  1. BricksCascade is happening in Portland, Oregon this next weekend, by the way.
  2. Back on the topic of the new Pick-a-Brick selection, my order arrived today, and the parts listed online (the torsos and visors) sans printing are indeed print-free. Just in case anyone was curious! The trans-blue Stringer torso is lovely without the printing.
  3. I still think these are mostly prototypes. Considering how similar they look to the ones from that video with the super prototype minifigs, I think that the final sets will look a bit different from these. You know, as much as can be seen in these three-quarters of an inch tall photos.
  4. Haha, I've got some big projects in the works I think they'll come in handy for. But like everyone else, mostly just interested in seeing if the parts that came with printing in sets but seem to be offered without through PAB indeed are print-less. Will be excited if so.
  5. I did the same. Did you get the email saying that Pick-a-Brick orders are going to be experiencing a temporary increase in shipping and delivering times too? I mean, nearly three weeks is already long enough. But hey, 100 of those double socket parts from Stormer XL is worth it.
  6. It's more than that- LEGO sets are more expensive in Australia, even after conversion, and TLG does it on purpose. Australia's toy market sees LEGO as a high-end toy, and as such, TLG can charge a premium price as a premium product. So they do. In America and, to a lesser-extent, Europe, LEGO does not have this same "premium, high-end" perception in the toy market. Ergo, lower prices.
  7. Haha, I was going to say just that.
  8. It's usually pretty safe to bet that the photo with finished-looking new moulds is going to be the more final version than the one with generic parts. Usually.
  9. That's because the other ToyFairs are usually private, with "no camera" rules and often NDAs. The one in NY is designed to promote lines to collectors and fans above and beyond just retailers.
  10. You'll find out in my BZP review in the next week.
  11. Probably because furries are crazy.
  12. I really like Breez. I think she's the best of the three heroes. I don't really understand the "nonsensical brown" complaints. The only brown on the entire set is found on the weapons, and it just makes it look like the underlying weapon is wooden or something. Weapons don't have to be the same colour as the rest of the set. That doesn't make sense! Who has time to colour-code their weapons??
  13. Okay so the rhino's really obvious in that trailer, but I didn't see any bears.
  14. ... Are there secret bear and rhino factions hiding somewhere that I just missed somewhere?
  15. I haven't had this problem with any of my sets...
  16. It's a new, bigger shield piece. It is the same one that came with the Captain America Ultrabuild.
  17. The helmet-face reminds me so very much of Jaller Inika's mask. It's a little crazy.
  18. I really like this guy, he's a lot less boring in person than he looked in pictures, and his colouring is actually fantastically done. This is the set I'm working on for my BZP review too.
  19. Classic red exo-force arms!
  20. Instead of these video reviews can we get some photos? I really hate video reviews and photos are way easier to use for judgment.
  21. It's the exact opposite. BZPower was much much larger than EB when we were threatened with those problems, and EB was much smaller than BZP and flew under the radar.
  22. Except that having multiple constraction themes at the same time is a publicly acknowledged goal of TLG's. They've said many times in public that they want to get to a place where they have multiple unlicensed constraction themes. They want to own this market. Your entire argument is basically "I see them at my store, so they must be unpopular, and I can't imagine this, so it must not be real."
  23. Can hardly sell HF right now? All indications we've received from TLG is that HF has sold quite well, thank you very much. And TLG has said publicly that they'd like to get to a point in the constraction figure market where they have multiple constraction lines on the shelves at once, so mission accomplished.
  24. HF shells in a green that isn't lime or that terrible green from Green Lantern!
