Congrats Stash2Sixx, now, together, you and KimT can rule the Star Wars forum.

I just love those icicles. Great vignette, I really like that tavern wall. Did the jester buy a whole keg of wine? And he drank it all? And now there's no more wine!?! (Insert Darth Vader NOOOOOOOOO here.)

I think you have a master piece right there! Great work, I just absolutely love the architecture. That little balcony for the princess is great. The tree with the parrots does seem kind of empty like mentioned, but I think it looks good that way. Those mushrooms are another nice detail, as well as the little splash of dark blue on the tower. Oh and did I mention how superb the architecture is? 'Cause it's great! Keep up the amazing work. EDIT: Exactly how tall is it?

Right here. It was released in '03 Great review Big Pete. I can see what you mean, it's so small, it just lacks that certain charm that the snowspeeder has. Nonetheless, it is a nice little set, too bad it wasn't released.
-
What issues can't you fix? It's perfect. I don't think you need to fix anything. Amazing work!

I'm off to the Lego store in Florida on Wednesday, so I should be able to pick a couple things up that I can bag-build on the trip home. It should keep me occupied for a while. Hope I don't overload my brain trying to get one little piece on 'cause I can't grip it through the bag.

Good thing I watched it this morning. The video looks like dog-chow, and the audio is horrible, but from what I can see and hear, it looks like a sweet movie. Not necessarily bad, but it will be different for sure.

This is just amazing! It's perfect, and it needs to be a set. I would buy it without a second thought. Truly spectacular work Ralph. Two thumbs way up.

This is a great set, but only because of P-Squiddy. I'll admit, the police speeder is cool, but P-Squiddy is what really sells the set. I planning on buying multiples of this set for the red cape and figs.

I have a Big Lots maybe a mile away from my house, but all they carry are a couple Bionicle sets. Still, I'll check it just to make sure. Thanks for the tip.

First off, I completely agree with you. I love Star Wars, so I don't know if the huge price tag is worth it. Like I already said, it might be the best City set, but I don't know if I'll get it. It's a factory set, so those heads might be on Lego factory or Pick-A-Brick. I actually already asked if the star was new earlier in the topic. To answer your question, no, it is not new, it's from Bellville. And you mean the tan thing under the tree right? That's a teddy-bear.
-
It's already been mentioned, but there are so many nice pieces in it, that I think I'll actually get it if they don't come out with a Star Wars advent calender.
-
T first I thought this set was over priced and would be kinda lame, but now it looks like the best City set ever! I must have those singing heads! and look at those two purple lightsaber blades that the skiing girl is holding. What is the snowman's scarf made out of?

Ha! That's great. Clones are from a galaxy far far away, so they could be aliens. If you replaced the clone troopers with Jedi, it could be an ancient Jedi temple.

Preliminary Pirate set from the 80's - it was never released!
Spyder replied to Emperor Claudius Rome's topic in LEGO Pirates
That thing has way too many minifigs and buildings to be an official set. It might not have as many pieces as some of the bigger sets today, but Lego has not yet come out with a set that has that many figs. I think it's just a MOC. -
I think it's great that TLG upgrades pieces, just as long as they don't completely get rid of the originals. The new stud has several uses, as do the new 2x2 plates with one jumper-stud in the middle. So I would love to see them in more sets than only the games, I just don't want them to take over the original stud.

Great review. I hadn't noticed that the goggles on the Rebels were different. I am actually planning on getting two of these even though the price is jacked up ten dollars. It's worth it for those snowtroopers.

... when at least one room of your house is just for Lego. ... when you are on this forum for over half the day. ... when you hear 2x4, or 4x6, etc, you instantly picture the Lego piece in your head. ... when you describe something's color as bley, or dark bley, or rown. ... when you know exactly how long an inch and foot are without a ruler, because you read about a set's length online and take out a ruler to see how big it is in real life. I do that all the time. ... when somebody insults Lego or says its a child's toy you want to punch them. :skull:

You have some very good points there, but the Sith Trooper can outsmart the droid, (have you seen how stupid the battle droids are in the clone wars show?) and I just think he's cooler. So sorry, I just love old republic stuff. My vote stays with the trooper. Yes, a poll would be nice. It's also nice to know that both you and Fishy have played RC, so you know how hard SBDs are to take down, especially on the hardest difficult, which is as close as it can get to a realistic difficulty. I'm glad that you gave the trooper an ion rifle to make it more fair. Maybe when you show the fight, you can make some big, thick walls for the trooper to hide behind so that he doesn't get his but fried with the flame thrower.
-
Good idea. I vote for the Sith Trooper, those guys rock, and he could take down a droid easily with the training and the ion rifle. Howver, SBD's are extremely hard to take down in Republic Commando the video game, really giving you a sense that they are super battle droids. I still vote for the Sith Trooper though.

Thanks Flash. When I get back, I should be able to post at least a few reviews, and buy a couple Tuskens off Bricklink.
-
On Wednesday, I leave for Florida! What's so great about this you ask? I'm going to the Lego store in Disney! I hope to buy mainly Pick-A-Brick because that is something exclusive to Lego stores, and I don't have a Lego store near me. I come back next Friday. Long live the Tuskens!

It's been awhile snice I showed off my decals.
Spyder replied to Dutch's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I just love that Sith Trooper Armor! Really great work. I assume the helmet decal is just for a regular head? I also like the red remake of the Mars Mission suit in red. I wonder why Lego changed the suit color for the cover of Lego Battles? -
Very nice! I like the way you made Revan. I think I might create some MOCs from the Old Republic too.
-
In all the official pictures it does seem that the stripes are all regular green. I have no idea why I got two with dark green stripes. I wonder if Peeron or Bricklink has the torsos listed twice for each color.
