  1. Sure thing. 6209- Slave I (2007 version) 7888- The Tumbler: Joker's Ice Cream Surprise 7737- Coast Guard 4WD & Jet Scooter 7621- Indiana Jones and the Lost Tomb 10192- Space Skulls 10186- General Grievous These are all the names of the sets that I bought for the structural build. If yo want links, I can give you them too, just ask.
  2. I voted I hope so, but realistically no. The fantasy subtheme is dying, not the Castle theme. There's not very many sets out this year, which indicates to me that it's the end for it. I think the trolls and crownies are great figs, but I buy the sets for the buildings. If TLG won't give us elves, then they are probably already designing the new Castle theme for 2010. I would love more village sets, and a modular castle would be awesome. Another thing I would like to see is a reincarnation of the forest men, as TLG has done with the red coats.
  3. In my point of view, Indy is actually improving because of the new PoP sets, look at all those new molds. Now Lego can put those pieces in Indy sets. I'll still buy PoP sets even if it replaces Indy.
  4. So getting PoP sets next year. Those new head wraps, torsos, and helmets are great. Not sure about the Toy Story figs, although I will probably still get them. Lets hope that those army men can come off the bases. Look at those military helmets in green. Absolutely terrific, I now can't wait until 2009 is over!
  5. I voted: Yes, and I'll kill for one on the new Antilles minifig! I really like that new double sided head that came in a couple of this year's Castle sets with the scared side. I hope Antilles has a double sided head! I wouldn't kill for it, but I want one really badly. The only thing I don't like about double sided heads is that usually, if your minifig has hair on instead of a helmet, then you can see the other face. It still won't stop me from buying figs with double sided heads though.
  6. My bad, I didn't know he came with a vest, I just went to Peeron to look at the torso. You could always use Brasso to remove the printing off the new Agent's vests. (That's what I'm gonna do with my vests)
  7. I doubt it seeing as they didn't even include a Vader. You've actually posted some pretty good points, I'll probably wait until a sale too, although I'm almost sure it wouldn't be marked down to $100
  8. Where on the front page? By the way, they are already discussing if the sets will come back here.
  9. Sweet! Leia's office isn't too bad, At least it has some nice sand blue tiles. I just hope the space is tall enough so it can fit a minifig standing. Otherwise, we'll be forced to mod the height of that section, and it will look all wrong. That cockpit will definitely need some modding, but overall, I'm happy with what Lego has given us here. (I just wish they could have included a couple more exclusive figs.)
  10. I'm pretty sure Augustus Gloop has blonde, wavy hair. (At least in the original)
  11. That's a just security guard uniform, not a bullet-proof vest.
  12. What an ingenious use of parts! I would have never guessed that they were made out of that. I liked the second movie better than the original, so I'm glad you decided to use the Jonny version of Wonka.
  13. Wow! everything is great! I love how you made the candy mushrooms and flowers. The boy's pose as he falls in is good too. Willie Wonka is perfect, I think that head suits him well, unless there is a better one that I can't think of right now. Those vines look great, how did you make them?
  14. Lego already sorts them for you, they put the big pieces in one bag, the medium in another, and all the really small ones like pins and studs in another. All I do is dump each bag out and keep them in their piles, not mixing them with other bags. (Unless their are two bags of small pieces, big pieces, medium, etc.) If it is a bigger set, then I just dump them out as described above. If it is a small set, then I just dump it into one pile.
  15. Must get set. Unlike most sets, I loved it as soon as I saw it. Too bad it won't be out 'till September. The price is fair, there are some new pieces, an exclusive fig, and lot's of white pieces. (I love white) I just wish they had included Vader and a stormie too, it's not asking much. As said, I sure hope Antilles has a double-sided face with a choking side. With some modding, this set could be superb! The one thing I'm confused about is why Leia's office is included. She didn't have that in the movie. Palpatine has his office on his new ship, and Leia on her's. Well, I would much rather get this than the venator, this surpasses it in so many ways. Good job TLG!
