Why is LEGO so obsessed with Batman?
Tariq j replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
The Dark Knight Rises grossed over 1 billion dollars in 2012. I would hardly call that fatigue. As to your question, it’s the same reason why City pulls out Fire and Police sets every year or why there are lots of Spider-Man sets. They sell well. -
Well here we are. Uhura still hasn't responded to me. All I can say us when I flip town tomorrow go after him and McCoy. I bet my hat they are the last scum.
-
I am town. Uhura still hasn’t responded even to me over the concerns I’ve raised. By lynching me you’re practically giving the scum this win. If you lynch me today that leaves 5 members left. Two of which will be Romulans. It only takes a mis lynch for the scum to win. Trust me when I say this: Lynch Uhura, him and McCoy must be the last scum. Chapel being scum doesn’t seems likely. Mccoy and Mallory, possibly Mallory and Scotty but I don’t know. It will be miserable. For the sake of the town (and Scotty’s brain) I urge you all to reconsider your votes here. Not just go for the easiest bandwagon.
-
Argh curse this heatwave! I meant Uhura not Scotty.
-
That’s fair enough. All I can say is you should look at Mccoy and Scotty because they are the ones who are scum. Almost every day so far McCoy has almost been lynched always for the attention to move elsewhere. He would’ve probably been lynched yesterday had the other shenanigans not happened. And on top of everything else I’ve mentioned there’s Uhura’s wacky logic “I think these people are scum but I’m going to use their logic and vote for someone else”
-
This makes no sense. You admit yourself you think that Mallory and Chapel are the scum yet you vote for me, based of Chapel’s logic. A person YOU think his scum.
-
I don't what to do here. Uhura's weird post about "I'm not scum because I don't behave like one his weird" that and his "I work a lot behind the scenes in these games". Which, as Nurse Chapel pointed out is also strange since its only scum who can PM behind the scenes. Vote: Uhura: (chromeknight)
-
I know I’m the third person to call this out. But this doesn’t make sense. What outcomes would a Romulus push for in a game with no night actions? We’ve already lynched three Townes. Is that an outcome a Romulo would hope for? It’s just a weird thing to say “If I was scum, I’d behave like one”. Scum behave like town to fit in. Your post is insightful but I don’t agree with all of it. I think you and Scotty have been helpful in trying to hunt the scum. Sure it doesn’t look great that me and Uhura haven’t interacted at all. But what can I say? If Uhura hasn’t found me scummy he hasn’t found me scummy. Interactions with Chekhov? I barely interacted with him yesterday. The only time I interacted with him was that vote thing at the beginning. It was EVERYONE else voting with for him that cause him to die. Chekhov was going nuts yesterday. But don’t try and spin it like I was the one who got him lynched. Your whole post seems to suggest Uhura is scum. Yet you cast your vote on me. Why? Why are you slightly more suspicious of me than Uhura? McCoy deals is the suspicion is now on Chekhov and myself, so he he quickly votes for Chekhov and makes off. All the prior accusation against him are now forgotten and he gets off. He seems to have flown under the radar here a lot. As has Uhura. They both have.
-
It’s not the fact he did it that it was a problem. It’s the fact he made a big deal out of it. Stating that “he wasn’t a fan” of the Kyle lynch. I wasn’t unhappy with the Chekhov lynch. I just felt Mccoy was a better choice.
-
Your taking the quotes out of context slightly. The first thing you quoted is my response when Mallory asked me as to why I didn’t attack Chekhov when he voted for me. At that point in the game (when Chekhov first placed his vote on me) he had done nothing to arouse my suspicion). So I didn’t attack him. It was only until his shenanigans later in the day occurred. I realised something wasn’t right. Can I come out of my trailer now? See above. He hadn’t said anything scummy in my eyes for the first 2 days. Simply put. McCoy seemed scummier. I pointed out Chekov’s defence of McCoy on Day 1. McCoy nicely slipped of the radar yesterday and was happy to attack me and Chekov. Chekhov stated that I cast the “key vote”. That and Captain Kirk got the votes the wrong way out so it confused me too. That’s was my fault for getting that wrong.
-
I interpreted it as the accusation was that both me and McCoy are scum. But I had voted for Kyle hammering his bandwagon hence why he voted for me. For reasons I stated earlier I’m going to Vote: Commander McCoy (Umbra Manis)
-
Hey, no worries . Honestly I’m going nuts with what’s happening now. Just what? Your play today makes no sense. I don’t know whether this is an attempt to try and divert/split the Lynch away from McCoy here? It’s worth noting that on Day 1 (see above) Chekhov was the first person to jump on to Spock for going after McCoy. Looking back now it feels like a subtle defence of his scum buddy. He then asks why Kyle (who we now was town) was not the best choice for a bandwagon. I can’t see these posts coming from a townie perespective. He’s literally defended one of the most scummy players here (McCoy) and encouraged a lynch on someone we now know is town. The vote on himself feels like a last minute ditch attempt to make himself look Town.
-
I know you have. And I’ve read the rest of the day. I know exactly what’s gone on. Your logic is based of the fact that Chekhov’s vote for me regard me AND McCoy being scum. And I responded saying that people can vote for me if it focuses attention McCoy. And then Chekhov responds saying my response seemed perfectly normal. It’s odd. Chekhov’s response is weird. But he’s not my scum buddy. I’m not scum. I have NO idea why he responded like that and thought my response was weird whilst calling his own logic nonsense, My best guess his he’s trying to stitch me up. Apologies, it’s the way it was said. McCoy made something of a definite statement. “I’m not really a fan of the Kyle lynch” it feels more... solid. Like he was trying to draw attention to the fact that he wasn’t voting for Kyle. Where as with Chekhov it was more of a deliberation. As for my suspicions. My top suspicions are Chekhov, I didn’t suspect him initially but his attempt to stick me up or whatever the hell he has tried to do here has changed my mind. McCoy, based of what he said at the end of yesterday. He’s also gone on the attack now he’s noticed the attention has been taken away from him.
-
It’s not BS. My point is I know I’m Town. If Chekhov wants to vote me out me out fine, all I’m saying is it’ll allow time to focus on the rest of the players. What? I never voted for Uhura? Why should I attack him? He hasn’t said anything scummy or at least anything of interest that I consider scummy.

