LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!

I think there’s the protocol droid headpiece and the Gungan/Jar Jar headpiece(?) but otherwise I can’t think of anymore. -

So if I’m understanding correctly it’s something along the lines of this? I really don’t know. Between so many of the figures being under detailed/lacking dual moulded legs and the design of the set itself it sounds like it could be a big misfre. Yeah, the whole appeal is that it looks like a sphere. I think I would have preferred an updated version of the 2016 version or just a display model like others have suggested. As far as an updated 2016 model goes, they could have made the model slightly larger, added some more figures like they did here: Palaptine’s advisors, Krennic, Erso, Motti, Tagge etc. and updated existing ones and maybe added an exterior layer that could be removed - all while keeping the set at a more reasonable price point. -

Yes, looks like there could be 1 more. Plus if Luke and Han come with helmets that’s also two more. Now we just need Grindelwald, Le Chiffre, Kaecilius, and Jurgen Voller -
A ghost vote? Are there ghosts on this boat? I haven't yet finished polishing my cannons.

It's a shame about the lack of dual modeled legs here. In a much, much cheaper set it would have been more forgivable but in a $1000 set every minifigure should really be perfect. Great to finally see a Galen Erso figure. Is that the outfit he wears on Eadu? Nice to also see the inclusion of Motti and Tagge here. Looks like we've also got Sim Aloo here although they've just called him a generic dignitary. -

That looks fantastic. So many good details and I also think it surpasses the original set. Looks like you even get the cockroach as well! -

That RA-7 droid looks great. I don’t think the older versions of the figure had head printing did they? -
Yeah the Hospital Wing must mean the Clock Tower. I’m guessing this is going to be a POA based set - though they might even throw in some elements of CoS given Harry was in there during the film. I’m guessing the cauldron set will actually be a cauldron which opens up to reveal the potions classroom. The sorting hat set sounds like it could be similar to the Duelling Club set. Something that can be added to the Great Hall maybe? Great that we’re finally getting Luna’s house.

Skeleton Crew as well! I need SM-33 and Captain Brutus. -
Is it worth mass tagging people? Maybe they haven’t seen the topic?

Having seen Solid Brix’s review that CTT is pretty poor. In some way it feels like Juniors/4+ set that got upgraded to a regular set at the last minute or something. -
Count me in!

Yeah, especially from Return of the Jedi. It would be nice to get some of Papatine's advisors like Sim Aloo and Janus Greejatus. Moff Jerjerrod too (can't remember whether we've had him before). -

Looks like we’ve had our first Death Star leak. I think that’s Krennic’s torso right? -

It’s a shame they’ve modelled Slave I off the 2021 version and not the 2019 one which was far superior. Although Lama Su does look really good. The CTT isn’t bad but it looks way too small. One of the previous versions was able to fit a walker inside it IIRC, I don’t think you could do that here. -

Yeah I'm surpised they didn't do a one off anniversary diorama. Anakin vs Obi Wan would have been perfect for something like that. Vader's transformation would have also been pretty fun too. Like if they want to do Clone sets fine but they could've had at least ONE set with the main characters in it! With the really expensive Death Star coming out I wonder if they might do a more affordable, smaller one for the 50th. Yeah the more I look at the small Slave 1 I just wish they'd done it in the style of the 2019 Slave as oppose to the 2021 one. Does make me wish we'd got the Invisible Hand instead. -

Yeah, whilst I do think the sets are good it feels like key stuff was missed here. The Battle of the Heroes, Greivous vs Kenobi, Dooku vs Anakin and Obi Wan, Yoda vs Palpatine (the latter two have never been done before). Agreed, balance is key here. I think the Harry Potter theme for example has done that pretty well. They have their 18+/D2C sets like The Burrow/Diagon Alley, they have the more abstract sets like buildable Dobby/the bookends etc. and they have a good line of regular sets too. And the regular sets range from pocket money priced sets like the Flying Ford Anglia to the much larger sets like the Main Tower and Great Hall. It’s been mentioned before how Lego used to have a really good range of <50 sets which have disappeared over the last 5ish years. Now granted the amount of SW content dwarfs HP so maybe the comparison is unfair but you get what I’m saying. -

Yes, one thing we’ve really been missing lately is that <£50 range of sets. You also had Vader’s transformation and the Hoth Medical bay. -

Those sets do look very good. TCW Obi Wan looks excellent as does Ventress. Love the inclusion of Lama Su in Slave I. It seems to be a slightly upscaled version of the 2021 version. It looks alright but I do think the best version of the Slave I was the 2019 20th Anniversary one (excluding the UCS versions). I wish they’d gone down that route instead. The Snowspeeder looks kind of fun. It’s hilarious how we’ve waited years for a new cockpit piece and then when it finally comes out it’s in yellow . On the plus side I suppose when we do get a regular Snowspeeder it will feature the new piece. -

We have to get Lonni Jung on the case. I’m happy with that 327th figure, it looks good. -

I thought Andor was great. I do wish Season 2 was longer though, it felt like at times they obviously had to cut a lot of stuff since the show was initially meant to be 5 seasons long. -
Could Simpsons line of Minifigure series or Sets return?
Tariq j replied to Vitruvius's topic in LEGO Licensed
Should be on Instagram I think. If you type #legosimpsons. Yeah it's great that it bends in rather seamlessly with the previous two sets. -
2008-2015 was like a golden age for the theme in my opinion but my favourite would probably be 2013 or 2015. 2015 had a great mix of sets - mainly from TFA and Rebels but we also has some great gems too like Slave 1, the Shadow trooper BP, the Imperial Shuttle,, the Final Duel (which came with the new Vader piece), Anakin’s starfighter from the old CW series. It felt like there was something for everyone. 2013/2014 both had a good rosters of sets. I think it was also a great period because CW was winding down and Rebels didn’t start until late 2014. So it gave them a few waves revisit a lot of stuff they hadn’t done in a while. The focus on AOTC was appreciated given the film hadn’t seen many sets since 2002. I think it was also the last year we got any Old Republic stuff. 2014 also gave us the Cantina, the wheel bike and the Star Destroyer which again, we hadn’t seen for a good few years. It’s hard to pick the worst. I don’t remember being really interested in many of the 2019 sets. But that’s mostly my preference rather than the quality of the sets themselves. I do think the Anniversary wave could have been a lot stronger.
