  1. This Brickshelf Folder has some good zoomed-in shots of the two boxes.
  2. Yes! Although it's way over priced, I might get it. I'm really looking forward to that new set, Maximum Security Transport. EDIT: 8709 is available too! Hooray! What's up with the random carrots in a box?
  3. Up in the right hand corner of the first post, there is a button that says options. Click it, and a list will come down. Under "Display Modes" you have it set to outline. To make it back to normal, or default, click Standard, to switch it back. I think there was already a topic on this, but I don't know where.
  4. I think that is a good idea. So the republic officials and troops covertly arrive in Anchorhead. They keep a low profile because Czerka Corporation will report them to the Sith. They slowly move towards the mining camp. When they reach the camp, they find several buildings in ruins, while others are burning to the ground. They find that this has been the most vicious attacks yet, and the Tuskens have taken over half of the camp. Cazador, as well as Spyder the bounty hunters have been spotted somewhhere in the camp, but no one knows where they are now.
  5. 6209 played a big role in my Lego life. It was what started to get me interested in Lego. I got it strictly because the ship just looked so amazing, and I couldn't believe it was made of Lego. Summer of 2008, I was browsing a little bit on the Lego website to see if they had anything else nice like the Slave I. That's when I stumbled upon 7888. It was a dream come true. I quickly went to Toys R Us and picked it up. Now remember, these are all just sets that I got for the vehicle. I got 7888 for the tumbler. I just had to have the tumbler in Lego form. I bought 7737 because of the amount and variety of pieces in the set. 7621 I got because of all the nice tan pieces and the other random colored pieces in it. Those are pretty much the only sets that I've ever bought that I don't get for the minifigs. I just love those little guys! Oh, and I bought 10192 and 10186, not for the minifigs, but because they were on sale.
  6. I hope this is the right topic to post this in. I just found this Brickshelf folder and I am wondering, are those really going to come out in the future? I really like that break-action shotgun. I would buy it in a heartbeat.
  7. Oh, don't worry, I'm building right now and will start to take pictures tomorrow. I have to make up for all the MOCs I could have built while I was gone. I can't wait till tomorrow either! ________________________________________________________________________________ Here's the beginning of the third chapter: (Just the text, I haven't taken pics yet) The local miners have started to defend the camp, and are regularly fighting off Tusken Raiders. Spyder lands at one of the many outposts encircling the camp. There, he climbs up the tower of the main turret, takes out the guards, and waits. After several hours, an attack comes. He tries to ask the Tuskens where Ezelon is, but the Tuskens just attack him. He disposes of them, and heads deeper into the camp. He comes to a huge gate, probably used to defend the camp. There is only one guard, and he is easily disposed of. Spyder climbs up the gate and enters the core of the camp. There, he finds utter chaos... That's the start of the story, for my character. The Republic officials and troops covertly arrive in Anchorhead. OK, that should have begun the story, you are now free to continue it! Pictures for this post will be coming soon, as in today soon.
  8. We are on Tatooine. See my last post in Chapter 2 for the back story.
  9. I knew you would! So is everyone OK with the story line?
  10. I doubt it, they wouldn't go an extra step to protect a bunch of plastic bricks that they can easily replace. They make the boxes big so that they appeal to your taste of "I want something big and grand". They want the set to appear larger than it really is. What catches your eye first, those huge boxes with the bright flashy printing, or those small, dull Tiny Turbo's packages on the wrack at the end of the aisle? It's all marketing. Your brain instantly thinks bigger means better. It's the humongous decorated box that has the action plastered all over it that makes the little child want it.
  11. Well then, I believe that I will pick Tatooine. Maybe we can do Naboo later. Tatooine just seems easier for everybody here to make MOCs of, and tan is a pretty common color nowadays. The setting will be outside of the city, Mos Eisly. Ezelon lands near a mining camp, and befriends Tuskens. They raid the camp, for several months, hoping to gain enough supplies to start a new army. Spyder has fled Bespin after the Sith's attack failed for the most part. Both the Republic, Spyder, and Cazador are drawn to this raiding party because there have been rumors of a Tusken wielding some sort of hot glowing stick of light. The Tuskens fear and bow down to him. They follow his every order, and if they don't, he uses the air to somehow crush their neck. The mining camp is starting to fail, and the men have begun to take arms against the Tuskens. Both the republic and the two bounty hunters grow of suspicion that Ezelon has returned to Tatooine to gain control over his home planet. The story will be held in the camp for now. Now then, let chapter 3 begin. Flash, if you want to add my backstory to the first post of chapter three, you may. I'll start to make my Tatooine stage for my MOCs, so let the story continue.
