I still think there will be a new sub theme for the summer. NYC Toy Fair is the big one and they could be saving it to show with the TRU special. We still haven't seen the City House, Truck or TRU exclusive at any of the Toy Fairs so maybe there are a few sets still left in hiding, some extra Transportation sets to fit with the truck stop and Trains.

Power miners... ending!?
The Green Brick Giant replied to Omicron Squad Leader's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Last year LEGO released 14ish different Power Miner sets, that's like two years worth of sets in one year. This year there are only 4 and no summer sets. Sure no one knows what they are planning for 2011, but only 4 sets in 2010 doesn't look good for a 2011 release. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion
The Green Brick Giant replied to Nabii's topic in Special LEGO Themes
People hate Bionicle because they don't look like anything LEGO has produced in 50 years. People hate Bionicle because the pieces rarely connect to the other LEGO lines like EVERY true LEGO line does, Dublos and System sets connect to Technic. People hate Bionicle because it looks liek it's made by some cheap megablocks company from China. But the one main reason why people hate Bionicle is because the line is the same crap every damn year over and over and over and over and over and over again! It never changes! All LEGO does is make a new "mask" piece for a new year and makes it in 10 different colors so they can make 10 "different" sets that are always the same. In the first series of these collectible minifigures there are 16 different minifigures, none of them look alike, that more in one month that are different than Bionicle had in 10 years. -
The Castle is $100, a base plate is $15. It should just be included in the sets. The one type of set that should be on baseplates are castles and temples and instead LEGO will stick a baseplate on a Police Station and Hospital.

I think the first year of Castle Fantasy was nicely designed, could have been a better in the back towers of the Castle, but still nice. The first year of most sets that aren't called Knights Kingdom are nice. We have to see what the future brings and if LEGO can keep the set design up. I really hate the red, I wish it was dark red, it's too bright right now. It's also a little too blah for me, I really wish LEGO would make a castle that's on a raised baseplate. I can't stand these flat build and snap castles, mainly because they are impossible to move.

Power miners... ending!?
The Green Brick Giant replied to Omicron Squad Leader's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
LEGO Action themes only last 1-3 years, most of them two years, so yeah it's probably the last. Frankly I'm shocked we got a second year at all, this year is also rather lacking besides the awesome minifigures. -
What do you look for most in a lego set?

A sale price. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion

That would be like $1500 plus tax. Considering you seem to have the money to spend on minifigures that I spent on LEGOs in the last several years combined, can you buy me a box of each? -
How much longer will medieval market place be up?
The Green Brick Giant replied to UberJumper's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I can't remember when it came out, was it last January or the year before? If it was last January then you should be OK in 2 months. I love the $100+ sets and i can't afford to buy any of them, I only can buy LEGO when it's on sale. :( However I did find the $40USD drawbridge set at a Walmart yesterday for $19, so that made me happy. -
I agree, I hate that new helmet. Human vs human is nice but kind of boring. The walls are stickers, they have been stickers for IJ, Castle, Pirates walls for awhile now.

There are always City sets that come out in the summer, I doubt all we will get is the TRU set and the Trains no one can afford. So if we haven't heard about anything then it can still be Zoo. Plus didn't someone on hear who works for, or something, for LEGO say there will be a different theme for the summer and not just a Fire / Police / Hospital? I'm holding out hope! :)

World Racers Summer 2010
The Green Brick Giant replied to The Green Brick Giant's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
That is all LEGO ever goes after in wide release sets / themes. At least with Agents they looked decent. -
The TRU set will be shown in about a week at the New York City Toy Fair. I do find it interesting that NONE of the summer City sets were shown, maybe LEGO has something huge planned? *Hopes for LEGO City Zoo*

I really like the "US Product Name" set. Those big blue windows are probably my favorite bug piece LEGO makes, glad to see they are still around.

World Racers Summer 2010
The Green Brick Giant replied to The Green Brick Giant's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
That's the only decent thing I see about them, the look horribly designed, like a little kid threw some pieces together. However new torsos are great because I'm a City fan and we never get anything new. -
That is awesome, I love the little in jokes. I still miss Aqua Raiders, it was a fun theme and I enjoyed it more than this one.

LEGO Doctor Who minifigs by Mr Spielbrick
The Green Brick Giant replied to Mr Spielbrick's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I haven't seen the specials yet but in the 30 seasons / series of Doctor Who no one ever stays dead and what they do to the characters are lame. I have only seen the four new series and I'm already sick of the Deleks, they just keep coming back over and over worse every time. That's just how it is, people never die. Also hasn't The Master died about 5 times now? -
Lady in grey - How much are this plate? Lady in red - $150 dollars. Lady in grey - $150?!?! $150 FOR A PIECE OF PLASTIC!

This set still looks like a mess to me. It's not different enough than the last one, and what they did change made it worse. At least the last one had a left to get into the airplane.

Using more pieces in the windows makes it look less clustered? My only complaint in the beautiful country like station is the windows.

What made you get out of your LEGO dark age?
The Green Brick Giant replied to BearHeart's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Mine only lasted about a year or two but it wasn't my fault, it was LEGO's. The company started making City Center, aka City Junior and it was a mess, huge mess and a lot of the other sets started sucking too so I stopped caring in 1997-1998, so in stopped caring. Then in a store i saw Space Port and I loved them so I bought all of that theme and that slightly got me back enough to get me through the horrible LEGO years.
