Which would explain how the Big Bang actually started.... how? And it's hard not to mix science with religion. Why should the two be mutually exclusive? It's an arrogant way to look at it. I've had several friends, professors, teachers, what have you, that accept the Big Bang, but also believe there must've been someone, call him God if you wish, to start it all off. Sure, the universe just fits into place, but that too can be attributed to an intelligent creator. Take LEGOs. They all fit into place too, but without someone to put them together, do they? To say you don't need a god for that is to assume the highest level of arrogance available. Forget the arrogance in saying we're the only sentient life, or life period out there, this one takes the cake. How do we know this very laws of nature claimed as being able to run without a god, weren't put in place by one? Designed by one? Kept running by one? Truer words may never have been typed. We humans assume the highest levels of arrogance, of pride, selfish desires, and all other off-putting mannerisms everyday. Would you want to visit this place? Lord knows I wouldn't. <<DV>>
  2. Oh, Jinzo, it hurts so bad. >_< <<DV>>
  3. Wow! The friends I have that bought them had to return them due to an overheating problem that rendered the system in a non-working state. Apparently, this seems to be a world-wide phenomena. Rushed production don't ya know. Personally, I'm waiting for a revolution. Oh yeah. <<DV>>
  4. Been here and gone. I think they were here in Tulsa... three weeks ago? Somesuch thing. I do like some heavier stuff, but I draw the line at screamo, and flat out heavy metal. No. And the See Spot Rock tour this year didn't have the punch the last few years have had. The bands this year were almost unknowns, and they didn't have the range of musical stylings found in the first three years. And Pillar was there, again. Pillar, I think, has decided to make it their headline tour. lol. That's alright, I love Pillar. Have to support the hometeam. Yeah I run into the Pillar guys at Wal*Mart. Whoo! <<DV>>
  5. Oh yikes, nor did I mean to somehow infer you did. Well, Bionicle piece ratios usually suck, you get one or two good pieces, and the rest are over-specialized pieces. So multiples is a must. But I don't usually buy Bionicle only. Thanks to Jinzo and Cajun, I've bought more system sets in the past year than I've bought Bionicle since it launched. I was so seriously kidding about the Bricklink being bad thing. No, I don't use it, but I know it's pretty much amazing for many, many people. I don't use it, because I don't need it. *shrugs* ^Ditto^ <<DV>>
  6. SuvieD and Sir Dillon have some good tastes! Heck yeah. Number One, will, forever and for always be, dcTalk. Always and forever. Two, as of now, is RelientK. I can't get enough man. Their lyrics are so brilliantly striking, especially with their newer works. Three, a very inconsistent spot. I love Audio A (the banner came from one of their songs), Newsboys, Switchfoot, TFK, Kutless, Pillar, POD, MWSmith, TobyMac, Tait band, and lately the Afters have majorly tickled my fancy. Oh yes. I'm a Christian music junkie. <<DV>>
  7. The American Civil War is by far the most fascinating moment in American History. And I would definitely have been a Reb. Slavery was a non-issue, until Lincoln, the crafty politician he was, turned it into one. Sadly, it's remembered by most as -the- issue the Civil War was fought over. Quite a shame, considering on their original principles, the Confederates were right, to a point at least. Their government would never have worked, it was too loose, and unorganized. But as the United States was originally just a union of seperate 'states,' or political bodies, the Confederates should have been able to withdraw. They had to wait to be let in, they should have been able to leave. Political science is so much fun in America. Two major political parties, who have very little distinction compared to parties in Europe. In America, both parties want the same thing, they argue on the 'how'. Very unlike most European party divisions. And Lee was amazing. And Grant, while a brilliant general, was a crappy President. <<DV>>
  8. My dear Legoman, if Bush took the time to read up on all the insults to him, he's waste all of his vacation time. And as the leader of the most powerful country in the world, lord knows he needs that rest! Read that article, and it all makes sense. And, I'd like to point out, Michael Moore's site is second, behind only Bush. So, it's not just a one-way thing. <<DV>>
  9. It's kind've square... Boring even. <<DV>>
  10. I hope not, it seems the European deck is stacked against my more conservative Dub-lovin' self. <<DV>>
  11. I'm sure I don't count, even with my multi-BZP contest awards, but personally, I've never bought pieces en bulke. I always buy the sets, even if it's for only one piece. Because that's how I do. And there's always a use for most pieces. You just have to find it. No, the teenage clerks behind the counter. A lot of Target stores and the like hire teens to run the registers. Teens make money, and the company doesn't have to pay real wages to a real working adult. <<DV>>
  12. No, it won't. Too bad, untruths are never fun on-line. And that one's a pretty big load. <<DV>>