  12. Yes, I am back. I think Tatooine sounds good, or maybe Naboo? If it's Tatooine, then it should be somewhere in or around Mos Eisly, as that is what most of us all know pretty well. Naboo could be either Sith trying to take over a Jedi Palace, (deja vue) or maybe the Jedi stumble upon ancient Sith ruins that Ezelon has fled to. Naboo sounds better to me, but I want to know what you guys are thinking. EDIT: Or maybe even Naboo swamps! Hey, at least we can massacre some Gungans.
  13. Agreed. I have the same problem with the troll helmets, I've noticed that some are darker than others. I have not bought any Castle sets with the wheels yet, but when I do, I'll see if some of the wheels differentiate in color.
  14. I like to buy sets for the pieces, so I usually don't keep the sets together for more than a week or two. The longest set (or at least part of a set) I have kept together is Batman's Tumbler. I just can't bring myself to destroy it. The Agent's mission 3 plane I kept together until a couple weeks ago, then I modded it, then I took it apart. To me, that was one of the coolest planes Lego has ever come out with, but it just had too many cool pieces, so I took it apart.
  15. The idea for sets centered around medics is a good one. I'm afraid that Lego will naver do a war theme though, so we can only dream. Unfortunately, your folder isn't public yet, so I can't view your creations. Here's a quick tutorial on how to deep link them. EDIT: Wow, very, um, graphic. Good job! :skull: It's realistic, and looks like what it's supposed to be. However, I don't think that a man bleeding that badly would be standing, even with the help of a cane.
  16. I second the motion! Please bring back the good 'ol Tuskens. The stormies are great, but you can't beat a shot made by Smokebelch of a nice Tusken Raider out in the dunes.
  17. Nope, does this every once in a while. Veeerrry annoying. All the folders are there, just the files aren't showing. I'm surprised that it isn't back up yet.
  18. Sorry about the double post, but am I the only one still playing the game? I gotta leave tomorrow for camp,( hey, I warned ya. ) and I was wondering if anyone could take over my character while I'm gone. From the looks of what the past couple days have been like, I don't think much will happen while I'm gone. I'll only be gone till Saturday. If my character dies, then might I make a new one for the next chapter? I was really enjoying the game, that is, until everyone apparently stopped playing. First person to offer to take my character gets him until I'm back. (You have to be currently playing the game.) Thanks guys.
  19. Gaaaahhhhh! I hate it when people say that! It drives me crazy! Thank you so much for bringing this up. It's one of my pet-peeves. people need to learn how to correctly pronounce Lego, and if they can't, we should be able to take all their Lego away from them. And that's the problem. The box is what sells the product for bionicle. (most of the time) I'm not trying to make all you Bionicle lovers mad, as I don't want a flame war, so I better explain myself pretty quickly. SOME pieces are useful, as many have proved, but I feel that Bionicle has lost it's imaginative side. Now Lego is making one time molds for it, and they can't make more than a couple new system pieces each year? It's just wrong. Don't get me wrong, I have tons of Bionicle, I collected the first two years of it. It's just not like Lego to produce a piece that can only be used as one thing in a certain set. You see what I'm getting at here? I want Lego to use pieces repeatedly in different ways, not make a one use piece in every set. OK, that's all I have to say about Bionicle. It's not a bad line, I just feel that it's lost it's imaginative side. I would rather keep yellow, but yes, it would be better if Lego just stuck with one color. The problem I see is, with the steep racial climate we have right now, I don't think we really want to produce them in different skin tones. This is Lego for crying out loud, it's a toy! Why change the color of the minifig after you've been producing it yellow for over 30 years? I think for the most part that it was the change that angered AFOLs, same with the frown and bleys.
  20. I don't mean to burst everyones little bubble of joy here, but this has already been posted. The other topic doesn't have those sources, so it would be nice if we could merge the two topics. As for the show, I can't wait! I just started watching the show after a friend of mine made me watch a couple clips online, and now I love it. That house is gonna be a huge project, especially getting the plumbing to work. EDIT: Buttons beat me to it.
  21. The top on would probably look the best, just slide it on. (the axle side) Darn! I was about to post a picture I just took of it, and Brickshelf is now down.
  22. I'm having the same exact problems. Good to know it's not only me. However, every picture I've ever deeplinked is still there. It just shows the folders as empty.
  23. Very nice, I like that it's small, but can still fit two clones. The use of the torch holders for a turret is a great idea. It reminds me of Saber Scorpion's Jotun Tank.
  24. Good choice! You won't regret it. Welcome to our humble abode.
  25. Not necessarily, We are about half way through July, and August is about the time we get rumors of the next year. (I think) I for one have already seen that video, but yes, I agree it is probably a battlepack. But I doubt it's a hoth battle pack, they have no reason to make a Hoth battlepack, but I still hope it is. Especially if it's Imperial, however, it is a Clone Wars box, so I just don't know. Gosh, it's fun to speculate. And besides, why delete this topic, when someone else would just create another in a little bit when the first leaked image comes out. Plus, some people haven't seen this video, and now they will, because it's not burried in the '09 one.
