  1. Maybe just maybe they have included the figs for us AFOL to sell to the young uns to compensate the cost of this set. i agree though if there is no where to put the figs there seems no point to them,a bit like the stormtrooper in 10212. but we need more pictures before any more speculative comments.
  2. come on guys stop drooling over the SSD and give me some feedback lol
  3. Ok a small update and i need some opinions, The roof is almost finished apart from the front: Also it was annoying me that when viewed from above the shape at the front did not match the SM so a little tinkering later i now have sloped sides at the front: So my question is does it look better like this or as before and if any changes are to be made what would they be?
  4. does anybody know where on brickshelf the pictures in a lego mag with prototypes of the 10175, speeder bike and SSD, FBTB had them years ago and i have lost the link. never mind i found it lol
  5. well it's not deleted from Lego.com the Executor has always been in Empire and was not edited in after the prequels. Looking at the picture i'd go for an interior the bottom of the hull in studs up and flat perfect for an interior but we will see in time. Also we may get another UCS this year just like last year. With a bit of luck Lego will display this set at AFOLCON in a few weeks and if they don't i will find somebody from lego and pick their brains over the set. Maybe the pic was put on Lego's cache for it to be found
  6. don't worry i was compensated/paid off As for the Executor, hmmm i would have preffered a UCS Cloud car, Tie Bomber, Probe droid & Pod, Wampa, tauntaun sculpt + many more, it looks nice but just too big to display. A smaller more detailed model would have sold better and looked better imo.
  7. yep got it working now!! still no idea how to use it though lol!!
  8. yeah if only there was an outline tool that would cut the model out of the picture. would make it so much quicker to edit!
  9. Dragging an old thread back to life i have been messing with my photo's to better show my mocs so what do you think of the first one i have edited?
  10. I put all my dirty lego in a pillow case and then in the washing machine, 40 degree wash with a slow spin, then leave to air dry on a towel, works fine and does not remove print or stickers. i will try that oxyclean stuff though looks like it works well.
  11. Hi, Well i downloaded and installed LDD4.1 installed fine but when i click the launch icon nothing happens, any ideas? just for reference the old one worked fine.
  12. it looks pretty accurate to me
  13. i have a Joe johnson sketch showing the scale of the tank to a person if it's any use?
  14. nah just a few pounds!
  15. just a few pics to show the difference with the flash on and off
  16. well i don't know what the problem is the old LLD worked but this new one installs fine and then i click finish and launch and nothing happens.
  17. Hmmmmm, Accuracy it all depends on the scale the MOC is built in, when i build a MOC i first decide on the Scale to build it in to get all the details in the Moc i want it to have. Sometimes Minifig scale and other times larger scale theres no method it's just what looks best in my eyes. A few examples:- AT-AT, i built it big as it is big and i had never seen a very good looking AT-AT in a smaller scale also though when on display it gives the same effect as the models in the movie. My Tie fighters, are all built to the same scale as the official sets just for continuity reasons plus they are not that big if built in minifig scale. Slave-1, this i built in a smaller scale as i have yet to find a way to build the cockpit glass in a larger convincing scale. Sandcrawler, i was thinking of building one but again legos version was terrible and all the other sand crawlers i have seen where big, then i saw MB WIP and that settled it minifig scale it was. Also when posting my MOC's for veiwing by others on here i am expecting criticism as most of the time i get blinded by the MOC and cannot see the flaws in it's design, take my recent RAS i thought it looked fine until Brickdoctor said that the sides were not sloped steeply enough i didn't agree but upon looking at it again the flaw stood out like a sore thumb and eventually i had to rebuild it correctly. It's also nice to get the well done comments aswell but the criticism is what makes the next MOC better than the last.
  18. of course http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/rgeiger/Instructions/UCS-AT-TE/parts_v2.txt i'm surprised you havent found them!
  19. yeah thers a lot of structural differences but it's a good start as you well know.
  20. UCS AT-TE just change the colours and a few other bits and bobs. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/rgeiger/Instructions/UCS-AT-TE/at-te1.pdf
  21. it may be a joke but have any of you seen the MOCs on FBTB
  22. sob sob, all this news or system sets yet still no clue as to the UCS set this year, still no news is good news and it must be something special!
  23. come on everybody after 3 1 2 3 you can rebuild it Marshall!!
  24. i believe that it is 2 studs wider than Marshall's to be realistic it should be another 2 studs wider but hey ho it'l do. yeah the reddish browns are very vaired in tones, on that first picture there are only 2 1x8 bricks 1 2x2 tile 6 1x2 tiles 1 1x8 tile 8 1x4 tiles the rest is either reddish, drk brown/orange! i believe charity begins at home lol ask nicely when it's finished and i will pop round with it for you to see!
  25. the camera makes the browns look strange for some reason in RL they look fine, most of the different browns are all reddish brown!