  13. Freakin heck. Another reason why Bricklink is something I look on with distaste. True LEGO enthusiasts should buy the sets to get the pieces they want! ;) But seriously, the heck? You'd think Target employees would be on guard for something like that. I mean, it's -clearly- a huge set. It -has- to cost more than what he paid. Teenagers were probably at the register. Dang teenagers. ;) *takes the elevator back up to the top of his sage-mountain to ponder the socio-economic ramifications of this story* <<DV>>
  14. Just not Bionicle ones! ;) But yes, hello, enjoy this place, etc... Haha. <<DV>>
  15. You know, these pictures make the pieces look that much better. The sets still suck, but I'm still gonna have to nab some for pieces. Whoo. <<DV>>
  16. Yep. All the areas Jinzo mentioned, plus the wings move at a joint on the back, each wing independent of the other. I haven't gotten that far yet. I'm trying to find the perfect action pose. It must be perfect! I agree, but the red hau melts in with the 'helmet', and the white one looked to skeletal. And I couldn't find the grey one. Plus, the character's always had an infected hau, for story purposed, back when MOCs of mine had stories. It's a throwback. Didn't look as good as you might think. Tried it. No good. Also tried adding studless plates, also not good. Too many corners, not enough round. I've always preferred long, skinny swords. Ones easy to wield single-handedly. Plus, I'm totally out of flames as far as I could tell. There's probably more, I just didn't feel like digging anymore. Sorry man. Should've told me. I'd totally let you post first, and then we could call me the look-alike. So last minute it's not even funny. Which is high praise, I didn't even get a "Looks like everything else you build" comment! Whoo! It took forever to get the proportions near right too. Plus, I'm a tweaker. I'd think I had it done, only to see something I could do differently with something else. And make it better. So I'd tweak. He was so not this tall to begin with. Then I tweaked. And again, and again... I'm horrible. And... <<DV>>
  17. This has always been my experimental character. This is the 4th or 5th incarnation, I build him evertime I really want to experiment. And I think he turned out very well. Front View Left View And while the flame trick is old, I have to admit, ThraxisJr's latest MOC completely brought it back to my attention. So yay for him! <<DV>>

  19. Well, our other refuge is drunk on the whine. And they didn't bring crackers or cheese. Good, DV is my preference. It didn't go anywhere, it was just expanded. Bionicle is popular because it's so inclusive. A good story, good pieces for MOCs, interesting characters, MOCs, MOCs, among other things. You should try it sometime. ~_^ Bionicle MOCs are -so- much more involved than minifigs. lol. I really don't see why such hatred exists. Just click Jinzo's Brickshelf, my Brickshelf, or Cajun Vayland's Brickshelf. Besides, system mechs all look the same. <<DV>>
  20. Although you can't deny the overall crappacity of those sets. Poor LEGO. That is the intent, is it not? Now, we should drag ol' Cajun on over. We'll have converts left and right. Because he's Cajun. But it's true. The Bionicle-based MOCs are, for the majority, built by younger kids, with no real skills. They just want to make a new toa-thing. So it's easy to see how people can think low of it. But their's such a veracity hidden in it. It can do anything. People just don't see it. <<DV>>
  21. 18. I originally bought them to augment my system stuff, I used to have these little adventures with the MOCs I made, and the toa were just going to be another addition to those. However. I got way into them, and I'll admit, the original storyline sucked me in. Then I got onto BZP, started hardcore MOCing, and now I buy system to augment my Bionicle/Technic MOCs. Full circle. <<DV>>

Made for one of those monthly contests on BZPower. It won that contest, coming from behind in the polls by a lot, to winning with a vote majority twice the number of the guy who got second. And yes, it's a Bionicle-influenced MOC. But it's Fusion man. Fusion. <<DV>>
  23. Why hello there all. Like Master Jinzo there, I'm mainly a MOCist, with a heavy Bionicle presence. I'm more into a Bionicle/Technic/System fusion lately though, and I nowadays find myself pretty much buying whatever catches my fancy. Eighteen, so technically an AFOL, college student, broke. For a Brickshelf link, click the rather Runic banner in the sig. I've been a BZPer for a long time, founding member of In the Bricks, a site for MOCists, originally a refuge from BZP noobs, and now a zone for pure and vintage whine. With little else. As for the ego comment, it's mostly a joke. I do hold the record for the most wins in the BBC contests on BZP, but I enjoy joking around, and often it takes the shape of excessive hubris. Trust me, it's all a facade. And let's not forget the flair for the poetically dramatic. And with that... <<DV>>
  24. Jinzo, you need to stop hiding that genius of yours. You should seriously show the rest of the MOC. Unpublished is bad. Just keep it off BZP so you can enter after your self-imposed 3 contest exile. <<DV>>
