MOC - Royal Planetary Guard Anti-Flight Cannon
Spyder replied to lightningtiger's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Very nice Lightning Tiger. I love that uniform, I've been looking for a way to fit that into a space theme. Mind if I make a few RPG MOCs? -
Absolutley great, and as already mentioned, it would make a great battlepack.

I doubt it would live forever if I stabbed it...

Review; Lego Club Magazine March-April 2010

How strange, I've never heard of this happening before. Maybe Quality Control was on a coffee break. Anyways, great review, VBBN, for one of the many different versions of this issue. -

Yeah, mine included the Bionicle comic. I have no idea why Lego wouldn't make the European comic in 3-D, or include the Ben 10 interview. Seems Europe is getting ripped off again. EDIT: Here's the interview. -

Maybe your comic, but not mine: -
Nice MOD! I'm really liking that full black one, but it might look better with a darker windshield. The orange and yellow look great with the black, so I think my favorite would be the orange one.

Leave it to you to create a massive building that not only has a wonderful exterior, but an absolutely amazing interior. I love all the little shops inside, especially the clothing store and the little bar on the second floor. My only suggestion would be to add some changing rooms to the clothing store, and the dark tan looks a little weird mixed in with bley on the roof. It might look better all bley. Other than that, the rest of the building is perfect, and looks splendid set up with all the other modulars on display.

Great review, I just bought a couple of these, and the other Atlantis impulse. The other impulse is okay, but the only reason this set got an "average" rating is because of that amazing minifig and trident.

Actually, my magazine has an interview, and the Atlantis comic is in 3-D. -
As already said, in the end, it's all up to you. The Technic lovers will tell you you need Technic, and the System lovers will tell you to stick with System. I, personally, have never bought a Technic set, I get enough Technic with System sets: Example.

Very nice, I love the bricking technique used on the corners. It looks as if that truck barely passes under the clearance, so I would raise that by a couple of plates, but it's up to you. I love the little hints of sand green on the windows. One more suggestion though: You might want to add a couple of tiles to smooth out the top of the billboard. Overall, I must say, you did a truly wonderful job on this.

I chose "Refuse to buy the big sets." It is super rare that I ever can afford one of the bigger sets, seeing as I spend all my money on the smaller ones. The $10-$50 range is what I usually buy. Besides, there's not many big sets that come with figures that you can't get from the smaller ones. (The exception is Licensed Themes, those are a whole other story. A very expensive story.)

I live in the US, and have never had a crushed box. They fill a cardboard box with big plastic air bubbles, and then put the box actually containing the set in between the bubbles. The only issue there might be is the pieces crushing the instructions and sticker sheet, but that happens when you buy sets from the store too, so you can't really get around that problem.

I haven't gotten any emails from Lego, so I don't think I'll be a Beta Tester. Oh well, the game will be out soon for everybody, so I guess we'll all just have to wait 'till then. By the way szww, how active are you on Lego.com? Do you have a Lego Club account? I'm just wondering if they match the emails they are given for Beta Testing with Lego Club emails, and see if they are active at all on their website. That might be how they are choosing Testers, although it's just a theory.

I have tried black ones. The only thing is that I don't want it to appear as though the clips that hold those brown rods go into the horse, I wanted it to look as if it was something that went around the horses middle. If I use black, I feel it would blend in with the horse too much, so it might look like the clips were stabbed into the horses sides.

Taking advantage of the Toys R' Us "Buy one get one 50% off" sale, I bought the following today: 1x 8056 Monster Crab Clash 1x 6293 Cannon Battle (I now own two) 2x 7567 Traveler 2x 8072 Sea Jet 2x 8073 Manta Warrior I really like the Atlantis sets, and they are really well priced, even at TRU!

I made these a while ago, when I was into Age of Empires III First some units: From left to right: a minute man, a ship captain*, a miner, and a hussar in the back. Next up we have a Falconet: I think it turned out pretty well. A shot going off! The connection point And lastly a Mortar: Mobile. Ready to fire. A closeup. *I don't think there were even captains in the game, so I can't remember who he's supposed to be. Any ways, they all didn't take that long, but they were fun to build. The hardest one was the Falconet, although my favorite unit in the game, it took me a couple tries to get it built in Lego correctly. C&C welcome!

Those are some great ideas, I would love to have a joke shop, and a medium-sized cottage that came with that goblin (I forgot his name, isn't it Griphook, or something?) would be wonderful. And I would welcome any battle packs, or even a redo of those Gryffindor House and Classroom sets, just not in orange.

Usually I use the "Active Topics" button to find out what people are talking about, but when I'm not logged in, I'll usually search the topics individually.

Both figs in my opinion look way too mega-blocky for me. General Grievous might as well be a mini action figure, and the Boba-Fett helmet is waaaaay to detailed. I like the old helmet much more. Although I'll still probably buy the Slave I, and maybe GG's fighter, I'm really disappointed in how Lego has redone these figs.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion
Spyder replied to Nabii's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I'll probably just buy a box of each series, that way I have the best chance of getting what I want. The problem is that they are $3 each, which seems a bit expensive for a minifigure. And that shovel looks really . I know by this time, Lego has already made most of the minifigures and they are ready to ship, so Lego can't change it now. But honestly, why Lego, did you change the mold? It doesn't save that much plastic, it's not really any smaller. -
This year's Castle sets look very nice, and after I buy all of the Harry Potter sets, these are my first priority. This year is definitely better than last year. Just look at all that dark green, and it's nice to finally have knights fighting knights again.

Great Tutorial Clone Killer, I was wondering how to change the thickness of the lines. Hopefully this is the start of at least a couple more tutorials?

You could give 'em to me.
