Where to get a good custom Ki-Ai Mundi?
Spyder replied to Dennimator's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
According too the preliminary pic of the Clone Turbo tank coming out next year, she's in the set. Anyways, I've seen that Ki-Ai-Mundi before, and I've always wondered how he makes the head. Does he make it from scratch, or does he add to a regular head? -
REVIEW : 8075 Neptune Carrier
Spyder replied to daoudbazaar's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
A really great set, and a really great review for it. I hope I'll be able to pick this up along with the new Prince of Persia sets. -
Another promotion? Congrats. So who's gonna be licensed regulator now?
-
Darn, how come there has to be all these great new releases next year? Toy Story, Prince of Persia, Atlantis, and the new Star Wars sets. Just seeing some of the figs, I know I have to collect this line. Even if the new sets are lame, I'm still going to buy them for the figs and accessories.

Great review Matn, I'm definitely going to get this set, maybe even two of 'em! I agree with you about the smaller sets being the best, although the Neptune Carrier looks good. BTW, you have the left propeller casing on backwards. (Judging from the box.)

Something that's really disappointing to me is that so far the Star Wars sets don't have numbered bags. (Even the huge death star set didn't have them) Hopefully though, in 2010, the sets will have numbered bags, the Tie Defender does.

The first game was simply amazing, as already said, it was better than any other superhero game. I can't believe there's already a trailer for the second game. I'm excited, I just don't want the game to seem crappy and like the designers rushed it while playing the game.

I love the new eyes, I feel it brings a whole lot more realism to the minifigure. The problem is the change itself. Just like the fleshies don't look good alongside the yellows, the new eyes look weird with the old eyes. Same with the grey/bley issue. Lego needs to make all their minifigs alike. All new eyes, or all old eyes. Like I said, it's the change that really makes me angry.

You used Gimp for that!?! It's amazing! I'm terrible at GIMP, I didn't even know you could do stuff like that on it. How do you change an object's color?

These games sound great, but do you know if they will be available to the US?
-
Simply stunning. Every ship you build is full of MINI techniques that I would never think of in a million years. Is there really any ship you haven't built?

Absolutely amazing work LegoStein. I'm pretty sure he's already made the clawcraft, but I doubt he's made that Starviper, it looks really tricky. (You gonna except my challenge or what, I want to see that cool Starviper in Lego form. )

Great work on the motorization, I know I could never do that. And just to let you all know, it is possible to motorize it just with LEGO Power Functions.
-
Yes, but they copied the design, and maybe the basic brick patents have expired, but not some of the newer bricks.

Hulk is spectacular, the arms look great with the bulked-up body. Iron-Man is x100

Unfortunately, most of the Enlighten sets are rip-offs of Lego sets and illegal. Some of the sets look nice, the quality isn't too bad, but that Santa Fe train sure looks a lot like LEGO's.

That's a great use of those eye pieces, I don't know what to do with mine. Nice work.

Yeah, same here. The server blocked it for "pornography".

REVIEW: 8188 Fire Blaster (Power Miners)
Spyder replied to CaptainRex110's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Great review, wonderful minifigs, horrible set. Thanks, hopefully I can pick this set up soon. -
Oh well, that sucks. Hopefully we'll have more than just two new SP sets next year. I completely forgot about the windshield! This will be my first in yellow! Yes!
-
I forgot to say great review. But seriously though, could you take a pic of that page to the right of the parts inventory in the instructions. It's shows the one new set we know about, does it show any of the other SP sets?

REVIEW: Atlantis 8060 Typhoon Turbo Sub
Spyder replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Great review. Although this has the most technic of all the new Atlantis sets, I'll still buy the set, along with the rest of the line. -
I'm so getting this sets, not only for the purple parts, another squiddie, but also because there are 1x3 tiles!!!!! Woot!
-
I think Lego does a good job of balancing it out, although I see much more technic in system sets than I did 5 years ago. Alot of the Power Miners sets are 3/4 technic, but I still buy the smaller sets that have less technic. For me, I love a little technic in the set, they are great for adding playability and details. In fact, I need to order a bunch more gray half-pins for MOCing, as I'm all out. The only thing I don't like about technic is the colors of most of the pins, especially the blue ones.

I have to have music on, playing on iTunes on my computer. I build in my room on the floor. It's kinda hard to not build there as that's what I'm used to, but I'm trying to construct a Lego room and start building on tables. Besides that, I don't have any gross habits, I'll be drinking something, but I don't eat while I build. That's a big no no. Sometimes I'll have a movie playing on my computer in the background instead of music.
