Ok, the main body is finished in design i am just waiting for the parts to complete it then its on to the wings, stand, landing gear. the landing gera will be of the same design as lego's IMP shuttle as there is no room inside my MOC for retracting gear, i estimate it to have around 3000 parts once finished.
What Pilots do i need for it?
Alas try as i may i cannot have the wings geared so they will have to be free floating, as this will be displayed in flight mode then that is fine, they will fold up but at the moment i do not know how to keep them there!
building time no its about right thinking time as i build it in my head (if you know what i mean)probably double then. Mmaybe i am strange but i find it easy to build the MOC in my mind than use the ldraw, mclad programs lol
to be fair i have nowt else to do, not at work since xmas and had no car till today so what else could i do It's probably taken me about 20 hours so far, it's the 'getting it perfect' to my standards that takes the time, as i will rebuild parts of it a few times till i'm happy with it but so far it's just falling into place easily
The event is being held in the recently refurbished Student Central building, Longside Lane, Bradford on Saturday 26th March 2011 from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm. It is free to enter and open to all.
Wayhey, i have finally worked out a legal connection way of making the sloped sides of the shuttle work! It makes it look perfect and gives near enough the correct angles etc. it even allows more snot work for Brickdocter to drool over! Pictures of progress will appear tomorrow! i expect it to be finished in 1-2 weeks!