LEGO Star Wars 2019 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

Those look really good. And the leg printing seems to match up a lot better with the torso printing compare to previous figures. -
If you have a suspicion about me. Vote for me. I’m going to use the same expression as you here. I’m Town. This is why I didn’t respond to Chekov’s vote earlier. If it gets me out of the way to focus on scummier players like McCoy then I’m fine with that. Where have my voting habits been unusual? I voted for Spock because of his incredibly scummy behavour on Day 1 and I voted for Kyle because of the way he behaved on Day 1. I can see I was wrong on both days. But then so was everyone else. I also come from the future. (Though not quite as far ahead) hence why I’m also not hugely in sync with everyone else.
-
Correct. But there were two choices of lynch yesterday. McCoy and Kyle. Kyle seemed the more suspicious of the two based of his previous actions. Hence I went for him. As I’ve said, I’ve appreciate it seems like I’ve flown under the radar a bit. But that’s sheen down to other commitments. This bugs me. A lot. McCoy states he is not a fan of the Kyle lynch whilst voting for Uhura. To me (playing a bit of WIFOM here) he said this so he can then say the next day “oh look guys, I didn’t want to join that Bandwagon! Guess that makes me town”.
-
I apologies if it seems I’ve been hiding under the radar. Been very busy navigating our course making sure we don’t bump into any asteroids. The split in the vote feels deliberate. The issue is we have no evidence or night actions. So our suspicions and votes are entirely of what people have said (or not said). At present I’m more suspicious of Kyle given his sheepish votes for McCoy both today and yesterday. He was trying to make a something out of nothing. As others have done. Vote: Kyle (KotZ) If Kyle is scum then I think the last scum will be one of the three votes on McCoy for trying to prevent the Lynch. And likewise if McCoy is scum then I think one of the scum is one of the votes on Kyle. I agree with Nurse Chapman and I don’t think McCoy and Kyle are both scum but there’s a small possibility they could both be town and the scum could be on both bandwagons. Trying to stop the lynch they get a night kill.
-
Silence? Silence is what Spock was going after because he was so keen to Lynch someone so early on. I’ve been looking at that. Both Mallory and Scott switched their votes from Kyle to Spock. Though neither of them seem particularly scummy so far. That said, Mallory said this at the end of Day One: In theory what he’s saying is true. The more we talk, the more we gain. But it comes across as a bit “oh hey, thank god we didn’t all go after McCoy cause that would have been a disaster, good thing everyone voted for Spock instead!” I Dunno this guy’s a tricky one. That’s a typo. I meant to say Spock. Spock was not helping himself yesterday.
-
All the yellow shirts have copied my style. I’m the best looking of course. I’ve given some analysis there. As I said earlier, Scott’s vote effectively guaranteed the lynch. In all honesty I don’t think Scott helped himself at all there. The votes built up on him quickly. Mallory switched to him pretty quickly though he hah scrutinised my him earlier.
-
Well this sucks. Looking back at yesterday's vote pattern: Chapel places the first vote on Spock. His reasoning being that Spock has not given valid reasons as to why he voted for McCoy. Chekov then voted next. Based on the fact Spock didn't seem to be answering his questions. The reasoning feels a little weaker here. Next up is McCoy. Again he votes Spock because of his floundering votes. Mallory comes win next. There's not a whole lot of analysis here. But he has kept to his word by going after Kyle. Then there's myself. I'll admit there's not a whole lot of analysis from me either. However at this point Spock was all over the place his play was scummy and he seemed the best choice. Lastly there's Scott. Who effectively guarantees the lynch (I.e. if someone had unvoted in the last few hours of the game the lynch would have still gone forward.)
-
So you were basically playing the field so to speak. Rather than give a clear viewpoint you've thrown your suspicions around a bit here. You vote for Ensign, then you vote for Mcoy, then you state why scott has been unhelpful. I'm sorry. That'll be fixed pronto. Based on his behaviour I'm going to unvote: Hinckley (Commander Scott) vote: Trekkie99 (Commander Spock)
-
Vote: Hinckley (Commander Scott) For making a joke vote based on a previous game. He’s admitted it’s a half hearted vote. But as. Not sure whether that’s to be believed.

The chap who designs James Bond’s gadgets? And now someone’s suggesting his boss? We’ll need an ejector seat at this rate.
