see them doing something like this. So just the "H" and the "P" rather than the whole logo. But yeah, I would be a fan of a logo set.
  11. It definitely sounds like they’re looking at a very blurry photo. I could see how a UT-AT and the Zillo Beast gun could be confused with one another. I don’t think it would make much sense with the Galactic Marines would it? My money is still on it being the Turbo Tank.
  12. Both projects sound really fun. I’m hoping the Maul show will get sets but I won’t hold my breath. I’m hoping they really go all out with Starfighter - give us some really good new ships.
  13. Yeah, the Rebuild the Galaxy stuff is fun. It’s got that balance of LEGO wackiness but also uses familiar designs. There was a time when LEGO used to include alternate designs on the back of the Star Wars boxes - would be fun to bring those back.
  14. Great work! The Cairo one has to be my favourite.
  15. I agree. Whilst I do think it would have been nice to have a completely new set this year, I do really like the Turbo Tank. The last version came out 9 years ago so it’s not like we’ve been getting bombarded by the vehicle either. Yeah, I think 10/15 years ago we could have gotten both the UT-AT and the Turbo Tank in the same year/wave. But with all the buildable figures and other 18+ sets it just isn’t going to happen.
  16. I’m not sure I would agree with Star Wars. The Dark Falcon for example has some pretty great figures that could be adapted into someone’s collection. Harry Potter also has a good variation of characters and since the sets are only based of the 8 films of course there’s inevitably going to be repeats.
  17. Those Cadet figures look excellent. A shame the build wasn’t better but I do want to pick that up.
  18. All the sets look pretty good. I’m liking the Brickheadz though I feel like Obi Wan would’ve made more sense than Padme given he fights both Anakin and Grievous.
  19. Careful, you’ll give George Lucas ideas for 50th anniversary Special Edition re-release A page from the instruction manual has been leaked and it looks as though you can get 5 figures in there. Nice to see there’s a lot of space.
  20. That Tanitive scene is hilariously bad. You’d think they would remember the Devastator is meant to be much larger.
  21. As said above I think the Viaduct entrance could work. You could include the Slytherin common room with Malfoy, Harry/Goyle and Ron/Crabbe. Then you could do Myrtle’s bathroom and the Chamber underneath built into the base. Maybe Lockhart’s office as well?
  22. That’s interesting. It’ll obviously be downsized but I think it could be fun. Apparently the ISD chasing the Tanitive IV scene will be included inside the logo set somehow? Which I assume explains what the lever is for that was mentioned in some of the leaks. Looking forward to seeing more pictures of the set.
  23. Bricks Up is saying £59.99. I think the U-Wing looks great. The logo looks pretty much what you’d expect it to be. I recall someone saying there was a lever for a function so I’m wondering what that could be for.
  24. The tower does look good even through the position of the mirror is a little odd. Depending on how tall the mirror was they could have included some space at the base for it to slide out or something. That said I really like the inclusion of the common room and the dormitory next to it. The common room seems to be biggest room of the set so hopefully there’s a lot of detail there. Glad to finally see the return of the three spires protruding of the top of the tower too. There seems to be a blue ornament(?) of some kind at the very tip of the tower - not sure what that is supposed to represent.
  25. Yes, there appears to be one on the right side of the plaque. I can’t make out the image but I’m assuming there would be a dispensing feature. Set looks fantastic.