  16. OK, here's one for ya. When I was in second grade, I decided to mix up the word shut-up, and I somehow came up with s**t So I started telling the class about it. I didn't know it was a swear word, but they kept telling me that. However, I told them that they were tricking me and trying to ruin my fun. So I said it to my teacher and she told my parents. My parents then found out the whole story, and weren't mad at me. I explained to my teacher and she understood. So everything worked out in the end.
  17. Whung has a whole bunch of pics in his folder, including some nice ones of 5979 Max Security Transport. (Sorry if these are old pics, I don't keep up on the SP III picture news much.)
  18. TLG is extremely against violence such as wars. I'm surprised that they even made Indiana Jones, I'm happy, but surprised. War is bad, and I don't endorse it, but it is there, and I don't like it when people pretend that it's not. Thankfully Lego doesn't do that. They do acknowledge it, they just don't want to make children's toys of it. Besides, I'm happy with Star Wars and the rest of the other supposedly non-violent themes we have today. In kid's eyes, someone has to be the good guy and someone has to be the bad guy. Lego isn't going to say that this one country is good and another is bad. It's just the way it is right now. Hope that answers your question.
  19. I know it's kind of general, but I think you should build a huge hollow volcano, not with BURPS and LURPS, but just with regular brown bricks. You can have a platform at the top holding the laser gun, and the rest of his bas can be actually inside the volcano. As for plates or baseplates, I would use plates, it's just easier. The interior should all be coated with heat resistent metal plating, so that it is inhabitable by humans. Inferno should have a big personal office, with tubes running through it, pumping lava from the core to the top. I would use a couple light bricks to make the lava glow, giving off a really cool effect. You could have a barracks, or separate specialised rooms for each of his minions. For example, Spy Clop's room could be coated with webs and a couple spiders, and Dollar Bill could have gold plating on his wall, with money everywhere. These are all just idea popping into my head right now, hopefully I've been of some help to you.
  20. You do know that you can get Sqiddie really cheap in this set. Agreed. It has some cool figs, a sleek craft, more gold, and all while keeping the price/parts ratio pretty well.
  21. Of course they'll keep it running, it just came out beginning of this year. Here in the US, there have been a few Pirate commercials, in fact, there were quite alot of them earlier this year. I've probably seen more Pirate commercials than Power Miners to tell you the truth. However, I do not watch alot of TV, so I might not see all of the PM commercials. I also have seen a few SP commercials, but not too many. I think you are right about the evergreen themes, I saw a City commercial today that I've never seen before, and how often do you see a Castle commercial. Lego is promoting those temporary themes the most because they want people to buy those too. They already know people will always buy the evergreen themes. I do agree with you about the short of sets. They need to come out with more later this year. An idea that just popped into my head is that maybe they didn't make alot of sets this time, so that kids could afford to collect them all during Christmas and birthdays, and then this Christmas, TLG will release a whole boatload of sets, so that parents are forced to buy them all for their kids, because the kids want to have the entire collection, like they did with the first wave. :pir-skull: I doubt it, but it's just a thought. Lego knows how popular Pirates was, so they brought it back. They haven't done that with any other theme. I don't know why they even discontinued it in the first place. TLG wouldn't discontinue it again after only one year. That would be crazy.
  22. I believe that this belongs here. As for the actual misprint, I'm not exactly sure how that would happen, although I think Imperial Shadows would buy it from you . Leia isn't supposed to have smooth hair. They are both the same mold, one just doesn't have the hair detail on it.
  23. I use Brickset to count my parts and minifigs. My count right now is I have 12746 pieces, and 124 minifigs. I'm hoping to double that by the end of this year, seeing as my collection is minuscule compared to some of yours.
  24. I think you did an absolute splendid job! The color scheme is great, I really like those orange highlights. It reminds me of an advanced Mindstorms NXT robot, except a whole lot smoother. You used a nice SNOT technique on the main body and head. Overall, a very good job.
  25. I'm pretty sure that Peeron would be your best tool for this. Here it shows every pieces that came with the set, and a picture of the original box. Is this what you were looking for?
